App sent me notice that there was thunder storms coming and app’s radar showed it. However, after checking two apps showing radar from local NWS radar site (3 miles from where I live) which showed no storms anywhere within range of the site, I decided WeatherAlerts was quite worthless in its present version and I deleted it. The apps author did provide a lifetime version for free, however it still isn’t reliable enough to depend on for warnings.

Several times I am getting alerts for thunderstorms in my area and there’s not a cloud in the sky or precipitation showing on the apps radar. You’ve got one job!

I have 50 weather apps on my iPhone. This is by far the least accurate! Temps are off by 7-10 degrees in the high side.

Thunderstorm warning daily. Never any listed in any other forecast. There has yet to be a storm with this warning

WeatherAlerts stopped working and now it doesn’t even open. Nothing. There’s no update pending, but still nothing.
Checked with Down.com and they don’t carry WeatherAlerts on their list, so nothing.
I suppose that (again), there’s something wrong today and I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt until tomorrow. If it doesn’t open, bye bye, because this is not the first time that this happens.

This weather app hangs its hat on timely warnings about storms and other weather events. While its current conditions are accurate, its warnings are consistently bogus in my experience so far. A few times a week it pops up a message that thunderstorms are about to start, however the sky is clear and radar shows no storms within 150 miles of my location. Developer needs to work on that. A lot.

I think this is the first negative review I’ve ever left, but WeatherAlerts is useless to me. It is continually telling me, “Warning! Thunderstorm is expecting soon!” when there is literally 0% chance of precipitation in my area. I did get the free lifetime version through App Advice and appreciated that opportunity. However, I will be deleting WeatherAlerts as it is not accurate.

I downloaded WeatherAlerts as advertised through AppAdvice for the unlimited free lifetime version. Since installation, I’ve had multiple issues. SkyRadar features an in-app screen to contact the developer for help but is limited to 250 characters; this couldn’t work for me.
Therefore, I used the Apple Store “Contact The Developer” to report my issues and was re-directed to what appears to be the developer’s website advertising SkyRadar and to download it - at the bottom of the page is a Contact Option which I used.
I have now tried four times to contact WeatherAlerts developer with no response.
Upon installation, WeatherAlerts plainly didn’t work either on my iPhone or iPad. Nothing.
It didn’t send the twice daily “push notifications “ forecasts as described in WeatherAlerts . Within WeatherAlerts , there is the ability to set a user selectable delivery schedule for push notification of the forecast for the day and the following day by selecting the time but it constantly rolls back to the defaults of 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
There are supposed to be animations under the icons Today and Radar - completely not working on my IPHONE and IPAD. You see a half-circle swirling around without loading.
Suddenly and for unknown reasons WeatherAlerts started partially working four days later. Still no current forecasts. Still no ability to schedule the push notifications- daily and next day forecasts.
As noted, I’ve contacted the developer multiple times without any success for assistance.
My OS is up to date and diagnostics have been performed showing no issues with my devices.
Whether for free or otherwise, it’s my feeling WeatherAlerts developer should assume responsibility and ownership for any issues for an app they develop.
There are too many other weather apps in the Apple Store! I’m most happy with the native weather app built into the Apple IOS.
I would like the daily push notifications for weather forecasts to function as described.
At this point, I can only rate SkyRadar two stars for features.
If WeatherAlerts developer should reply and resolve my concerns so they function as described, then I would be happy to amend my evaluation of WeatherAlerts.
Until then, I would avoid WeatherAlerts and seek an alternative.
