This app initially seemed great. I have my V1 installed on my Honda VFR800, and have a SENA SMH10 headset in my helmet. I of course can’t hear the V1’s little speaker, so I bought the V1 Connection LE. The app paired up with the little Bluetooth dongle and seemed to display properly, and played over my SENA. So I put my iPhone in my pocket and went for a ride. Not a murmur from the app. So I checked my phone and when I unlocked it, the app went through reconnecting to the dongle. So I tested some more and realized that THE APP DOESN’T RUN IN THE BACKGROUND!!!
What sort of nonsense is this? As soon as your iPhone locks or you even switch to another app, this app shuts down, effectively making it completely worthless for monitoring.
I’m now going to try out the V1 Driver app instead. It’s not free, but at this point, if I don’t find something that works, my $60 V1 Connection dongle is worthless.

It’s an app without purpose… you have a V1, so why do you need to see it on your phone? It works horribly when using CarPlay. If there’s a radar signal it routes the audio back to your phone! But the V1 is already making noise. It’s just pointless. If it had any gps based tracking of common threats or nuisance alarms… or anything useful beyond updating the V1 firmware/software… maybe it would be worth using.

Tech Display should have been a Bluetooth connectivity based device with USBC power. Nobody wants cables running around everywhere and certainly NOT to a cigarette adapter to get the ACC power and communication necessary for this to work! The two other community developed remote displays for the G2 are Bluetooth connectivity driven. This is useless in my opinion for users who want a cleaner connectivity option. It’s 2025, NOT 1994!!!!!!!!!!!
