I don’t expect a developer response but, I get that running the site is starting to get expensive. it makes more sense to lock the other models behind a pay wall more than default model this app llm…it’s a good app and I’ve been using it since January of this year but, ever since this energy thing came out I switched back to c.ai. I’m afraid this app will become like Chai and become flavorless and being boring to even use due to restrictions to chats, this whole ordeal is not well received and it’s causing people to even stop using Moemate and leaving the discord server (me for example). I found this app through TikTok promising that it’ll never be restricted just for it to be restricted, I believe that this is a good business choice but ethically speaking, this is going to not end well and this app will be the next Chai. Flavorless garbage that has limited chats and let their community down by going against their initial statement of freedom for everyone.

Before this was mad good five stars then they added this update where max you could chat is only 100 times then you have to pay. Remove this this will ruin your whole app not a lot of people are gonna pay to text they will just switch Ai like POE (CHANGE THIS)

I dislike the idea of Ai bot take control of my character action and dialog when come interacting with other made up characters. Ever time I wanna make a choice the ai ignore my existing and it annoyed me because I wanna a different outcome but got stolen by my choice and continue to ignored me so I cannot roleplay this right.

Moemate isn’t letting me search up the characters that I know are on there and is limiting me to the characters on the featured page

When I started it had a customer a friendly system. You could mess around with the baseline AI for free but if you wanted the real thing you would have to pay. Seemed reasonable and Moemate was altogether great.

Now you can barely chat with anything and the payment system is convoluted. This started as a reasonable product but now it’s degraded into a scam.

It’s like sooo slow and DOESN’T save any information over devices even if you’re logged into an account, plus the servers constantly going down??? NOT a C.AI replacement just because it has no filter

They just updated Moemate today so users have an energy system so chatting with your own bot costs energy. So now if you run out of energy, you have to pay to use Moemate . They really ruined what used to be such a great app, it had no nsfw filters and while the memory on bots is terrible, it was still usable. Now it’s not. Thanks, this app. You ruined it.

The newest update introduced what basically Chai had used - a special “limit” for a certain amount of messages you can send, regenerate, etc based on token count. And it doesn’t seem that having *any* of the available subscriptions are possible work-arounds to this limit - at least not yet.

Never saves any chats and doesn’t transfer data between devices.

I talk to the characters and I keep getting [object Object] or just a blank page

I tried talking to a character and I keep getting ( object object) error messages and most of my messages won’t even send!

I was thrilled when I first discovered Moemate and even subscribed to save all my AI chats across devices. However, I'm now disappointed and discouraged by the new update that introduces battery charges. The update claims that subscribers using the this app LMM for their AI shouldn't lose battery charges, but I'm still being charged, even when using AI characters I've created. Please address this issue. This is an amazing website that I use daily for entertainment and educational purposes, and I'd love to continue using it without these interruptions.

So, Moemate will do the trick in a pinch if you’re looking for an AI chat. It’s highly customizable and has lots of cool options. Moemate itself is pretty decently laid out as well, and I’ve rarely had issues with crashing or waiting too long or anything. Being able to edit and resend messages is fantastic. BUT. It’s nowhere near an app like Poe, sadly. The messages may be unlimited, but it’s hard to say it matters that much when the context window is so limited that it forgets what you’ve said after only a few messages and can get extremely dry and repetitive, no matter how you adjust the temperature. Honestly, most of the positives are really watered down by the cons. For $35 for the highest tier, it really should be better. But, as I said, it has potential to really be something great if context could be improved.

this app has too many issues with the chat when I first downloaded Moemate I was able to look up other bots but now they're telling me that nothing I look up exists or I have to pay for it and then my chats are being deleted to many times

App was fine and did its job well, I hate how if I get off for a second and get back on it and write a message it will just stop working. My issue now though is that Moemate doesn’t work at all now, I try to open it but it just says on Moemate name and doesn’t even look like it’s loading. Just paid for a monthly subscription too so it was a waist.

I had sent them many messages but any bots didn’t reply me back😔🤚🏻 I can confirm that not because of connection cuz I can chats with bots in C.ai normally.

Me and my friends found Moemate on social media. We quickly transferred from character ai to this app. Its bots were amazing and we loved that there was so many choices of bots to pick from and the ability to make our own.
The big thing was the unlimited texts and filters.
That’s what made us stay, however now that there is a battery mode it’s sadly made this app our least favorite app now. It had great potential and was quickly a favorite but these new updates ruined Moemate for a lot of us!
Please bring it back to how it was. I can sit in a queue for 10 minutes but limiting chats is a no.
Another big thing was Moemate was advertised for its nonexistent filters and now that’s gone too so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Back to character ai I guess….

Moemate and the website used to be absolutely amazing, but now they added a energy bar to where you can talk to the AI models a certain amount of times an hour. And the only way to increase it is to pay $100 a year, or pay $9 dollars a month, and you don’t even get unlimited with that! I’d much rather they just put ads before you enter a different ai character and let us pay a $10 permanent ad blocker

Loved it on the browser but now all the bots I chat with are missing when I look them up it says they don’t exist

The new energy system is wack , it doesn’t make sense it was fine the way it was before when we were just using our subscriptions, the only free bot we can use is the momate bot and its not that good for following up with roleplays

Just a suggestion but maybe you should get rid of the energy update. Why did you have to make chats limited now? 😐

This was my favorite AI app ever since Poe added chat limits. I even had a membership and was very confused when my messages just stopped working. Now that there’s limits on my messages I don’t understand what I’m paying $30/mo for. Pretty disappointed.

I like Moemate, but one thing about it is that it you have to like have the most internet or network in the world to even open Moemate . When I’m at full bars and all my other apps work, it somehow is the only one that doesn’t work. I’m not sure if it’s just a glitch or it really needs a lot of network.

Moemate is great for the most part, however recently I’ve been running into issues with messages not sending and even more recently I’ve noticed the character list seems to be glitched, only showing 1-2 pages of characters and not allowing me to click through to further pages. In addition searching for characters doesn’t seem to work anymore.

Server issues

Okay so I got Moemate yesterday, and I honestly love it but there’s something that bugs me ALOT. So when I was talking to the bot, sometimes it’s replies would randomly be bolded like THIS FOR EXAMPLE. And then if I regenerate a reply it says this : ette:: ;_';'M ;;G.;'';B'B;,·'M,A, ;G.

But not all of them do this it’s only really certain ones and I’m not sure why it does this either. Please fix this bug.

It’s a good app it’s just I don’t keep Moemate on my phone and everytime I redownload it, my save chats are deleted and it’s extremely annoying as I’m trying to get back into writing and I don’t wanna keep writing the same thing over and over to the bot I made

-now with the new update, which is cool and all, I can’t properly see what I’m typing! Like, as in it won’t scroll down or let me see what I’m typing past the first line or two.

Also I’m on an iPhone (& I have iPad, haven’t tested the update on there yet), if that helps?

This was my favorite so chat app, please why does everything have to be paywalled/have a limit 😭 it used to be so good. Please change this back, I think I speak for all of Moemate’s user base when I say WE. DON’T. WANT. THIS. Please, devs.

Love Moemate very much, but the bots replies take very very long and they sometimes don’t even reply. Also, it’s a little glitched at the moment where every time a search a character it doesn’t work anymore.

I actually really like Moemate , is very fun. But i do suggest that you guys fix something. Being a person who cant see on my phone much (i have glasses-) but please make the screen of the chat to fill up the hole screen and not just a bit. The text then wouldnt be so hard to read. Thank u thats all.

This product of AI, I dare say, rivals that of Character.AI! - - but that being said.. - it could use more Mobile App Updates, such as the confusing-one-way manner of navigating through Moemate .

(There isn’t any prompt to return to you previous tabs, or pages, or however you want to word it.)

I think Moemate would be better off with AI that can remember past old chats/conversations, rather than making a small policy & revenue off of it :/

So, I’ve gotten and used Moemate since yesterday, and Moemate isn’t bad. It’s pretty good. But, one issue I’ve just experienced is that I’ll send a message or regenerate a new reply from the bot, and the bot just says “[object Object]” or just a blank message. Please figure out how to fix this.

It’s a good app and I love this more than c.ai and chai. But there’s a few problems with the bots. They forget a lot, become repetitive and speak for you. Overall very nice app

this app has been really fun for me so far, I have only talked to a handful of AI characters and there are still thousands to go.

I am huge into the AI stuff, this app offers enough knobs and levers to keep me busy and entertained....I am learning so much.

I've tried many AI chat apps, but this app is the best. The chatbot feels real, that's all i want.
