Major problems with this service, or maybe it’s just ChristianMingle , I’m not sure. I keep getting push notifications that I have a new like, or a new match, but when I check ChristianMingle , there’s nothing there. The way the service works, once someone ’likes’ someone, the profile disappears until that person has an opportunity to ‘like’ them back, so it’s not like they can ‘unlike’ that person and make that notification go away. They’re simply not there. In other cases, something that I SHOULD be getting a notification on, I’m not (yes, all notification settings are turned on). I’m also getting match suggestions for the same people I’ve turned down, time and time again, and if I live in one state, and I’ve selected a range of 200 miles, why is it giving me profiles almost 1000 miles away? For a dating site, it almost seems like it’s working against the goals it was created for lol. And I paid for this??? Lesson learned.

I had a free account for almost a month and five days into my paid subscription I’m blocked. They want your Drivers license and Passport to clear you! I’m not the only one they’ve asked this from, check Reddit . They had almost a month to catch any “inconsistencies” but didn’t block me until my trial period ends. They won’t tell you what the inconsistencies are or allow you to object so I DO NOT USE CHRISTIAN MINGLE . Seems deceptive and very sketchy to do that right away.

ChristianMingle is slow and gives old vibes. On top of the inefficiency of viewing profiles, you have to upgrade to really see anything like who likes you, who is near you, and more. I’d just suggest sticking to duet, hinge, or even tinder. Better than using an app claiming to want to better Christian relationships but trying to charge for the basics.

I can’t log in. For days I get a message “it’s not you, it’s us… try again” I paid for the premium subscription but can’t get into ChristianMingle . Don’t get push notifications. I have to keep logging into the website from a browser and manually check my messages every 5 minutes

This used to be my favorite dating app. Until they changed it. Now it’s almost useless. I liked it when they had a thumbnail image of all my matches that I could scroll through. Why do they think they needed to join the crowd and give it a left or right swipe feel? Now I don’t even find anyone that’s interesting on here anymore.

I joined Christian Mingle just a few weeks ago because of the maturity of the site. I liked that you could see the profile and send a smile. Since the upgrades it's not nearly as user friendly and even the look of the website has declined. You can't send a smile anymore now it's just swipe right or left😕 I feel this was a bait and switch.

The recent changes made an already subpar app way worse! Following all the other “swipe” dating apps was a very disappointing change that just results in a lot of wasted time for the users. Plus, having filters actually work doesn’t seem like too much to ask from an app that barely opens and constantly says it requires an update.

Do you not actually care about religious beliefs?? I’m an Anglo-Catholic woman with specific beliefs. ChristianMingle is ONLY matching me with “non-denominational” men who have the most lackluster religious values. They mainly seem to care about politics (trad wife) and NOT religion. Why is ChristianMingle ignoring my beliefs and religious requirements in a match?? Every man I’ve been matched with has NOT shared my beliefs in the True Presence, in the ordination of female clergy, in the tenets of Anglo-Catholicism. What’s the point of a faith-based app if it can’t match me with people who actually share my faith beliefs?? I’ve heard the same from other religious women who’ve tried ChristianMingle - that it just matches them with any dude it can. Clearly, they don’t care about women’s experiences NOR do they care about actual good matches for the men. Just milk the guys for cash and run!!!

ChristianMingle wouldn’t load, saying it needed an update that never came. Two days later still no option to update but I learn my account is gone. Gone. G o n e. I have lost it all. Genuinely. Truly. I need a cigarette or something man. Why me,,,, i was literally reading the bible when I went to pause and check my account. And it got deleted.

Improvements:
Add trade school and associates degree to Education. Not everyone has a bachelors and not everyone stopped at high school.
Do not recycle profiles. If I said no to someone, I’m not changing my mind because I have to swipe left for a third time.
Delete abandoned profiles. If someone hasn’t been on ChristianMingle for over a month and they aren’t paying you, why would I want to see profiles of people that aren’t going to come back to ChristianMingle ?

One of the worst dating platforms I’ve ever used. You can’t sort my location first.

I got one message from someone, paid the $50 for the month and NEVER got a reply back. Didn’t think much about it until my month ran out. I have a strong feeling they bait you into stuff like this. Then they offer to get a coach. Don’t waste your time with this. There are to many other Christian dating apps to waste searching through nothingness of people.

Paid for a subscription but the filters were still not effective. Doesn’t matter what you choose ChristianMingle shows you people who don’t fit your preferences. Today I tried logging in and was prompted to create a NEW profile! Where’s my existing profile?! Where’s my data? I don’t know but I’ve seen profiles of people I know who have told me that they haven’t been on ChristianMingle for years. Find another faith based app.

To put it simply: ChristianMingle doesn’t not work. Either via ChristianMingle itself or the website. AND A NEW SUBSCRIBER WILL NOT KNOW THIS UNTIL THEY PAY. Profiles of people who send “likes” are irretrievable. Yes, you read that correctly. You cannot connect with people! Which is why people use apps like this! Tech supports official response to me was “we know there is a problem but we don’t know when it will be fixed”. And tech support is a chat machine. If you subscribed through the Apple Store, ask for a full refund. ChristianMingle in its current state is a waste of time, energy and money.

Do not use ChristianMingle! I’m already three months into it and have gotten no new updates since I started. There are better dating sites than ChristianMingle. I repeat turn away. Do not download ChristianMingle. It is the worst app for dating! I paid six months to be a part of this dating app. I have nothing but regret after signing up. It appears that in my area there are no members who have paid for ChristianMingle so they’re sending me to outside of the state that is beyond the distance I put in for preference. I continue to get the same recommendations daily. It says it will update but never does. Now I’m waiting out my six months before I delete ChristianMingle.

Needs better features and functions. You get a list of people that you can’t dismiss or sort. When the list refreshes it just tacks on more people to the list with no way to select those you are not interested in. Also does not filter by location or allow you to narrow down location. Matches are showing up across the country.

It’s not worth paying for

ChristianMingle presented my sister to me as a match. She probably created the account 20 years ago. She doesn’t even remember doing it. I wonder how many other matches I’m shown of women who have not logged in to the site in many years.

This makes me wonder about the effectiveness and integrity of their whole matching system. I prefer sites that will let me search instead of them showing ladies that are supposedly right for me.

I’ve never been on a dating up but I think it’s crazy to have to pay to see who liked or matched your profile, you can’t even talk to anyone on it..

Already have the renewal canceled. I don’t need to connect with someone on another continent. Limited database, will be surprised to have a conversation. Customer service recommends keeping people on your watch list and talking to people, why would I waste their time or mine when they are not a reasonable distance from me. Maybe it used to be good, but I’m not impressed.

If I have to drive 1,000 miles to meet someone, that is not a good match. That’s the number one failure of Christian Mingle, you cannot prevent ChristianMingle from showing you people that live unrealistically far away.
