Cat Translator Reviews

Downloaded this to try for the free week trial until 10/15, seemed like a crappy soundboard of random cat sounds so I ended the trial 10/12 (didn’t even open app again). I was charged on 10/12 for one week of CatTranslator’s service. Such a scam, that would’ve happened on the 15th if I even kept it…Apple has a process for reporting scam apps, whelp now I know

CatTranslator is a scam and don't think that you're going to be able to download CatTranslator and check it out because before you can find out it's a scam and get a refund. They will deny your refund and it is 100% scam. I knew it was but wanted to test it for myself, just curiosity killed the cat curiosity cost me $8.99

I never write app reviews but I had to for this. I tried several variations of trying to tell my sweet angel of a kitty that he is loved and perfect and it literally just made hissing noises at him. Thank goodness he’s so relaxed and this is fake because he just looked at me and played his head back down to sleep. Then I just recorded nothing on his side, just dead air. The translation was “I am going to end you”. What in the actual…? I knew this wasn’t going to be real but I had no idea it was going to be mean. Worst app ever.

I was using CatTranslator and I wanted to have the cat come to me but guess what! He came to me and he was puffed up and hissing at me and I said hi to him and he started attacking me

I don’t really recommend CatTranslator because your cat might become distressed or scared and might not like you anymore.

I got the subscription just to try CatTranslator out and after canceling my subscription and then deleting CatTranslator , they are still charging me weekly. I’ve contacted Apple support. I don’t understand how they’re able to do that or allowed to CatTranslator itself. Also is a joke. They repeat the same thing when a cat talks it’s a silly app, but do not pay for it.

CatTranslator has falsely misguided people into downloading CatTranslator into making us think there’s real science behind using CatTranslator to communicate with our cats. If there’s no explanation in how this actually communicates with our cats then why should we use it in the first place. Anyone can build an app we want/need believing it’ll really work but instead it’s making money for those who build it.

This thing is trash because when I tried it, I tried to tell my cat that I loved you and the first time it sounded fine, but then the other five times it hissed and then made another noise for like the same exact meaning I don’t know how that works, but that’s kind of stupid developers. You need to change that. I think this was kind of a waste of time to even download.

My cat was so happy and when I said I love you the ai put it in hissing sounds and I tried it on no noise and it said stop and then n my cat mowed and it said “ I will get revenge on you “ but by my cats body language she was very happy and plus there is only one 5 star review I’m am so not happy about this and that is why you should have a 1 star rating , review and respect

I had CatTranslator for like a day and then I started communicating to my cats and I would say the same thing over and over again, but then it would have different responses. I know cat language more than this and all it would say is hello pet me or hello humanI like or I will say meow hello human or meow pet me so I know that you are just trying to get us to pay premium for nothing

If you sort by most favorable reviews, you’ll see that there’s literally one five star review and the rest are negative. Despite that, CatTranslator somehow has a 4.6 star rating. It’s pretty obvious to me that the majority of these positive reviews are most likely paid for, so I recommend that you report CatTranslator to Apple. and in case you’re wondering, CatTranslator doesn’t work at all whatsoever, and CatTranslator developers almost certainly know this, which is why they try to trick you into buying an absurdly priced weekly subscription before you even use CatTranslator once.

As soon as you download and open CatTranslator it ask you for a review, then you can’t even use it without having to signup for a 3 day trial then get charged $6.99. No explanation on how it works but wasn’t a review and money before you can even test it out.

I hate apps that ask you to give us a four star review when you don't even play with CatTranslator you shouldn't ask a question right when someone install the stupid app. Shame on.

I got a cat recently and it was meowing a lot so I got CatTranslator to see if I could understand what it needed but it didn’t work it just kept saying meow pet me and nothing else but the cat did in joy the games so it wasn’t all bad

As a pet parent, I’ve learned about cat communication and can communicate better on my own with my cats through research on cat behavior, body language, and vocalization’s in the past 18 years… and I was hoping CatTranslator would seem to prove at least partially decent with this AI… but it did not so far. I’m not even sure that this AI would know the difference between a stress purr and a happy purr, or even the difference between chittering to mimic prey and a greeting to a person. I even tried using good voice inflection and tone, but to no avail. The AI is not very well trained yet, it would seem.

I understand it’s hard to be aware of the situation and body language that help decipher what cats are trying to say, but perhaps also offer some educational info on how cats completely communicate with a mix of vocals and body language and situation (to help someone understand why, for example, a purr can mean several different things)… so that even if AI fails, pet parents can still learn how to communicate better.

Try to talk to my cat, and it works perfectly, but then when I try to let the cats speak to me all it says is or hello and what can I do for you? But overall great app keep doing your best to make CatTranslator better

Ok so I asked my cat if he loved me and it just sounded like a mean cat and then I said said do you love me again and it made a completely different sound also my cat only says pet me

So I used CatTranslator when I got home and the original happened. walked to the kitchen and he start meowing. And my cat is pretty old so we give him special food from pet smart and I used the translator on him and it said “master I want cuddles” and I did it then he meowed again used it and said “my favorite toy”

I’m sorry but no my cat was mad it it said hello pet me! When he was mad bc I was washing him plus I just don’t like have it repeats the same words again and again like I’m sry if it actually did do the cat correctly I would do five star but have a 3 any ways have a great day every day and even tho I don’t know you but bye butterflie🦋🦋🦋🦋❤️❤️❤️love CatTranslator btw but sry❤️!

This translator opens new horizons in my understanding pet now I feel like we can really communicate CatTranslator is purrfect😻

I love this game and I can talk to my cat every single day now🤘
