Iv played this game back in the old days and it was fun for many reasons, 1. The story was good, the more you progress the harder it got so the game made you do other missions to improve yourself that weren’t to easy but not to hard. 2. The “units” back then were reasonable to obtain through the summon portal for me it took at least a few try’s to get but at the end i got the ones I wanted. 3. The game had many and I mean many types of different missions that had different goals and side goals that gave the player really good rewards.

Now currently the game is pain to win? Why because they now added more “units” that cost gems but the percentage rate is so low that to get the units you have to buy gems with real money. That’s been a thing to buy gems but never the rate for the units were so low. They offer once a while these “ bundle packs” that has gems, tickets, and etc to get more units at the cost of $$$ which they ain’t cheap the highest I saw was 90$. So if you want to play the game for fun go for it but later down the road you hit a point with “power units” meaning you can’t get more powerful unless you get better units.

This was one of the first mobile games I got, and I used to have a ton of fun playing it. But after a while content started to become a bit unbalanced, still perfectly doable but you were mostly at the mercy of RNG weather you win or still lose after doing everything right. Bosses have unwritten rules so you have to look up what they are online, since doing one thing wrong meant instant death no exceptions. Now the “harder content” has gotten to the point where you can’t do anything with out being in a guild or having limited edition units, collaboration units, or units made specifically for that one specific content. It also doesn’t help that they have very lackluster reward units at the very end of beating the frontier rift stage. Since gumi puts all their more broken unit ideas on limited edition units (which was still a bad idea to this day) you basically have to spend money to get them. You can get lucky yeah but after a certain point you basically run out of ways to earn any kind of premium currency and any amount you do get from the developers isn’t even enough over half the time.
While I’ll keep on going until the game closes one way or another it’s hard for me to recommend this game to anyone anymore.

I’ve been playing this game for over 3 years now and overall it’s been so, so much fun. It’s always been pay-to-win game model, but the multiple in-game ways of getting gems to perform summons never really made me feel like I needed to spend money- something that I really, really appreciated.

But now, especially with the new “step” system, the amount of times I need to summon just to get one special edition character is ridiculous. Getting to the “max step” only improves my chances by 4.5% since the first summon, what kind of game does that? I used over 100 unpaid gems to summon over 20 times just to get Yan & Yuan but instead exclusively received units released back in early 2017. Even with the newest frontier hunter I was able to collect 11 gems and a summon ticket from the recent Spring Mike event, all of which gave me useless, outdated units. It completely ruins any kind of incentive to play the game and seeing new units arrive is no longer exciting because I know how difficult it is to summon them.

Yes, I am salty. Yes, I am upset. But gumi has really outdone themselves now in their money-grabbing business model where only sponsored youtubers have enough gems and summon tickets to get these new characters. I’m incredibly upset to say I’ll be deleting this game.

I’ve been playing this game for a long time and it’s alright but event where your get characters are ridiculously hard and the getting characters through gems is flawed in my opinion just because it entirely luck based there is no other way to get stronger characters without using gems and all the old characters are practically useless when going up against the newer ones the current Tokyo Ghoul event is not really worth the energy you can beat the guy the first time by doing no damage and the second time around he one shot 50% of your units and the ally they give you goes down on the first hit being practically useless like it’s just there to be like “look at me I’m a Tokyo Ghoul character spend money and still not get me” and it not like I’m using units that are under level or not upgraded I went i with fully level and max attack characters and barely did a dent this game is fun but is more fun if your lucky and it not even worth buying gems for characters or event characters the chance of summoning them are almost next to impossible they say that you have a higher chance of getting them but unless you’re drop $100 down on BraveFrontier you won’t get them it also feels like grinding to get stuff is not rewarding 4 years ago the game was amazing now it just alright and it pains me to say that

When I first played this game I loved how it was easy to pick up. The gameplay was ahead of it's time and didn't change much during the years. It was original till other companies hopped on board. Then the updates came... This game became a hassle to load up for older devices and it would cause inconvenient crashes here and there. Every update happened in the game rather than on BraveFrontier Store so it took a long time to download. Even now, I picked up e game again and found that it took over 3 hours to download and even caused my device to overheat. I literally can't even play he game on the same device I started playing it on. It gives me the same error no matter what I do. I love the game and it will hold a great place in my heart but I can't even play it anymore.

On top of that. He game is bland. Each new event sort of portrays the same thing and doesn't seem too unique. Each character has different ability names but some character literally have he same exact name. What happened to their creativity?It's fun at first but once you do everything the game doesn't have much to offer. I get that it's a bachata but still... If replay ability is something you treasure never look into gachas like this

If you have an old device I highly suggest not playing this game. You will be disappointed.

I absolutely love this game I’ve been a loyal player since it came out and have put over a $1000 in it to get certain characters that I desired but lately the game has become practically impossible for me to play because it’s always asking permission to download the data for the next screen that I have to accept otherwise I won’t continue so I’m no longer able to auto quest and I was able to live with the it was annoying but I put up with it because I enjoyed the game so much but as of recently whenever I try to get into the game it requires over a 2 GigaByte download that takes hours to complete and I’ve tried my best to remain loyal to the game and log in daily but now it’s because extremely difficult (practically impossible) because anytime something takes me away from the screen it starts all over. So I’ll be leaving the game until that is able to be fixed which saddens me greatly because I will miss so many incredible units that I will not have the chance to get again!

Back then I rated this 5 stars when I was still new for BraveFrontier, but now after playing BraveFrontier for a long time, I noticed problems. First, the collaborations are a great way to gain event units but most of them require summoning them and that’s a problem. I know gumi puts a lot of work into these but it would be nice if we have the chance to get these event units as drops from event dungeons. Reason is that gems are not easy to come by and chances to gain units is either luck or just plain nothing. Speaking of summoning, getting repeating units form summoning it very irritating and a waste of gems used for it. Sadly there is no way for gumi to fix this if they can’t since it is likely to happen but doesn’t mean we have to like it. Plus during the event summonings increase rate to summon is rather a decreased rate to summon them (more based off personal problem) but I’m sure this applies to everyone else whether they agree or deny it. So minus 1 star for event summon problem from “increased summon rate” and minus 1 star for how to gain event units. If you have the time to read this thank you for it and hoping it is possible to fix it, if not thanks for trying.

I love this game so much that i truly don’t play no other game besides this on my free time. I read one of the reviews and he/she stated that people could get 7 state units or higher on their first summon and he/she makes a great point you should really make it more of a level thing to begin with and also y’all should make a i guess you can say a “duel” icon to where we can fight again our friends do to the fact that my friend and I can’t deside who is strong if me or him and I also feel like others would feel the same way. It would be the same as the arena but it would be fun to challenge our friends, if that makes since. But keep up the good work and don’t make units be so easy to come by because later on that person would feel “to op” and probably stop playing I had to make so many accounts but I knew how to level up so fast so it never really bothered me once I learned but at first yes it was a struggle and hard work but it was worth everything. Thank you for this amazing game!!!!

I’ve been playing off/on since the game came out YEARS ago, and haven’t had nearly any issues until now. I understand the game is constantly updating due to ongoing and recurring events, bug fixes, and unit pavilions, but every day for the past 2 weeks, I’ve had to wait 30 minutes for the game to redo its initial 2.2 GB download. In fact, today, July 25, 2020, I had let the game do its 2.2 GB download after launching BraveFrontier , and not even 12 hours later, I launch BraveFrontier again and face the same 30-40 minute 2.2 GB download. I am a patient person with most things, but the constant wait to play the game for even 20 minutes is getting ridiculous. I love this game, it is in fact my favorite mobile game ever! But I will abandon it if I have to keep waiting so long to play the game every single time I want to play it. Please, if there is a way to fix this, I hope you do. My phone has more than enough storage for the game to download thrice over. I am unsure what the problem could be. Otherwise, 5 stars, and 10/10 recommend to everyone!

If you are seeing this review for this beautiful game then get ready for an actual insightful review.......This game is great, probably even the greatest, but there are things wrong with just like everything on our planet. Problems such as the possibility of a connection error, a quest might be to hard and have toooo many unessesary step to complete it, or the sudden realization that you've reached a dead end in gameplay because of the difficulty. Even though with these problems, the game still manages to amaze me(As a guy that has played it for 3 years now, I haven't found anything boring.) The customer support is really reliable as well, if you have a problem then just tell them.(They actually read them.)The graphics are drop dead gorgeous and the character sprites are very cool to look at due to the very retro/pixel design. The story keeps you captivated and may get predictable, but is still amazing to look at your fellow summoners develop in character. The amount of content is another great thing about this game, you should never be finished with everything or you should at least have one goal to try to accomplish. All in all, this game is one of the few games that have actual effort put into it, which is a lot more than other mobile games nowadays. And did I mention that this game is totally doable if you're f2p!

I can see where this game wouldn’t be for everyone but for me its great! I’ve downloaded this game 3 times now over a multiple year period, sometimes I don’t have the extra time. I always find myself coming back to it and diving head first back into the fun features.

It’s a time killer game first and foremost. Ability to auto speed through passed missions is a great feature. The number of playable characters is phenomenal and you will find yourself fighting to find room to hold as many as possible. The artwork was what drew me to the game first and the different evolutions of characters keeps me grinding for hours on end. Increasingly incredible aesthetic additions to each characters evolution makes you want to grind just to see how the upgrade changes the character. Awesome job here, keep producing evolutions to older characters and making new ones!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

i love this game, and it's so addicting but every update only brings more issues. i get randomly kicked out of my account a few times a day, due to my "game session expiring" since i was supposedly idle for too long. however, these incidents only occur WHILE im playing the game, so how am i idle?? and if the game is referring to long term idle-ness, that doesnt make sense either, since i play everyday for at least an hour. this issue has become a huge burden on me to restart the game and wait for it to load and download multiple times a day. furthermore, lots of times quests and grand quests just turn into a black screen when i start the battle. i usually let it sit for about 5 minutes, but then every time it does not resume, forcing me to restart BraveFrontier and then open BraveFrontier , with my energy depleted and resources wasted. if these problems were fixed, this game would be so much better. thank you.

Hey everyone, and Gumi and Alim too. I LOVE BF a WHOLE lot. It’s so much fun and there’s always something to do whether it be collecting new units or new spheres and materials and there’s always one thing or another on my plate. I also really love the story and extra modes like Raids, Trials, or Crusades, and they’re so great. That being said, I have a feature I would really like to see implemented, and that would be trading. I love this game a lot, as I have said, and I say this with no mean spirits, they this game is basically Anime Pokémon. That’s great, and it really works, but Pokémon has a trading system and I think that would work really well in BF, like maybe you can trade units with people on your friend list or your guild mates. Obviously special one-time only spheres and units could be excluded, like global exclusives and trial rewards, but for some of the other units, I think this could be really cool and potentially helpful to a lot of players, not to mention make the game more fun overall. I do hope that Gumi and Alim read this and take my suggestion into mind, as I’m just trying to make this game the best it can be, and I just wanted to reach out and let them know about this idea. Other than that, if you like RPG’s, at least try this game. It’s free, after all.

I have been playing this game since 2014, and I can honestly say I am in love. I love fighting games and the collecting concept is very addictive. Although it has its defects (glitches, lag, maybe even sometimes miscount of gems) it is still a great game. The game has a lot of goals, trials, and things to keep you interested. Me, personally, I have a lot of rares that I can’t use because of my cost limit (I wish there was a way to expand that 😅)

Also- Since I have been playing this game for a long time, I have lost some accounts and I think the creator should add a way to save accounts because I lost a great account that I loved and and so much luck on it. I don’t think the creators should only use the Facebook method to save and transfer accounts. A lot of angry players could back up these statements.

But, nonetheless, if you are looking for a good sturdy RPG game with lots of content and interesting gameplay, you’ve found your pick.

This is an excellent app and I recommend it to anyone in need of a great game to stick with for a while. You always feel like you progressing, and for good reason, and there’s always a next step to look forward to. As far as bugs, One minute issue I’m experiencing at the moment is with the summoner’s Journal. There are several achievements that for some reason don’t want to be completed. For instance, one achievment is “reach novice rank in the arena.” Currently I am at Guardian rank and would very much like it if I could reap the rewards and move on. The others giving me issues are “collect 2000 merit points”, and “use a revive potion in battle” it isn’t much, but I’m very frustrated that I cannot collect my journal rewards! Thanks for hearing me!

Experiencing a new issue where raid battles don’t work on my iPad. It is zoomed in really close on the map and I don’t have the ability to view my units at camp nor move them off of camp

My account is about level 440 because I’m not farming to level 999 but my Facebook messed up and sometimes my phone crashes Brave Frontier when I’m trying to update it so I have to delete the game then re download all the content. Im hoping that after contacting Gumi and then helping and responding so fast that when I re download the content I will have my old account back and it will be linked with my Facebook again. If for some reason my account is lost and I can’t get it back then I don’t have any problem restarting the game but I wouldn’t have the old units I had but the game is so easy and is an all round good game because right now if completely restart I would be able to summon some decent units and be able to have a squad that will auto play 300 times while I sleep for the few days it’s left because I would get karma and way more XP and level up the account. The only time there are ads is when you choose if you want something such as an extra daily spin and you can do that a few times a day or to spin the raid slot machine.

I have been connected to this game for probably just after it first came out... for it to be the 7th year... let me start over. I was very much addicted to the game I played for hours days even, probably ruined multiple phone batteries to keep playing it. But then, I don’t know year 3-4, my account somehow got deleted or something and I was in shock. I was so upset but could do nothing about it but restart. I got kinda far but was never the same so I deleted BraveFrontier . But still I could never stop thinking about the game and always download the game again and try out the new features but like I said I was very connected to my first account and it never felt the same. I was on my 4th attempt to replay the game I found out it’s on the final steps and felt compelled to at least give it a review. This game has probably 1/10 of my childhood even when I stopped playing it because of the account problems. I love the game so very much. Thank you guys for making this game and letting me enjoy it so much. I’m just going to end it with a smile I guess : )

This game gets 5 stars with out a doubt, absolutely free to play and very generous with gems, which you can in app purchase. I spent just a few dollars without even having to, and was so worth it. The character art is phenomenal, each character are unique in their own way which makes me want to keep collecting. Evolving each character to see how the beautiful art and characteristics change makes you feel so accomplished each time you do. There are literally thousands of characters!!! Raids, quests, PVP, Vortex stories mission and special quests so much to do. I played it years ago, recently reinstalled and returned, and I’m amazed by how my extra content has been added making me wish I’ve never stopped. Everything that you possibly need to progress with In the game is available with out paying a dime, just a bit of grinding needed, but still, it doesn’t make you feel stagnant in anyway and if you love it so much that you don’t want to put it down for a second then go ahead and spend a few it’s worth it. Only thing that I can say needs fixing, is the bit of crashing and errors, it does have and even still nothing closing and restarting BraveFrontier can’t fix.

I’ve been playing this game since 2014, and even if I delete it for a period of time I always return and play it. I’m at the point now where I just like to collect and evolve units and play arena. The thing though is that karma can be pretty aggravating to get. Yea you can get karma by doing quest and the karma dungeon once a week, which gives you a lot of exp, but then you get to the point where units require 1mil+ karma to evolve. For someone like me who likes to collect units and evolve them just to read their character story/info that can be pretty inconvenient. I’m hoping y’all can add units like the jewel units where instead of selling them to get zel, you get karma instead. That would be pretty cool and convenient even if it’s a dungeon. The zel units sell for huge amounts of zel, but the karma dungeon to me doesn’t give nearly as much karma that’s necessary if you get a bunch of 7/8* units you want to use or just evolve. Please think about it though because I’d find myself playing more if there were units that sold for karma. Also if in the exchange hall you can use points to exchange for karma. I have an abundant amount of points but why use them for spheres or units to evolve with it I don’t have the karma for it???

I’ve been playing this game for years on a multitude of phones, and I’d just like to share that this game did it right. What did they do right you ask? The better question is what DIDNT they do right, the countless units to use and/or battle with, the collaborations with many animes and the boss battles for them, daily challenges, all the stuff in the research lab and trials, THE ANIMATION ESPECIALLY a great retro pixel look while in battle, but yet a beautiful high definition picture while inspecting units. And my goodness gracious THE STORY IS IMACULATE, all the character development and how each story character has their own unique relationship towards you and others they know. Notice how I didn’t say “npc” just then, because you can acquire them as a unit!!! The raid battles are tons of fun aswell as the arena. All the vortex quests and ACTUAL challenging bosses or battles. This game is a 15/10 would definitely restart my data and grind my profile again. Great Job Gumi!
