Love how I spent time making a image, just so I have to pay money

What Is the point of being able to edit photos for ‘free’ just to be met with a paywall when you would want to export or save those ‘freely’ edited photos. Just a lazy cash grab, would not recommend.

I clicked on cancel subscription and it says we cannot cancel subscriptions directly. To unsubscribe hop over to Apple Store.

Horrible do not buy, there’s free websites that actually work and saves the image without a background.

I wanted to replace a background in one photo. This doesn’t include “in-app purchases” you have to pay for it to save anything and the worst part is that it roles you into a subscription. I will never subscribe to anything again that charges you if you forget to cancel and that you have to jump through hoops to get out of. After spending all of that time one photo only to find out I couldn’t even save it, I cannot recommend BackgroundAIobjectremover. May be good for photographers who will actually use it regularly

It says it free but it’s not I spent over an hour removing a background only for it to tell me I can’t save it unless I want to pay for it. BackgroundAIobjectremover doesn’t deserve any stars

Was excited for an affordable option. Pictures are pixelated after background is removed making objects look stained. I opted for the year subscription and cancelled almost immediately. Now I’m out $27+. Dont waste your money or your time.

You need to pay Money to download the picture after you removed the background!! You also can’t take a screenshot it won’t work!! I do not recommend BackgroundAIobjectremover

I wanted a transparent background and I get done editing the parts it missed and I go to download it and the free one I can download is the same picture I had before the transparent background and the one that wasn’t free was the one I had edited? What’s the point??

Can’t do anything with it at all. Or if it can, the free options are so hidden that I just can’t find them.

I’m sure it’s pretty good but I wish I could just watch an ad or something so I could even just try it out.

I just wanted to remove the background of one picture and it made me pay? What’s the point of making BackgroundAIobjectremover free if you HAVE to pay to just make a background transparent?! Annoying!!

BackgroundAIobjectremover doesn’t allow me to even remove background on ONE photo! What I mean is yes, you can do that but to save it to your photos or share it you have to subscribe. I’ve tried avoiding this by screenshot yet it shows up blank on the photo!

App tricks you into thinking you can remove the background for free so you’ll put the picture it and it’ll take the background off but in order to save it, you have to get a subscription and if you screenshot it blacks the screen out. I would rate 0 if I could.

It said you can cancel at anytime. So, I joined and immediately changed my mind, followed instructions on how to cancel. When I did, a notice popped up saying they can’t cancel it! Said to go to sp store. Went to so store and there is no way to cancel. So, now I have to call my credit card and put in a dispute. I hate to download apps for this reason, but this one sounded so easy to cancel . Now one simple click opens a door to endless aggregation. Shame on you!

If you don’t have money this may come as a bummer while reading this. You have to buy to do basically everything even when I removed the background to export to my gallery I needed to buy it. Please dont buy it so you don’t have to waste your little time on this earth on something that didn’t work

BackgroundAIobjectremover will not let you unsubscribe if you choose to do so. Would not recommend. I have tried to unsubscribe multiple times and have gotten nowhere. I have contacted BackgroundAIobjectremover and followed all the protocols to unsubscribe and it still won’t let me. BackgroundAIobjectremover has also been charging me for things I have not been purchasing. All in all it’s a total scam!

This says you can cancel anytime, but it is a lie. It says “hop on over to BackgroundAIobjectremover Store” to cancel, but that is not possible to do. I see from many other users who experienced the same issue, the response in review from Ereasy is to go to a provided link - No Chance I am trusting that link. Don’t do it. Will NOT spend $480 a year on something I don’t want. I downloaded this to erase the grim background of my parent’s hospital room and am disheartened by BackgroundAIobjectremover’s dishonesty. Ereasy - you must make cancellation simple, transparent, and in-app.

I downloaded BackgroundAIobjectremover because I needed a blank background for a school id photo. In BackgroundAIobjectremover I paid around 50 cents to use the tool I needed, there weren't any instructions on what I needed to do but for the most part what I had to do was self explanatory but ended up getting a editing job I could’ve did myself in photoshop. Regardless after that I made sure not to sign off for a subscription and even went to my settings to cancel the subscription they automatically put me in. I was continuously charged unknowingly twice for 10 dollars, so 20 dollars all together for not even opening BackgroundAIobjectremover . The thing is I don’t even care about the money they stole but now it has become a problem because not only is the subscription cancelled and I haven’t used BackgroundAIobjectremover since July, which was for a day. I now can’t download any apps free or not without putting in billing information because they’re charging me for another 10 dollars. I have reported this to apple and have been waiting to hear how they’re going to handle this situation. Would like the developer to respond.

BackgroundAIobjectremover subscription is very misleading, dishonest, and predatory. You think you’re signing up for a week trial for $.50 yet you will be immediately charged $11 for a subscription. I’m on a fixed income and only had a certain amount in my account and thankfully was immediately declined when they tried to sign me up for a subscription without my permission.

I could not get it to work as it was described. The pictures I uploaded would on show portions.

You can’t save or share creations without paying. Don’t bother downloading BackgroundAIobjectremover and wasting your time with it.
Pay wall is fast and expensive.

The developers responses to all the reviews are saying that it’s tools are free to use but exporting an sharing is paid. Ok then what’s the point of BackgroundAIobjectremover at all? Just to try and get you to pay? I feel like BackgroundAIobjectremover is an ad of its own sitting on my Home Screen. Please do not waste your time with BackgroundAIobjectremover.

This needs to be regulated by Apple better. “Free” with in “in app purchases” should mean you still get to use some of the features. You can’t do anything or save anything without purchase

I erased the background, but I cannot find any option to replace it. It should not take so much time to figure out things like this. I will cancel now.

I understand that work needs to be done. I do not think one should be charged when the product is not done well. If there was an option to upload before and after I would show you simple pictures where I tried to remove the background. None of which were successful.
I first tried a Christmas tree. I thought that would definitely be distinguishable from its surroundings. However, my Christmas tree was only about 3/4 of a Christmas tree and where it was cut out was all different places and it looked like frankly a distorted mess.
I tried a birthday cake on a completely different plain grey background. This was a birthday cake with lit candles. I was shown the top of the cake only after the removal of the background. The product was completely unable to distinguish the lines of the cake from the table. It was on.
I think that when the product is really able to remove the background, then someone should be charged.
I am someone who buys apps probably more than the average person, so I am not someone who does not buy apps. I have tons of apps on my phone and tons of subscriptions. This one however, is so badly done at this particular point in time that I just can’t bring myself to pay for it because I would never ever ever use it because it cannot cut your picture out and that is the only thing that BackgroundAIobjectremover is for.
I also never ever take the time to leave a review, but I strongly felt that these developers needed to know that they shouldn’t be charging for something that barely works, if at all.
Maybe if it’s a human standing in the middle of a green field, with no other distractions, you might be able to get the whole human. The person would definitely not be able to be wearing anything that was the same color as the field . BackgroundAIobjectremover absolutely cannot distinguish anything that is even close to the same color as what you want to cut out, that was why I tried the birthday cake against a plain background as my second test.
From the way my pictures look **this does not have the ability to close in on the pixels like it says** (unless you have to try the paid version in order to know if that works). It certainly does not yet anyway in the free version, maybe that’s coming and yes, I do have the latest version.
I downloaded it and returned it the same day. I look forward to returning after updates as I need an app like this. One star is for the easy functionality. However, that’s not exactly true because it said you can close in on the pixels and you can’t. One is not allowed to leave zero stars so the one will have to stand.

So I decided to actually pay for the year plan because I had pictures that I needed to work on. To begin with, there is no information anywhere on how to use BackgroundAIobjectremover . From what I can see( again no instructions), there is no way to save any of the backgrounds / creations you create. So, if you are using the AI, it will have to be a different background for each individual thing. The last thing is, a lot of times it makes you close out before moving on to the next picture. That is annoying if you are working with any amount of pictures. Now, this is my review so far, it could be that BackgroundAIobjectremover does not give all the information to work with. I did like the fact it was very basic and does look like it has a lot of potential once updated.

App is clunky and mediocre. You have to pay to use it, they’ll let you design your first image but won’t let it save unless you pay for it. Not worth it at all, manipulative way to monetize and does nothing very good, and no unique features outside basic photo editing. Don’t download this.

So, obviously, the Main reason for getting this is to remove the background. But if you want to do Anything else… like, say, combine two different images into an AI background- there is seemingly no way to do this. For example- I am trying to make a little advertisement for my kittens to get new homes. So I needed several photos to add together…like I said- there is No intuitive way to do this. Secondly, and Just As Irritating- you can not make adjustments to the SIZE of the image you remove the background from. You can adjust the Color (saturation and the like), but NOT THE SIZE...which you would Think it’d be the First option to Change. I really Wish I could add the picture that I’m stuck with to this review - it is this HUGE kitten in front of this pumpkin patch arch. IF there is a way to make adjustments on BackgroundAIobjectremover- it is Not easy to find. Also- you can’t save your work into BackgroundAIobjectremover . So if you want to go back and make adjustments- Good Luck. Ugggh I’m so frustrated I didn’t pay for Canva instead. 😖🙄🙄🙄 😖

BackgroundAIobjectremover itself may be free to download and you can mess with the background in your photo, but that’s it. To save or share your photo, a subscription is required. If someone uses it a lot maybe it’s worth it, but I literally needed to adjust one photo and won’t be paying for that.

BackgroundAIobjectremover erased my logo to give me a blank transparent background - Useless

Ok, so BackgroundAIobjectremover was amazing, it removed my background in seconds but there's one small problem. See I was done with my piece and wanted to save it but, I HAVE TO PAY TO SAVE? Yea that's a little dumb. But besides that great app!

For some reason when used in Canva it stops providing a transparent background. It's a Canva issue. The background shows transparent in my camera roll.

Simple, easy to use and does the background removal well for quick posts. The the weekly subscription is nice for occasional use.
Could use more features to manipulate image, and background cropping etc…

Original Review: Super convenient and easy to use, and not blocked or backed by a ton of paywalls. So far no limitations to my usage if all I want to do is remove a background, but curious to what all the extras can do. Maybe I’ll check it out one day but for now, as a free app, it’s worth it!
***edit: shortly after posting this, I went to create another image through BackgroundAIobjectremover (I’ve only done it twice) & was immediately blocked by a paywall. Look… I don’t mean to sound like a faultfinder, a grumbler, a Karen of sorts… but I am so irritated by subscriptions. I understand the need to sell a product or program you create but why do we have to lease everything nowadays? Why can’t we just make one time purchases to own a product? I’d rather pay $25-$50+ for a program/service/application to own it so I can access it whenever I want than to pay $6.99 per WEEK or forced to pay annually, which, is just as bad, because we all get 1000s of emails from companies & advertisements, we aren’t always going to catch the renewal email & no one is gonna remember “oh yeah, my insignificant phone camera photo editor app bill is due” a whole year later… anyways I’m done rambling. BackgroundAIobjectremover is built well & it works as intended, but I’m disappointed it didn’t just have a “watch an ad” feature like NoCrop or other editing apps do, especially after I had just got finished writing a review about how much I liked it & appreciated the access without an enforced paywall. Do what you will with that info, it’s not super expensive but it’s just another charge you’ll have to remember if you decide the product is worth it! And it does work very well.
