Soccer Manager 2025 Reviews

I have played this game since 2020. Over the course of that span, I have seen some good editions of the game, SM20 and SM23 probably the best, and have seen some fairly disappointing ones. This game however is by FAR the worst game I’ve ever seen playing this series. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING from last year has changed. No new squad roles, no new tactics, no new NOTHING. How lazy must these developers be to completely resent and ignore what was a great and enjoyable game in the past? I have been crying out for inverted full backs in the game, one of the most COMMONLY used trends in football today. And also, not a single player in the game plays under the role of “sweeper keeper” when that is literally the DEFINITION of players like Andre Onana, Vicario, Raya, Ederson, etc. In all honesty, the layout last year looks WAY better than last year, so in a way they have worsened the game from last year. I hope my opinion on this game eventually changes over time, but so far this game is in shambles and something’s need to change in SM26 next year for this game to stay relevant.

A lot is need to be done to this game I wasn’t expecting this. This is trash the game hang for no reason 2024 far more better this I was expecting something more exciting

I didn’t even want to say anymore! too many many bugs…… just talk about one thing is that in the premier league why the only Manchester City team’s logo can see the others’ are not? Hope you fix the bugs quickly in the next update!

I was hopeful when I heard the 25 was in development as I’ve been a fan since 22 that being said this years iteration has been by far the worst with so many bugs. Defense being next to useless. And just overall feeling stale and boring. They even made the UI worse this year. It’s a shame how they gutted what could’ve been a great franchise

I am very disappointed. I feel like the game was a bit rushed. In sm24 the UI and layout is very easy to use, while in sm25 everything has been changed… why fix something that isn’t broken? Furthermore the tactics screen is weird and small, the players all look the same and look goofy. I have a lot more to say but I’ll leave it at that

Bugs i have faced after playing just a few days:
1. After a season in an Asian league, the interface shows nothing but “text, text, …” and cannot be proceeded any more. Attempted rebooting but didnt help — have to give up.
2. The game freezes time to time, especially within matches.
3. Screen turns blank sometimes when my player got red card or injured.
4. Some specific rotations cannot be saved — reset for no reason for every match.
5. Hard to drag/substitute players for some positions.

Some changes I dislike compared to SM24:
1. You need Gold to trade players but Gold now is much harder to get than in SM24. I cannot buy players after 2 seasons, unless you spend money or wait a day or so for lucky lottery.
2. Game is too easy with certain lineups.

I don’t like SM25 this isn’t like same photo.
They should change everything this game update. If u don’t change this game system i will delete this game. rating 0/10

The menus and UI are very cartoonish and less efficient that SM 24. The SM 24 menu and UI were so clean and easy to use that this is a big downgrade.

The action on the pitch also looks very goofy and unrealistic. In SM 24 the action may not have been great or realistic but it didn’t look like a total clownshow.

One positive to note is that wide players don’t get absolutely wrecked as in SM 24. Your ML/MR or AML/AMR actually get fair grades whereas in SM 24 they always graded out as a 5 or, if you’re lucky, a 6 unless they had a goal contribution.

The game right now is really bad it’s a downgrade from last year players got not faces, no club logos, there is no free transfer market. also I was talking about players team chemistry being soo off for years now.

There are fewer countries included compared to the previous game, and I can’t understand why Palestine was removed after being part of the roster before. The game layout is incredibly disorganized, riddled with bugs, and there doesn’t seem to be any significant improvements aside from graphical updates.

It’s also disappointing that there are no African leagues included—not even a single one! This lack of representation feels like a major oversight. On top of that, the generic players don’t even have animated faces, making it impossible to differentiate between players with similar names.

Overall, this game is a huge letdown compared to the previous version, with fewer features, less variety, and minimal upgrades where it actually counts.

Player potentials are way, way, way, off…. Pretty disappointing.

Everything got worse

There was no point to change the graphics and placements of all the stuff around to try and make it look different , literally should have just kept it as it was in SM24 was way better and more simple . It would’ve been better if the game kept it’s stuff all the same as SM24 with the transfers tabs the original design no need for this cartoonish looking design that’s impossible to navigate and figure it out . Literally put all the tabs back as they used to be the transfers the squad the tactics and all the same format as SM24 and change the designs it’s horrendous

No difference in gameplay between 2024 and 2025, but the 2025 is not as good as there are no player models. None of the players have faces, and they don't seem to have the license for any laliga team. Also, the menu is more difficult to navigate.

This is honestly such a downgrade. I was looking forward to the new teams more than anything, just to find out there’s no real faces . Ig they didn’t get licensed ? Or maybe I didn’t choose the right data pack .

Ik it just came out but this is dreadful, the graphics and animations are better but that was expected. All the menus were basically perfect last year as well as the layouts and colors. This year it’s the opposite and there are little tweaks that make the game feel slower in parts were it shouldn’t be at all. Imma go back to sm24 already

So far I’ve played a couple games and I’ve not enjoyed it as much as Soccer manager 24 because the ratings of some players went down quite a bit but also I just don’t think it’s ready to compete with last years game and other soccer games like Ea Fc 25 have really stepped it up from last year and I’m really not seeing it here yet. I do not like this layout and ui. The color scheme isn’t great and I preferred the retractable menu that was in 24. So far there’s nothing really to like about 25. I just hope the bugs that were present in 24 like being unable to release players or not being able to buy players who I had on loan are gone. But the game hasn’t been great since 23. Like some folks said. I might just stick with playing 24 if I don’t like 25

It’s honestly frustrating the defending in the game is bad. It’s like the defenders purposely pass the ball to them. You can have a defender with high pace and a slow striker can just head the ball past them and run faster than the defender. The player models are terrible on every other team expect for Man City. It’s just a frustrating game all around with the Tactics, player roles, and just overall a downgrade from soccer manager 24

I feel like it is so unfinished for some reason, sm 24 was way smoother and easier to get around in the menus. All you needed to do was take sm24 and add on to it but all you did was made it worse in every way I can’t name a single thing that is better

This game disappointed me. It was not as advertised.

The SM series is one of the few games I play these days but SM 25 has been a let down. The UI seems to be cluttered yet lacking when compared to the previous generation. There also seems to very glitchy. I often have blank screens and have to search for features that were included in 24, to no avail. Hopefully things will improve but for now I will keep playing SM24.

It's the fifth day I have a black screen instead of a match. This problem cannot be solved in any way. I tried to restart, restart the device, but nothing worked.

The players picture and the clubs logo and emblem are not showing what cause this

the graphics from last year made it so much more respectable. the remapped UI is interesting but not really as efficient. it's just a downgrade

This feels a bit like a downgrade although has a sense of some great features if improved. Unlike SM 24, players look the same in custom club mode and when they score they all have the same haircut and facial features. Subs coming out and in feature is not there anymore. Comparing players is only limited to what the game gives you as options. One cant compare an AML with an FL they wish to compare with and only limited to provided options of like to like. Also fix an error on Free kick take. It has Left and Left instead of Left and Right. Overall feels very similar to SM 24. Great thanks!!

Soccer manager 2024 was much better and easier to control. A lot of bugs are showing up. Some team kits are random and the stats from qualifiers are not showing up on players.

You haven’t upgraded the teams real logo n badge and the competition names..,

The game is good but the graphics are not good enough the 2024 even looks matured than this pls update all needed for the game ✅✅

Bueno el juego en si es divertido, pero yo como vivo en cuba no me deja entrar si no es con vpn… ya que al ser la conexión mala .. con vpn es más todavía … espero q lean esto y en futuras versiones me dejen jugar sin vpn,, además el juego tiene algunos bugs en los momentos .. pero se arregla fácil… gracias al equipo por este juego .. por favor ayúdenme con esto … gracias…

SM25 is a great game a definitely an improvement from last year although I wish that yall would add more player roles and instructions I think if you add more of these it will take this game to the next level

I love playing SM and have been doing so for years, definitely the best manager game on mobile, but can you please add the sim through matches system? It takes so so long to finish a season, would really make it a lot more enjoyable if we could sim through matches or even a season like we can in EA FC manager mode

I can’t believe how good the game looks right now. Everything imaginable is here and i’m loving the game right now. Highly Recommend

This game is one of my best game I will advice you to improve more in the upcoming editing updating and face recognition. Best game on my phone so apart from the I'm football mangers games lover your game is one of the best among them ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The game is bad, it stops working when I play, and also buying players now requires more gold, and the game has lost its credibility and has become more concerned with profit.
