Latest version crosses my “line”

I have used this app for some years now. Really like the content. I probably open this app 15-20 times each day. Sadly, the latest version (late January 2021) crosses my line of minimum acceptability, making it unbearable (for me). The new feature that just goes “too far” is a big banner of advertisement that appears a fraction of a second after the background of the home screen first appears. Then, nothing else appears for about 5-7 seconds, after which the app’s useful options appear. Essentially, I now have to wait an additional 5 seconds EVERY time I open the app, during which period, the ONLY thing I see is an advertisement. My time’s too valuable. Bye bye, app. Going elsewhere. Too bad.
Snowfall overlay BIG fail

I'm a teacher with a 60 min. commute and needed an app which included predicted snowfall via radar (i.e. reliable data). This app consistently shows radar clouds as purple swaths which, according to the key, is 36" of snow! The LIGHTEST amount of purple indicates 18" of snow. I was panicking on Jan 15th because the app also showed a severe winter weather warning which led me to believe we were indeed getting 18"-36" snow. However, all other weather reports predicted 2" snow, which turned out to be accurate. Totally useless to me. FIX THE SNOW OVERLAY

The app isn’t horrible, a little bit slow but not bad. It used to not have any ads before you watched the 3 minute weather, why is there ads for such a short video. I have seen along time ago they would mess up the editing of the videos and sometimes it wouldn’t be weather, but now ads before a 3 minute video. I’ll stay with the garbage weather app on my I phone.
