Finally forced to upgrade from V8 to Todo Cloud. Got the warning the app (V8) no longer worked with the current iOS version and that I had to upgrade. Went ahead and upgraded only to lose all my data. Went ahead and paid for a month thinking the old items I had would show up. No dice. Lots of lists that I used are gone. Canceling the subscription and deleting the app. Been using this app for a very long time.
I am pretty sure they had a lifetime option back in the day that I opted for, but so many of those lifetime deals were too good to be true. Bait and switch. Oh, that no longer applies as we have rewritten the app so it is a “new” version. Might have to go back to the trusty pen and paper lists.

I’ve been using the older version of ToDo for years. I have no need for the cloud version and was perfectly happy with the version I had. Instead of trying to innovate new features to attract subscribers the developers decided in the most recent update to REMOVE a feature (repeating tasks) and put it behind a subscription paywall. Poor form. I’m deleting this app and moving on to a paid one from a developer who respects their customers.

When I opened the app today after upgrading my iOS version last night, I was told I had to upgrade from Todo 8 to Todo 10. I clicked yes, and it said it was preparing all my data and lists, but that was utter lies, since now when I open the app, it is all gone. Been using this app for years, but I’m deleting it now. Since I have to recreate all of my lists anyway, I’ll do it elsewhere. Such a disappointment.
