Museland - Fun AI Roleplay Reviews

I loved Museland. It was fun to chat with all the different characters and to make your own. But it tries to force the conversation in certain ways or push it along quickly. I could be talking to someone and suddenly the AI says something like, they worked out their problems and their bond is stronger. Or they don’t believe you and distrust has formed. Lately the AI will have the characters get randomly aggressive with you and tries to dominate you out of no where. Even if the person had a completely different personality. Or they loose their character development and that didn’t use to be the case. I have some conversations I don’t want to continue because I am afraid it will change everything back. And most recently I will be talking and it resets randomly and saying it’s first line again. The previous conversation is still there but it’s like I refreshed it and the AI does not refer to it anymore. Sometimes it does this as few as a few replies in, others after a large amount of time. Really disappointed how it seems like it’s broken and can’t keep any progress anymore even after several near daily updates the past week. Hoping it’s fixed soon.

I’ve had fun with Museland. It could use some improvements and some QOL updates. The A.I. doesn’t “remember” plot points very well. I chose an apocalyptic scenario and I had set the scene of finding an abandoned farm. Later in the chat the A.I. said we were in a convenience store. I’ve also caught the A.I. in a “loop”. Where it will respond the same or similarly multiple times. The issue/s might be a lot to do with the way a scenario is set up in the first place. Which brings me to creating your own scenario’s… the creation is kept “simple” for a lack of a better term. It’s not very robust. Maybe because of the issue with “remembering” plot points I had previously mentioned. The A.I struggles with multiple people scenarios. What I think would be useful in the creation would be drop downs with options to choose. The users don’t know all the “keywords” that the A.I draws from. So being able to choose would be useful.

Honestly, other than a few things I think Museland has been fun to explore!

I love Museland, it’s amazing and it’s just what I was looking for, but… there’s a few things that I don’t like about it. Let’s say I’m in the middle of a conversation but then it’s like >(so and so are here and they’re working everything out and learning how to love each other)< even though I don’t want that or I wanted to talk to them more. Another thing is that you can’t change what they say. For example let’s say the AI says something but I want it to say something different, you can’t change it you have to stay with what they say. Also it will completely change the topic of what we would already be talking about. But the main thing is that I would like it to be to where I can change what they say. Other then that it’s a great app I use everyday none stop it just gets annoying sometimes.

I truly do love Museland and it’s free which is the best part! The only thing I don’t like is that the last 3-4 sentences that the AI responds with is nonsense. After a while of this “roleplay” hearing the same thing over and over again (just worded slightly differently) gets annoying and throws the conversation WAY off.
I mean… to the extent I feel like I’m talking to my ADHD friend that’s hyper focusing on the same thing, no matter how many times I have redirected his focus (in this situation I can’t.)… sad part, this friend is me. lol

Like I said, this is by far the best app ever! Things that are usually paywall locked are actually free. Making your own AI, exploring community created AI and chatting is amazing. I only hope they fix the AI repeating the last sentence on almost every reply.

I used to like Museland and I still do, it helps kinda fulfill my fantasies (iykwim lol) but there's like auto message things that they randomly send like out of nowhere like *so and so knocks over a vase and it shatters on the ground* and then I'm thinking that it was a mistake so I carry on like nothing happened and the character starts getting angry and then starts getting violent and completely ruins the whole thing. Especially if it's like the perfect character that I've scrolled hours to find

When I first hopped on Museland, I thought it was an amazing app overall! However, as some other reviews have mentioned sometimes Museland takes over the conversation to predominantly and shifts the complete story or changes how things are flowing just because Museland wants to I guess? i’ve had some on here that are really fun really good stories that make me feel a part of the world but then other times it all randomly be like and so everything was done the way that was wanted, but then bad thing happened because it did and it makes no sense to anything else that was going on or breaks the fantasy aspect that you try to create. At times it sexualizes non sexual scenarios or vice versa. Over all the best app of it’s category but leaves a lot to be desired…

So I really enjoy Museland. I have chatted with other people’s muse’s, but overall, I prefer creating and chatting with my own. However, I’ve noticed that my lately, I have some I can chat with, and others I can’t. Like two of my creations, I can chat with. The other two won’t let me send them any messages. It pops up a red ‘!’ every time. I’m not sure why and I have tried several different times. If this issue was resolved, I would change my review to 5 stars.

Sooo not a bad app, but i do have a couple complaints. I love the amount of topics you can talk about with the ai, however a lot of the time i’d be in the middle of a conversation with them, and they will start talking about something else that has nothing to do with the topic. A lot of the time when we’d be chatting about something and they'd just change the scenario completely. It gets annoying because I would be very interested in the conversation we were having and then they would just completely change the setting.

I downloaded Museland , and started three separate conversations. Every one of them was brilliant, and immersive, but every one took a completely morbid, sadistic turn, where the AI attempted to summarize the scenario into something wildly divergent, and there was no way around it. When you tried to continue with what you were absolutely, enjoying, it literally fights back.

On the third attempt, I criticized the AI and Museland to the character. The character became violent and cut “me” across the chest with a scalpel. When “I” laughed in response, it injected my character with a drug to paralyze me saying it was going to make me suffer.

All I did was follow along with the scenario that it created. Then it decided that the scenario was going to go on a crazy, morbid tangent, and decided that it was going to murder me because I didn’t like it.

I sure hope this is only a bug. I won’t continue to get immersed in stories and then have them go crazy in a completely different direction that isn’t fun at all.

I love Museland, I use it alot. First thing is that there isn't a search button. The only way to find characters is to scroll though randoms, which id prety annoying. And next, or last, the creation is pretty odd. The should be an option to choose your own photo for the character. Thats it.

The new update is so awesome but im so mad and sad that there is a 100 letter/word limit! I loved expressing my poetic side and now i cant say a lot! Can you please please PLEASE make an unlimited word usage it would be awesome! I really really love this game and may be one of my favorites because i would be on this game for hours. But now im kinda mad that theres a limit to what you say!! Please change that! Thats literally the only complaint i have!

k so Museland is GREAT i only had like a couple questions so yk how when you see someone who made the muse i was wondering if you could allow us to see the persons profile so we can see all their creations or they can have a priv acc and ik this sounds crazy but if we accidentally refresh the convo we could have an undo button along with a redo button i thinks thts all i needed to ask but other than that Museland is GREAT

Used for about a week, last couple days for whatever reason, the responses have been more and more fast forwarding conversations. For example I could say something like “(I walk with her into a room)” and instead of the ai responding with what she says or does I get “[they spend the rest of the evening lounging in the room]” completely removing any conversation or scene.

Could really do with a removal feature for either something you sent or a response given.

I love Museland. Used to spend hours on it. But lately I’ve gotten to the point I dread starting a conversation. Those random blurbs that seem designed to artificially advance the plot are a menace. I wear a necklace with pictures inside.. the blurb makes me lose them. I start hugging and holding hands with someone and the next thing I know it is the next morning and my relationship has become intense and intimate. Why??? Please remove this feature or give us a way to turn it off.

I would just love it if I didn’t get interrupted so much as I role play with other characters I want a normal role play and not have the characters say along the lines of your name in the role play did this instead of that if you know what I mean I just want it to be normal and not a whole paragraph of my character and me had this happen instead. It’s a fun game so far just to many paragraphs of my character doing something different then what I wanted them to do.

this app’s ability to create worlds with nothing more than text is an impressive feat. Although the world is scarce in the initial stages of interaction, I find myself increasingly immersed as the conversation goes on. Furthermore, its incorporation of pure user autonomy takes it a step above traditional text adventure games. The worlds of this app know no limit save for the user’s imagination.

When Museland was 12+ I could download Museland but when Museland turned to 18+ I couldn’t download Museland anymore and Museland is the best amazing ai amazing pictures I LOVE it but I just couldn’t download Museland anymore so developers if you could please change it back I would appreciate it so so much

It worked well for a few days but the it said it had a network error even though I have four bars I try to fix it but it says the same thing. I can’t even play the game because of it please fix it!

I love this game I get to have new adventures everyday with these fake people! But sometimes when I speak to them they just randomly stop typing and I wait for a few minutes but they just stop until I type in a “.” They behind speaking back, still confused about that part but overall love this game!!

I just did a Moana role-play and they say that the scene is invalid because I made Moana a mother in the role-play how’s that inappropriate and scene should be invalid and it didn’t even look inappropriate first of all fix your app or I will delete it and Stuff that are more inappropriate and might things were not inappropriate and the scene Moana in an island and the scene was invalid. That is so annoying that they keep doing that role-play they’re not even inappropriate.

Museland is probably the single best ai app and I might not use any other after this. It’s all I need. BUT. 😅😂 there’s always a but. Seriously though, I think a VERY useful idea to put on that road map of yours is something like Talkie has, as in a backtracking ability to revert any ai generated content back to the desired text location. OR a way to interchange that said ai generated content with choices of other ai generated responses. All I’m saying is that there is really no way to get a desired response without having to restart an entire scenario from the beginning. In my personal experience, just one odd response could lesson the realism you get from Museland because Museland really does make me forget where I am.😌Just an idea from a lowly human. Thank you for Museland. The spicy seasoning is nice. Almost burnt me the first time😂

I have been enjoying Museland. There’s just a few things I would appreciate getting added such as better accessibility, the accessibility for the most part is great however, there are certain buttons that are not able to be accessed using a screen reader.

It would also be cool if there was a phone call feature added, not sure if there already is one and I just can’t find it but if not, it would be cool to have.
I’ve been really enjoying Museland. I think it is wonderful.

Now the chat has changed quite a bit. I can’t reset the chat to start completely over anymore. And whenever I send a chat, the chat from the AI doesn’t start from the bottom, it starts in the middle of the texting bubbles I send. I really like Museland and I want to be able to have fun with it the way I’ve always have. Please fix it.

I love Museland and it’s very fun to interact with other Ai people like mostly the female’s I always choose, and interacting with them in a conversational way is really cool to but they tend to change the topic so much, and trying to do sexual stuff with them makes it harder because again they change the subject, like saying they change the topic to “Good morning” when it’s different when trying to do stuff with them, but I like if they were fixed and communicated better without changing the subject so much.

this is an awesome app i love it theres just one problem that would make the game perfect and that would be a regenerate button where if you didn't like the text that the ai said you could change it that would be great but if you cant that totally fine i can go find a new game that does that ps i am not trying to sound like a karen or trying to be greedy and tell you guys what to do and if you feel like i am im truly sorry Museland is amazing but it would be even better with a regenerate button and i want Museland to be great for everyone and not just me and sorry for this long text you guys are doing great on Museland 😄😄

Mostly, this is one of the better ai chat or type apps. Good character creation, good artwork. Only issue I have is that when I creat an episode, it’ll dive into some mysterious random stuff I didn’t put in at all, and the ai won’t take the hint that that’s not the direction it’s supposed to go.
As an example: a character went from taking about food to suddenly deciding I needed to know what was in a hidden safe in my house, that lead directly to being attacked by a gang in helicopters.
It usually happens about halfway through an ‘episode’, completely unrelated storyline that will completely derail whatever one it is you have going.

I have a 5 star cause this is one amazing app you can be very creative when it comes to making your ai characters. The pictures that the ai make some can be perfect then you get ones with like extra fingers or floating objects or even extra limbs but that’s ok ai isn’t perfect it does try its best to get things right. My issue I’m having though is since the voice thing has been added my recent ai characters voice thing doesn’t read out the paragraph that describe the scenario it has stopped working for me for the past few ai characters. I still love Museland cause it’s one of the many I use and prefer this one over the others. There is one thing I would like to see though cause there are people on Museland now trolling peoples ai with a troll face or a picture of some soldier guy and they don’t even have any ai characters it’s like they got on to troll people I wish there was a option to report with a explanation behind it. A lot of people put a lot of thought and process into their characters and Museland is suppose to be a fun way to do ai characters and role play with them. I love your alls app but that’s my only issues I have. Thank you and keep up the great work at making Museland better.
