The developer is based out of china and collects sensitive data from their users. Their support uses a Gmail account which means they are doing the absolute minimum to operate (using a free email service for a business is sketchy at best) which means they are certainly cutting corners on other things, like safeguarding their users sensitive data. Stay away unless you want your private info all over the web.

Gather is a staple app in my phone. Yeah it crashes sometimes and what not, but what app doesn't? The only thing is that when you upload pictures, it always seems to upload them in a lower quality than they are. They come out a little blurry, sometimes a lot more blurry than the original. And then people think you're a fake profile.

Easy app to join and deactivate. More dating apps should learn from this set up. So easy to view and chat with people living nearby. Good work!

Best app and met a couple of guys and am satisfied. Only detail I would add is location filters. I am from Canada and I can't go to the u.s so it woukd be fun to filter them out

The filters now being available for free is so much better.

I uninstalled, reinstalled and did a restart on my phone. Seems to have resolved the text issue. Will try it later. Edit: everything seems to work well. I really like the ability to see distance to see what guys are close by. The chat sometimes doesn't send. If you don't here the tone, it didn't get sent. Close GATHERgaygatheringdating , reopen, then resend the message. Not perfect, but it's great for its propose

I love GATHERgaygatheringdating exceptionally....but it's just that sometimes lately, GATHERgaygatheringdating isn't just as it was, it lagg and after logout, couldn't log back in.

Those people complaining, just don't use.. Or pay for the service. For God sake... Help GATHERgaygatheringdating run on free.. a simple click won't hurt much.

Fub for meeting and connecting with new ppl. It's hard for me to find friends with similar backgrounds but with Gather I have had the most luck finding them than with similar social apps.

Overall kinda okay, I like that they have the discreet function for the apps. But it will be much much better to make it completely discreet for those who need it.

Great app for seeing what's happening around you. Perfect for the occasional hookup or something like that. Lots of flaky or judgemental types sometimes but hey it is what it is and you get what you get use your best judgement and be careful (if you don't want to row the boat then don't get in it)
