I use OMGbricks because it’s free and you can scan mini figs and add to your collection and track your collections. But I saw this and it looks pretty good, after I downloaded it you have a straight wall block of pay to use. And from what I’m reading this ads on there, why make it paid if you’re going to have ads let the ads create your revenue, this is a luxury, not a necessity. Brickify could easily be extremely popular, but I think what will hold it back is the subscription based fee. If anything I would make it at one time purchase, I bet you would get so many more people to just pay for that. But with the economy, the way it is most people are already looking for ways to save money, they’re not gonna spend on a subscription. This would be the first thing they will cut out of their budget. Just a little disappointing and sad that Brickify is paid.
I did, however, try the free trial and then canceled it, scanning mini figs is a little off, yes, it will give you a price, but if you change the mini fix head or body or give it something else it completely thinks it’s a different Lego piece and gives different prices each time. It’s not consistent. For example, I put SpongeBob chest on Goofy’s body. Yeah, only recognized SpongeBob’s chest and said that Lego figure was that. I also put Darth Vader’s head on Bojo fat’s body and it said it was Darth Vader, and then scanned it again and it said it was the Mandalorian.
As they do say, they get numbers from soul sets on eBay and values, but I wonder what values are actually getting because I’m on eBay as a avid collector looking for Lego sets and the prices they were telling you the sets were worth was way more than current set selling on eBay. So I’m a little concerned that it’s over inflating the set price because it was way off on the set prices on eBay that you can buy it for brand new. I mean, I’m happy for the higher price, but that’s not what the price is that they’re going for.
