ugh

forces you to add a picture of yourself along with entering your city before you can even access ANYTHING, sends messages to people on your behalf (with no way to reject or skip these features btw) and there's no dark mode! there's also a pretty limited amount musicians you can find on here, so if your favorite artists are outside of mainstream pop it's likely you might not find them. and you have to pay to see who viewed your profile. 👎

Erm could be better.

I’ve had EQUALS for like 2 hours maybe…it’s wack . I got it in hopes of meeting new people who shared the same music taste but you literally have to pay for almost everything. I don’t like that you can’t really communicate to other people even tho it’s the whole purpose of EQUALS …. It also doesn’t let you see who viewed your profile or who is requesting you…I think if EQUALS had something like a jem system or being able to watch adds to see who viewed ur profile or who is requesting you it would be a lot better.

Don’t get it

This has to be one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. I tried to change my picture and it wouldn’t let me because it’s saying I’m not old enough, but the age I put in is my age. It has like a weird picture verification thing that doesn’t even work. And then when I tried to go back in EQUALS , it was it wouldn’t let me open EQUALS please don’t get it.

update??

i JUST downloaded this and tried to create an account with google. as soon as i went past the google login screen, EQUALS prompted me to update. so i did. when the update was finished i opened EQUALS , and low and behold, what do i see? - “update required to continue” - MIND YOU, there is no update to be had. yes, i deleted and reinstalled it and its still doing the exact same thing. help. fix your app please. help help help help

Not my cup of tea

Why do I have to pay to breathe on EQUALS? You can’t even see who messages you or views your profile without paying. Like the first 30 seconds on EQUALS I was ready to see who liked the same music but I can’t… maybe like, allow people to message for free and get a chance to actually talk to someone. Just a suggestion🤷🏽‍♀️

Very stale??

I like the concept of having a group chat with other fans, I like the fact that you can support your favorite artists, but it’s so plain and stale?? I LOVE the style of EQUALS , but it needs to add more artists, more songs, and more accessibility. This has potential! But I thought this was a full on finished app when I downloaded it. Needs some work, and definitely needs a dark mode.

Great in theory, bad in practice

Joined hoping to find people who also love the same artists as me. EQUALS does not let you follow artists outside of the most popular ones worldwide (Taylor Swift, Kanye, etc) which is really annoying as someone who likes Will Wood and Tally Hall. Most people who messaged me only wanted to connect because they wanted to hook up :( I just wanted to talk about music. Also this entire app is like 90% advertisements and it forces you into conversations without asking you first. Homepage layout is confusing, too. If you scroll past someone, IT ADDS THEM, it doesn’t skip them. I scrolled past like 20 people before I realized I was actually adding them as friends instead of skipping. Annoying

a lot of potential!

i really think this is a great idea, and was really excited to try it. but how come i have to pay to see the messages people send me? am i missing something or is it really like this? It just seems silly to have to pay to do something so simple. otherwise, i think it’s great.

They’ve completed ruined the purpose of the app

this app had a lot of potential, until they ruined it with the new updates. I was using it frequently, I’d even made a good friend. And then it forced you to show a picture of your face (I’ve never been comfortable showing my face online), would message people you didn’t know for you, which also meant if you got a message you didn’t know if they actually wanted to talk or if their app had randomly messaged you. And now you have to pay to even see most people’s messages so it’s impossible to actually make friends anymore. Very disappointed

It could be better

U have to pay for almost everything and that includes texting others and seeing who messaged you I feel it could be better if we’re at least given 3 chances to be able to unlock chat requests or something so we actually talk to others and make friends but I personally find it useless unless u got that kind of money to spend u can spend on it every week or month

Consider this

I love EQUALS and think it’s a great concept with tons of potential. The downside is that too much is locked behind Pro, and even requests don’t always go through consistently. It’s still usable, but free users miss out on the basics. If a few core features were more accessible, this would easily be a 5-star app. Right now, I give it 3/5 stars.

👍

From what I can tell there’s not many people on EQUALS , so i understand that theres probably still some updates that need to be made. I’m having a hard time navigating EQUALS , such as the Vinyl wall, I’m unsure (even after looking at the directions) how the vinyls are added to my wall.
The navigation videos also claim that there’s some sort of “for you” page that I’m not sure how to find.

I see potential for growth in EQUALS, but there definitely needs to be simpler navigation throughout EQUALS as well as more people interacting on EQUALS for a better experience.

Age verification

EQUALS seem pretty decent and I would want to use to to make friends but it’s not letting me verify my age with facial ai recognition or whatever it is not letting me do it. I’m truthful of my age. I made a new account just to see if it’s a bug or not and the same thing happened. I would like some help at least with my account

It has potential

EQUALS has great potential but you have to pay to do 90% of the stuff on there plus EQUALS would reel in more people if you gave a free trial of at least 4 days so we can get to test out the pro features before we spend our hard earned money on it.

Great app, but want more in the future.

I downloaded this with pretty low expectations quite honestly. I will say that EQUALS surpassed my expectations. The idea is really cool and EQUALS looks awesome.

I will say, I listen to very experimental and obscure music. Most of the stuff I like isn’t on EQUALS yet, but I’m not upset as EQUALS is new and the dev team seems like they’re working on it right now.

its good but..

so I downloaded EQUALS hoping to make some new friends and find new songs to listen too and i did at first but, as I got more and more situated in EQUALS I found that you had to pay to see who even added or messaged you and this really bummed me out its a good app with a good concept but I really wish they would let you see who added you it would make getting new friend easier

Doesn’t work good

So I did the age verification and it said it didn’t work to contact the support to help use the verification but there system doesn’t even work I sent hella emails and got nothing back EQUALS is not really good might just get rid of it

Age verification scam

I tried doing the age verification and it didn’t work. I think it uses AI and I don’t trust AI so I didn’t think it would work anyway but on top of that, it just like keeps saying i’m not my age and i’m literally telling the truth. I’ve been told that i look younger get before but I think that I look my age so it was really weird seeing it not working. I already emailed support about it but honestly this turned me off so i don’t think I’ll continue using EQUALS.

Great app but

It’s a really good concept but it needs verification for your pics which I understand but whenever I try to verify with a pic I just took it won’t work, idk what I’m doing wrong😭🫩

i cant even get past the sign in.

it says to pick an icebreaker with AI, but it wont let me past it?? tried everything ..
