i tried every angle! lighting! and nothing would work! always said retake! i saw a response saying they fixed it. but its still not working.

So far CoinIdentifier is useless to me. I have scanned many wheat pennies as early as 1914. The only response Im getting is “Unknown Coin Type”. Im going to get rid of CoinIdentifier . I strongly suggest not getting CoinIdentifier.:

CoinIdentifier couldnt Identify one coin. I scanned all types of coins and not one could be identified not even a penny. If the free 3 day trial cant impress me why would I purchase CoinIdentifier ?

I hate when apps make you pay for the simplest stuff

I checked serval coins and this service could not provide me with a value. However, when I used another service I got the value of my coins. I’m canceling my subscription!!!!!?

Was so excited about CoinIdentifier but when I scanned a 1981 penny. It said it was a coin from the years 1982-? 🤔
When I scanned it a second time, it said it was a 1974 coin. 🫤
I don’t think CoinIdentifier is ready to be on the market just yet.
It Either has the wrong info entered into its system or not enough!

I have tried every angle, every lighting setup, uploaded a crystal clear magnified image. It does not work at all. I even just tried typing in the coin year and denomination but always zero results in the database. Don’t waste your time.

What a scam! First three 1923 Liberty Dollars CoinIdentifier was unable to scan or find in database. Stay away… CoinIdentifier is probably a Chinese data mine operation. I regret downloading within the first two minutes.

I think it’s current status the price shallow trying to charge is absurd unless the coins are perfect. It has a hard time register and I have to take a ton of pictures.

Y’all should have more details about the coins as well as start up some condos way for people to buy sell trade coins on this same app, with a free version that has ads with slightly less benefits

Does not recognize any picture no matter what you do. Picture can be perfect and still will say is blurry.

Could not read clear dates on coins and would show other coins that has no similar markings would not recommend this joke to anyone.
The only reason it gets a one star is because apps do not allow comments with at least one star and definitely don’t want others wasting their time searching like I just did smh.

My name is Connor and I’m a Certified coin collector, trader, seller and I price coins for my curious customers. I can promise you that every ad I’ve seen for this apps fake!
One ad had a 1959 normal penny, then there was a 1959 wheat penny, they discontinued wheat pennys in 1959, so it showed them scanning the non wheat 1959 it said it was worth like $800-$13,000 and it would only be worth about $2.00-$6.00! And the wheat 1959 like $30,000?!?! These prices are fake as muthertrucker don’t use CoinIdentifier

For an app, you have to pay so much for it only scanned half of my collection. It would crash every fourth coin scanned in and refused to ID the ninth coin and continue to crash. I'm glad I did the free trial and did not pay for this piece of trash. according to the system, half of my coins aren't even real I couldn't even identify a 1895 quarter.

I have had CoinIdentifier for a bit now. Everytime I try and scan a coin, can’t be verified. Could be an old coin or could be a MS70. Perfect coin , still same outcome. If I had known how CoinIdentifier was gonna do I would have never spent the money on it for a year. Very frustrating!

I tried about ten times to get it to work with better than enough lighting and pristine focus with several different quarters and dimes but all turned out to be unidentifiable. CoinIdentifier has a lot of great reviews but in my perspective it may need some bugs worked out.

Just horrible never even gets the correct coin

Pricing is a joke, not accurate how can you price a coin when you have no clue of what condition Coin is in like example MS 70 MS . certified Coin, any other grades, but you come up with a price range, which is crazy must be 40 years old. Have no interest in using it anything like this it’s a waste of time.

Tried multiple times taking photos but it kept telling me there was nothing in their database. CoinIdentifier does not work. Deleting it.

9/10 times you take a picture of your coin, it can't tell what kind it is. It tells you to retake it. Does not matter what coin or your lighting, this does not work.

You have to subscribe before anything otherwise it won’t cut you a break.

Followed all the steps to a “t”. CoinIdentifier could not figure out what the coin was. Extremely disappointing. Save your money.

Using the Apple 14 phone camera the majority of coins were unable to be identified by CoinIdentifier. Feel I should be refunded.

HORRIBLE APP. I scan the coin and it shows me, coins of different years. It’s honestly no help at all. I cancelled the 3 day trial and they still charged me & said I had until the 29 with it which I had no use for it the rest of the week cause it’s useless just wasted money. They charge weekly & can’t even read the coins right. 0 stars if I could

Although I would like it to work very much - it would be incredibly useful if it worked properly! - unfortunately it does not work at all, it is barely even able to discern what denomination the coins were that I tried to identify, and always got the date wrong. And YES, I am diligent about details so I am POSITIVE that all the pictures I took were not blurry and in good lighting with a contrasting background 🙄

CoinIdentifier is not accurate at all. After taking a clear pic it gives info on different dates. Does not even say when it has no mint mark. The advertisement of CoinIdentifier it definitely now how it works

I Scanned 7 coins so far and the results have been okay but not great. I am following the directions but getting a message that a 2015 United States Quarter is unrecognizable.
CoinIdentifier is Fun but not worth $5.99 a Week.

I just DL now. I’ll have to delete it CoinIdentifier bc this lets you use it three days for free and then 5.99 a week!!!!!! At you crazy???? CoinIdentifier doesn’t even tell you WHERE you can take your old change.

It is ok but it is sensitive and does not do simple coins it has to be in mint condition for it to work so I would not recommend using unless you want to spend a lot of money this is not CoinIdentifier I was looking for so get coin snap

This is ridiculous. 6$ a week just to use CoinIdentifier !? That’s like a lottery scam. By the time I find anything worthwhile I’d be in the poor house. CoinIdentifier will never pay for itself. Other than silver weight I’ve found one coin in my life that was worth 1500$. And my roommate intentionally stole it. Literally value or silver weight has been thr only value I’ve seen in coins. If it’s just strictly a hobby for you half the enjoyment of collecting coins I’d assume is looking into and looking through them and the history and rarity of them. Do CoinIdentifier isn’t useful at all however if you’re like I assume most people who go through coins you’re trying to find something valuable. And most of what you’re going to fund isn’t worth trying to sell because if it’s not silver NOBODY WILL BUY IT. THEREFORE YOU WASTED MONEY. On the off chance you run across a rare coin that is valuable you’re probably going to instinctively know that there is something odd about it. Google. Bam. Saved you $24 a month. CoinIdentifier doesn’t save money and it barely saves time. 6$ I’ve used apps that have saved my life that are free. This doesn’t even save money it costs more than you’re likely to ever earn if you actively look for rare coins. Seems predatory to me. Or akin to crime in boom towns.

Extremely disappointed. It covers only basic design and mint details. Doesn’t recognize some Morgan Dollars. No questions about graded coins.

CoinIdentifier is great, it’s just one problem, when I take pictures to identify the coin’s, it won’t identify. So I have to keep finding every angle at my house just to see what coin it is. And after all of that time finding a great angle It didn't work. The coin isn’t damaged, the coin isn’t dark, the camera ain’t blurry. And it still does not identify the coin, so I’m just stuck with the coins that I don’t know what they are worth. And my camera is good, it’s an apple camera, I kept wiping it off and checking it and nothing is wrong with it, so I’d say that I wouldn’t recommend CoinIdentifier to check your coins. You can if you want but it’s gonna be hard to find the perfect angle.

I am a coin collector surprisingly at age 13 and really wanted an app that could help me identify my old coins. I really was hoping that CoinIdentifier would have no purchases needed. But I am very disappointed that it does. Yet, I still do t know how long it takes until I can take another photo after already taking two. I hope you consider making no in app purchases.

It's a very good app and helps me to figure out coins. But when I try to ask AI, it doesn't let me send the message and I want to figure out the prices of my coins.

It only works on big coins and big foreign coins

I found a penny that I have never seen before. A 2009 D with Lincoln home cabin on it. It was in near mint condition. I tried finding out about it on another coin APP I mostly use. They could not locate anything. CoinIdentifier is now my go to for. Checking coins and values.

Great app love it

At first, it was a little hard, but I hadn’t realized that you have to keep the camera straight and you cannot turn it sideways but other than that it’s a great app except it’s a little expensive. Plus, if you’re scanning a quarter it normally gives you the wrong date.

Can’t take picture not happy with app at all

I suffer from depression and anxiety And the first thing I do when I get home is check learn the not only the history, but the education. It is my anxiety pill. Thanks guys! Keep up the great work.
