I play in a band if four women all 60 and over. We’ve used GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics
For almost two years. we play about 3-4 gigs a year, mostly benefits. without warning. It updated me automatically. fortunately, I told my band mates to not upgrade their app. I think it is rotten of them. If it were a one-time purchase, I’d buy it. now I’m looking for a different app.

GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics worked great for about 3 years . I have GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics on my large iPad Pro and a secondary iPad I use for backup.
All of a sudden on my large iPad Pro, it will not allow me to make set list .Non of the functions work anymore.. You can add songs , but who has time to go in alphabetical order during a show. I have written 3 emails asking what us going on . I paid for Gig Hard Pro so I could create set list quickly and switch songs from Orth er set list quickly.. I’ve got nothing .. It still works on the smaller iPad, but my vision is bad and I need it on my larger , bigger iPad Pro.. No one gas written me back and I have a show coming up.. I deleted GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics and downloaded again , nothing happened 😳

I bought the pro upgrade for $40 months ago, and right as I was sound checking for a gig, it forced me to upgrade to their new yearly subscription plan after their recent app update, otherwise I was not going to be able to access my set lists that I had done earlier today. I did not have time to think because my gig was starting, so I bought the plan, but I’ve already bought the permanent upgrade before and have agreed to previous terms. Why am I not grandfathered in, and why was there no prompt or warning that this was going to happen? I do not write reviews, but I am so angry and genuinely may try to escalate this.

One of the first things is importing lyrics, using dropbox you have to import one song at a time and then confirm, I have hundreds of songs, cant see why it won't import your whole dropbox full of lyrics. Second you select a song from setlist then it takes U to the edit mode, then U have to select the user mode, which is more steps than desired when U are performing that is. Another is the scroll speeds, there should be more control for inbetween speeds to allow lyrics to sync better with song tempo. There's more but I wont be using GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics , make improvements then it'd be useful for performing gigs.

This product is cool but not quite there yet. It assumes that you will put your entire gig set list of songs in one file. When you do GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics is prone to crash. If you put each song in a separate file, there is no easy way to switch to a new song without first going to the editor then selecting a new song then putting it into edit mode then selecting the song for the Gig. As i said the assumption is that you will put your entire gig into one file then you don't have to do the switching. The scrolling feature is nice although you still have to adjust the lines of text to get the timing right. You can set the scroll speed but who plays all the songs in a gig at the same speed. Again a better way to switch between song would fix this problem, then you could set the scroll speed of each song individually. I wanted something that I could use to read my lyrics and chords while I was playing a gig. I don't want GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics to blow up in the middle of a gig because I have more than 20 songs in my gig list. So... 3 stars for effort and for some neat features like importing, scrolling, and white text on black background. With a little more development, this might be more usable than for a song or two. (yes a real gig). Until then, I will have to put my money in a competitors product like iGig.

GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics has lots of great features and is simple to operate. I've used it for about 4 years, and only had minor issues, which were responded to and corrected really quick. Highly recommended.

GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics is fantastic and when I had questions about migrating to a different phone the developer (Dante) answered in a timely manner and put to rest my questions.
He is also open to my suggestion of adding an option for attaching a “foot switch” to enable hands free song changes and scroll pausing (the next time GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics is updated which would be a fantastic feature if implemented!)

This is just perfect for me. Importing songs and editing is simple and straightforward. Setting up song lists is a breeze. Timing and font size options work perfectly. The older I get, the harder it is for me to remember lyrics and music. GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics is just what I needed. Not carrying a songbook is great! Having what I need on the iPad is easy and unobtrusive when I play. Customer support is quick and helpful. The downside to GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics is ....well I don't have any ! I recommend this without hesitation..

GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics works perfectly as described. I had a question and Dante was very quick to answer it. Here is my question and simple straight forward and prompt response.

Hi Dennis,

There is a very subtle difference between loading a Song or loading a Setlist.

Open a Setlist by tapping on it's name on the left sidebar
DO NOT tap on any song within the setlist as it will load only that particular song (this is why you cannot swipe).
INSTEAD, tap on 'Gig' at the bottom of the setlist.
Now, the whole Set has been loaded
Once you do this, then swiping in between songs will work. Swipe on the body (text) of the song from right to left.

Everything is functioning perfect.

Just a few words to say how much I appreciate GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics! I’ve used Gig Hard for both live performances and studio recordings for upwards of 10 years, and it has truly been a lifesaver. The bulk of my gigs are wedding receptions where I don’t usually have a lot of lead time that would allow me to memorize the lyrics, so having GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics makes all the difference in my being able to perform unfamiliar songs with confidence. Like I said, it’s been a real lifesaver!

GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics is fantastic with one exception, now that I have to pay a subscription, it requires internet every time I open it to check for valid subscription. What I would like to see is some sort of an annual certificate telling GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics when my prepaid prescription ends so it doesn’t need to check for subscription except once a year since I am an annual subscriber and I pay up front.

Many of you have experienced issues with GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics. If you use the free app, it won't do everything it could. Plus the ads are PITA. I love GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics. It does everything I need it to do.

Some complain about the download one song at a time. Well, it downloads so fast, it's not an issue for me.

Some complain about the songs not scrolling/swiping to the next song. There is a little trick to that. When you put your set lists together and have the songs arranged in the order you want, click on the set list. Now, if you want to run one song click on the one song. If you want to run the list, open the set list, then click "GIG". Now GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics will load all the songs in the set. Swipe left, then right, it works great.

You have to buy the pro add on for 5.00. I find it more than worth it. It really is a great app and does everything they say it does.

I’ve been using GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics for a while now. Finally got on the paid version. I’m loving the set list functionality. Support has been great!

I was looking for an easy to use app that didn’t require me to learn a bunch of stuff. GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics is easy to figure out once you read the instructions and play with it. You can add lyrics, song, and playlists very easily. I paid for the upgrade. One time charge and it’s worth it. I just used GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics tonight for the first time at a gig and I loved it. The only thing I would suggest is adding something where you can allow for a long intro but not lose the words or have to slow the scrolling way down. Otherwise, I’m loving GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics and so glad I found it.

I’m a lead vocalist for a rock band. We gig out several times a month. I needed an app that would provide me with not only a st list, but the ability to see the lyrics during a performance, when necessary.

GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics provides that for me and much more. It organizes all my set list, and master list. I am able to move songs in and out of the set list, and change the order. Just one click on the title and the lyrics are there in the font size I choose. There are a lot of other really useful features. I am very grateful to have an app like this, Makes my life so much easier, without having to scroll around to find things, or shuffle papers on a music stand.

Have been experimenting with the pro version. You can only download lyrics from a .txt document. When you do, no highlighting or underlining shows up. You can open the txt file in gighard, and add underlining and highlighting, but doing it on a touch screen ipad is tedious! Would be better if gighard could import .doc and retain the underlining and hilighting. In the default 'All Songs' folder they are only arranged alphabetically, however in your own custom setlists you can easily re-arrange however you like by using the 'Drag-n-Drop' handles to the right side of each song. Simply tap-n-hold to drag a song up or down.

You only have to add the song 1 time which goes to the 'All Songs' folder, and you can use them in multiple set-lists. When you 'Remove' a song from a Set List, it doesn't not get deleted from GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics or removed from other Set Lists.

While the so-called “most helpful” review may be accurate as far as it goes I urge you to read further as that review is seven years old. I purchased the Setlist upgrade, have used GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics for several years and have been very happy with it and with this developer. I found GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics while looking for a teleprompter-like solution for scrolling lyrics. It does that…in spades. I found nothing else even remotely like it.

One feature of the Setlist functionality I recently discovered is a one-touch navigation to the next or last song.

For data entry you can use Dropbox, and maybe I should use it more, but I have found cutting and pasting to/from a text editor to be more intuitive. Bulk import/export of song files is not supported as far as I can tell.

Regarding support, I have called on Dante a couple of times and have found him very knowledgeable and responsive. This is not his day job, so allow him 24 hours or so to get back to you. GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics is designed to regularly back up all data to iCloud. If you think you’ve lost your data, take a deep breath and don’t do anything rash. Its probably still there and your issue is likely not the fault of GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics. Consider contacting Apple Support (whom I have also found to be very helpful).

I just loaded GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics a couple of days ago. It had been years since I had looked for an app for scrolling lyrics. Quite a few years ago it was difficult to find a good one and I forgot about it until wanting to play a few new songs out and not having the lyrics memorized. I went to GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics Store and looked at two different apps, and saw right away that they were collecting data from my usage and wanted to access my contacts list which I was not comfortable with. I took a look at this one, and noticed that it does not collect any data, which made me quite happy. I downloaded it and it took me all of 15 minutes to get the basics handled. I’m thinking seriously of paying five dollars and loading the pro version, one to get the other features and also to support the developer. I feel that someone who offers such a great program free deserves to be supported.

My go to app. Easy to use and great support. Responded to my question in about 20 min.

GigHardAutoscrollingLyrics has improved my productivity. No more wasted time at airports and flying anymore. I do my creating and tinkering with words and chords at home on my tablet, then pull out my phone when not otherwise productive traveling to memorize songs.

Moved from the basic app to the set list option to get away from the ads. Really like having my 100+ songs organized by set lists.
