I adore ocsocialnetwork and the concept behind it, but it definitely needs some work.

The tagging system is very rough. Half the time when you search a tag it will tell you there’s nothing in it (even if the preview says there’s over a thousand posts in it!), and then when the tags DO show up they’re in a random, non-chronological order and often only span about ten posts at most before ocsocialnetwork decides to withhold them again. The like button also doesn’t work every time, and the inability to see who left likes on posts/comments when ocsocialnetwork already has perfectly working non-toggleable profile view notifications(which I find far more personally invasive) is disappointing.

Less pressing of an issue is the lack of an ability to separate in vs out of character information. It’d be nice to have separate places for your vs your character’s bio, people you want to follow vs people you want your character to follow, tags you add to posts for people in the same fandoms to find it vs what the character would actually tag that post with, etc.

I found ocsocialnetwork through a fandom friend and immediately fell in love with the concept- this sort of roleplay is right up my alley. I’ve seen so many cool OCs and it’s been a lot of fun planning out how one of mine would use social media. I have a few concerns though- the most blatant one being regarding AI. I’ve seen in multiple places ocsocialnetwork claim to disallow generative AI, but the daily summaries and such very clearly seem like genAI. This features bothers me from an environment standpoint, and also it doesn’t coincide with ocsocialnetwork claiming A.I is disallowed both once in ocsocialnetwork and on their social. Besides that, it is a fairly glitchy app. Which is fine, I know it’s still new! But I have issues with likes showing up and being able to click on others profiles. A was to turn off profile views would also be nice.

I love love love LOVE the idea of ocsocialnetwork to be honest, but it’s really upsetting to me that despite the description saying it’s anti ai, the summaries that ocsocialnetwork provides seem very genAi, I have currently deleted ocsocialnetwork as i don’t want to participate in what could be ai until i have confirmation that it’s fixed or that it wasn’t ai to begin with. In all honesty i believe that it isn’t a necessary feature especially if you’re using ai and it would be better off without it (again ofc if it is ai) since it is advertised as a zero ai app from what I’ve seen.

So, the whole thing that ocsocialnetwork promotes is that it doesn’t use AI. However, quite literally all of the descriptions for actions and personality quizzes and cute little things are AI. ocsocialnetwork is made by the same people who made Status, an app with the same idea except it’s solo and the other people on the faux social media are AI versions of characters. So, if you got ocsocialnetwork solely for the fact that it doesn’t use AI at all, sorry, it does. It’s nice that there are other people on ocsocialnetwork , and it’s great that there’s limited AI, but I wish they would make it more obvious in the description that AI is still used for other parts of ocsocialnetwork . I was excited to finally have an app for my OCs without it. All in all, fine if you’re okay with some AI, but not your cup of tea if not.

I absolutely love ocsocialnetwork and the fact I get to act as my own oc’s but the moodboard section is really jank and annoying to work with, I really wish I could change how things are layered and I wish it was easier to select things that are under other images. Other than that, ocsocialnetwork is great!!

I know ocsocialnetwork is still really new and still getting stuff figured out and updated. They have made a lot of updates in a small amount if time! And plus it’s so fun and I’ve been obsessed with making new friends on here and creating stuff for my oc. ocsocialnetwork has been phenomenal for that. But lately my app has been severely bugging out. Comments will show up blank and lead to entirely different posts, notifications are shoddy at moments, likes will bug out as well. Lately I’ve been wanting to read some comments and it will show up completely blank which has been frustrating no matter what I do to try and fix it. Even my own comments will be blank. Amazing app and a feat of its own, but definitely still a little rough.

It’s been an AMAZING experience so far and I love everyone that I’ve interacted with, including people who have interacted with me as well. Everybody’s characters are all so very interesting and unique! And the fact that mostly any age can get ocsocialnetwork and showcase their OCs either by being in character or out of character is so inspiring because it truly shows how art and creativity doesn’t just go away the older you become. It sticks around as long as you are passionate about it. Thats why I love ocsocialnetwork. It truly gives artists and writers a space to express themselves. ☺️✨

ocsocialnetwork is super fun and easy to use, it’s especially easy to find people in the same fandoms as you, but I will say it does come with an issue when searching tags. Once you search a tag it will show how many posts each tag has, but if you refresh the tag it will still show the number of posts but respond with “No posts under this tag! Try a different tag.” Despite showing hundreds of posts under said tag.

Hiiiii I love ocsocialnetwork the only problem I’m having is in the relationships thing whenever I favorite it. it will swap around and that’s very annoying so I was wondering if you could fix it? For example I’ll put in he sees me as a “colleague “ but I see him as a “best friend” whenever I favorite it swaps the other way around and then I try and edit it but it only make another version of my oc for some reason and when I try to delete it. it says “failed to delete”

I love this concept. It’s really fun especially if you want to promote your OCs and do silly stuff. I think what it would lack is the amount of customization! Personally, i love LOVE to be able to customize my profile, make it look more colorful, etc, but if you’re trying to go for like a Twitter or Instagram kind of aesthetic, then it’s pretty good! I think it could use a way to be able to promote discord servers so people can join and actually RP! Otherwise, i REALLY LOVE IT 💞💞

First day I got on, my account randomly got erased and had to make a new one. I went to the discord and other people were having the same problem— but then I saw multiple moderators helping out others. They were actually investigating the problem and getting more info of the problem. They’ve been actively helping, listening, and updating ocsocialnetwork . It’s very fresh and new, of course there’s going to be mistakes. The community is very open and welcoming. Every time I’ve submitted a problem or a suggestion or even just a drawing, I’ve gotten the nicest replies. My only real issue is that it’s buggy, but that’s natural for such a new app. I’ve been posting and it’s made me really happy,, it’s legit scratched an itch for me. I love ocsocialnetwork!

For having just gotten here, ocsocialnetwork is amazing. I’ve been watching the beta through my friends for some time, and I decided to download test flight right after the last batch of betas were let in. Didn’t end up needing it, but I was anticipating ocsocialnetwork , greatly. Knowing how new it is, I’ll forgive any and all issues at the moment. It runs smooth enough, and they just added deleting messages which is awesome. The idea behind this in general is super fun and I’ve had nothing but a smile on my face being on ocsocialnetwork so far. Can’t wait for ocsocialnetwork to grow and get more features and a bigger community. It’s gonna be pretty awesome.

This game is genuinely so fun! I’m playing as my character and the fact that so many people are joining in and sharing info about their characters is awesome! It’s giving me more ideas for lore and art and is really building my motivation to draw more I really hope more people join and hopefully start trends on there too!

I was a Beta tester for ocsocialnetwork, and it’s TRULY amazing!!

I’ve always loved “fake” social media apps where you can roleplay as characters, but this one is great because you can interact with other members!!

There’s also NO AI in advertisement or allowed in general, a great and welcoming community, and the creators of ocsocialnetwork are very active in interacting with us; fixing bug issues and other problems very quickly!

It’s been such a blast to use ocsocialnetwork, and I’ve only been active for a couple months!

If you have ocs, whether your own original story, or if they’re from an existing fandom, I would definitely recommend ocsocialnetwork!!

ok I’m obsessed with ocsocialnetwork i literally love it but when you click on the tags thing it will say for example there’s 7 posts but when u click on it it’ll say there’s none so that’s smth that can be fixed but overall I see this becoming a rlly big app

ocsocialnetwork is so fun! I love getting to post in the perspective of my OC and interact with others from all different fandoms and “dimensions.” It makes me feel even closer to my OC and I’ve gotten to know her so much better through ocsocialnetwork. I highly recommend for anyone whether you like to roleplay or just want a place to post as your OC.

If I’m being so honest, this is what amino wishes it could be. With every new update comes optimization and more features that makes ocsn genuinely give fandomless ocs a fandom. The community has been incredibly good to me as well, alongside the devs when I encountered any issues. Keep up the great work guys :)

ocsocialnetwork is so cool and interesting, i love the idea and all the people in it, but could you add little timestamps for when a msg or comment was made? So people don’t accidentally comment on a post that was actually made a long time ago or know if it’s still relevant?

ocsocialnetwork is so much fun!!! I don’t know if we’re able to but I really want my ocs to be able to interact with each other. But besides that I haven’t had any problems. I love trying to be in character and post the stupid stuff my ocs would post.

Have you ever roleplayed on Twitter? Well, that's OCSN. It's incredibly fun to interact in-character and live out life from the eyes of your OC or favorite character. Roleplay is an amazing motivator for all kinds of art, writing, and more, and everyone on ocsocialnetwork has wonderful characters and stories. I was part of the beta test a couple weeks before release and it's been a fun ride!
