The pre release country gets extra reward for the play test and the least they can do for global players who just started playing is give us 62 or more or what ever how long the test was which was like a month of packs to global new accounts to be fair. So now you got people who are ahead in collecting etc… They should also ban the people who used vpn to spoof to the country of test and ban them like you do in Pokémon go. The test was not for them, it was for the country they wanted to test it in. A lot of YouTubers did the spoofing and said they flew there when the room they are in are the same and they using sarcasm. Thanks for reading and give us at least the packs the pre release test players got playing for the month and make sure not to mess up and give it to the pre testers. Thx

I really want to give this a better rating. I’ve watched content creators play this game for the past month, and even had PokémonTCGPocket Store notifications set up to download once it released. The card collecting looks fun, and the gameplay itself looks great-easy to learn, hard to master. But now that it has released, I can’t even open PokémonTCGPocket on my phone. I have cleared app caches, restarted my phone, and removed/reinstalled PokémonTCGPocket , but nothing seems to work. I click PokémonTCGPocket icon, and get 2-5 seconds of a grey screen, just for PokémonTCGPocket to auto close. Don’t know what else to try. If this was intended to be played on a larger/more advanced device, that should have been communicated. After scouring reddit, discord, and the broader internet, I can say I am not the only one experiencing this issue. Again-I want to give this a better review. I feel the game, for what it is, deserves it. But until this issue is resolved, I can’t.

Immediately upon the initial tutorial, the illusion of a fun game disappears to reveal that it's just another freemium game that forces you to spend money if you want to do anything. If you just want to play for free, the first 24 hours is pretty much wasted since you're not able to get anything until you reach level 3, which is impossible to do until day 2 at the very least without having to pay for ingame currency, as even the items you receive to open another pack are so scarcely given out that you HAVE to buy to get anything. Incredibly disappointing, and I imagine plenty of people have been instantly turned away from how predatory of a practice this is.

I viscerally do not like the battle system. I get you want to make it quick and easy so more people can get into TCG, but for those of us who already play, couldn’t you have made a mode that uses the actual rules?????? I also miss the rotating premade decks that TCGPlayer would just give to you for logging in. That was sixty free new, battle-ready cards every season. It’s also not the easiest thing in the world to get the super-neat card animations that were advertised with this game. This just feels like an app made strictly for ten-year-olds. Which is fine. That’s a Pokemon audience. But for TCG? Most of your customers are adults with money and an urge to collect. The only good things about PokémonTCGPocket are 1) you can open a pack a day for free and 2) you can get a random card from someone else’s last pull. Otherwise, I’d rather just go back to the last app. Also, why can’t I move packs over from TCGPlayer and my Pokemon Trainer ID? It doesn’t have to be the exact cards, but apps like this have always had some kind of transfer ability so you don’t lose total progress. I’m hoping they’ll actually improve upon all of this soon, seeing how the Pokemon Company’s been trying a smidge to incorporate user reviews recently. But honestly, for something as low radar as the TCG, I must admit I’m not expecting much.

1 star off for the micro transactions . Plus the timers and how long they are .

Pokemon Tcg Live is the only other pokemon licensed card game . The battle system here pales in comparison to Tcg live. I’d like some consistency in this tcg for this to be a legit card game . My idea to make battling better is have 6 points instead of 3 , which keeps with the consistency a bit of the prize card mechanism in tcg live .
The poke ball item card picks a random card for me I can’t pick my own card , let me pick my own card, please play the only other licensed pokemon card game and live up to its standards for this to work ,I don’t know how Pokemon works anymore after this game . I can’t even get a charizard down and full power without losing three points .
The community part of this is awesome and being able to open packs with time .
The less bench pokemon is fine .
But I wish tcg live and this were combined ,
The battle aspect of tcg live and the community aspects of this / letting us open packs with time .
20 card limit is not good and handing us energy is also not good make trainer cards useless .

The core game seems to be good, but the number of unnecessary animations gets tedious. I’m finding myself needing to press the skip animation button more than a tapping game…

Menus take a long time to load, then they have the animation of putting the pack in front of you, the animation of each card reveal, the animation of all 5 cards shown, the animation of putting the cards in your collection.

I’m excited we finally get a TCG game, with pack opening simulator, but it’s too much excess for any long term play. If you remove the animations, or at least have an option to remove them, it’d be a 4.5 star game. If they fix loading lag for literally all of the interfaces, 5 stars. Until then, It’s getting 3.

Game is the biggest pay to win game I’ve ever seen and there’s no skill based matchmaking. I’m level 5 going against people lvl 25 and the people who’ve paid are pulling mewtwo out first round and summoning a support card to swap out my hand. It’s ridiculous. Then ok the coin flip it will say you go first and when you play your turn you get no energy but the second player gets energy their first move, it’s backwards. Whoever starts second always has the advantage. Oh yeah and when you get gifts sent don’t claim all because it will say there’s nothing to claim and you basically miss out on the gifts as they don’t go to your inventory and the message is vaulted saying you “claimed” it already.

Designed to maximize Nintendo’s wallet by offering several types of currency that are only good for one thing in game but are all available to purchase with premium currency that you can spend money on. Definitely has pay 2 win by purchasing packs and premium season pass which let’s you open more packs! What did we all expect from Nintendo’s mobile division? Exploitative gacha mechanics are at the heart of Pokémon but having them be the digital equivalent to an NFT is a new low. My kids are already begging me to allow them to buy in game items. Congrats on the billions of kids dollars you’ll rake with this Nintendo!

This game is amazing. It is so addicting and it’s a great way to alleviate the urge to go out and buy IRL packs. However, I do have some issues with the game. The lack of a “ladder” or ranked system is felt. Other games like, Hearthstone, allow you to collect cards and climb the ladder to achieve amazing awards. Hopefully this will be fixed in later installments of the game. The game does a decent job at offering free to play rewards but the rewards should be expanded more. Some of the rewards should be grander as well (i.e. if you complete xy then you get a free pack, etc.) Additionally, there are some bugs with the game reducing frame rate when opening packs.

Other than that, great game.

The game has a lot of potential of the fun of collecting cards, trading, and battling with Pokemon. I think my biggest complaint is currently the lack of any animation or sound effect when pulling a rare card. This is a missed opportunity to let the player know they pulled something exciting or rare, making the pack opening (the main compelling feature of PokémonTCGPocket) even more exciting. Look at other games in the similar space such as Hearthstone, and how the pack opening process is exciting because of animations and sound queues correlating to the varying rarities of the cards. When I opened a golden Charizard full art card, I thought it was pretty cool but it did not have as huge of an impact on me as it probably should have, as it is one of the rarest cards currently available. I did not realize this until I started looking at the odds of the Pokemon cards, and I feel like with the correct animation and sound queues I could have known how rare that card is based on that reaction alone.

I love this game!. I hope the developers keep upgrading the game because it’s a great game!. I love how you collect Pokemon cards to grow stronger!. I am waiting for the card trading system to come out!. Hope the card trading system works out well for all players!. Developers please keep updating the game… I will do my best to support the game and the team of developers by purchasing items and gold from the store… went I get more money on my account!. Love this game so far… five Stars to this Pokemon card game!. Thank you for creating this game developers of this Pokemon game!. This game is already very fun and quite simple to pick up. From my personal gameplay I don’t see any issues so far. It’s a straight forward card collecting game that features your favorite Pokémon. The pack opening process has reasonable timers and it’s something fun to look forward to while I go about my day.

When you pull certain EX’s and Full-Art cards there are very cool graphics that take you into the details of that card behind what is usually seen. Very cool touch!

Hoping the trade feature comes soon!

PokémonTCGPocket is everything every TCG should be. It’s awesome how you get the satisfaction of opening new packs and getting luck every once in a while with an amazing pull. But I don’t have to spend a bunch of money haha. The UI is very well done. The concept of being given a chance to get a good card that someone else was lucky enough to pull is a really cool concept. And I didn’t even know they had battling with your cards which is great. I think I’ll be using PokémonTCGPocket for quite some time trying to “catch them all”.

Thoroughly addicted to spending my money already. The effects, music, sounds, etc., all make my brain tingle in the right ways and good or bad, it’s been very good.

When they first announced TCGP, they didn’t specify if you’d be able to buy more backs beyond their 2 daily pack limit. Well, you definitely can open more packs if you open the wallet up. It’s a mobile game and a card game, so it’s expected and I really don’t mind it at all.

Battling with others is seamless and I expect trading to be just as great.

Very excited for this game and looking forward to the trading feature!!🥳 One thought, if trading is to become a feature down the road, I think anything with rarity 1-star and higher should not be craftable. Part of the fun of getting “rare” cards is showing it off to your friends, but if any card can be crafted it becomes less exciting. It makes you think more about trading away special cards vs just “oh, I’ll just craft another one eventually”.

I see the notification for PokémonTCGPocket drop. I stop what I’m doing. Download game. Simple clear instructions. Start opening packs. Second pack I open an EX Mewtwo with the most gorgeous art I’ve ever seen. A couple minutes later I open a Charizard pack with two Moltres and a an EX Charizard with insane art. I’ve fallen in love and I’m getting addicted. An absolute must play for those fans of the Pokémon series. I’ve always wanted to collect Pokémon and now I can at the palm of my hand. I'm so excited to finally see more gambling options for children. It's good to know that society is finally deciding that we weren't taking enough advantage of children, and that we should introduce gambling to them in a friendly exciting way. My only hope is that other companies will catch and introduce their own version of gambling for children. Let's start pumping out more ads, loot boxes, and p2w to keep society desparate for lord knows what.

I have always loved Pokémon TCG & now that I am older I can play it on the go during my very busy & sometimes hectic days. I am loving it so far. First impressions of it are great. I am not big in micro transactions but it hasn’t felt like I *need* to just yet. I can see myself paying for the monthly premium pass at some point though if I continue to enjoy it. I do however get scared that something this great would get taken away from us for no reason with no one giving fans closure. I say that because I played a lot of Pokémon Duel & that got cancelled with no communication on why which imo was the worst thing because it was such a fun mobile Pokémon game. Let’s keep this one alive & well for years to come!

I love the mechanics of it and it’s a great game over all. I feel like something that would really draw people in is if you could scan a real Pokémon card and it would be added into your index in the game. For example I have a legendary Pokémon, I can scan the card using my camera and it gets added to the index in PokémonTCGPocket . Maybe even a small reward depending on what the card is after scanning it.

That is the key feature. When u move the phone the card should move. I dont wanna use my fingers. I wanna hold my phone how i would hold a real card and by shifting my hand the pokemon card moves.

Utilize Core Motion: Implement the Core Motion framework to track the device's orientation. Use CMMotionManagerto get basic accelerometer data.

Basic 3D Transformation: Apply a simple transformation to the 3D card based on the device's pitch and roll. Map the tilt values directly to the card's rotation in 3D space.

Smooth Movement: Use linear interpolation for the card's position and rotation to ensure the movement appears fluid and responsive.

SceneKit Integration: If you’re already using SceneKit, leverage its built-in capabilities to render the 3D card and apply transformations easily.
