I’m going to spend less time on this review than I spent with NoteSnap. Garbage, it’s a money grB in hopes you forget to cancel the 7 day free subscription. Don’t waste your time. If you take a picture of a dollar bill, it tells you it is a dollar bill. Complete garbage it doesn’t track serial numbers. Waste of time for a collector. Shame on company that put this out.

I downloaded NoteSnap because the coin app works great. Big mistake on my part. No matter how I take the pictures and adjust them it continuously tells me no note detected. Does not allow flash for the pictures. Not worth the money or the time. Glad I didn’t have to pay first to find out, I’ll give them kudos for that.

Just not worth it. Using the trial will delete before it charges me.

When I took a picture of one of my bills from the civil war, it said it was from Switzerland. Don’t download NoteSnap, it’s not worth your time

Why do you advertise free - then want a subscription?? $30 a year - not worth it !!

It’s says same thing about pretty much every note

NoteSnap changed me for subscription when it said it didn’t expire until April 1, 2025 clearly we are still in the new year 2024

Not worth the subscription. Does not at least yet. Take fancy serial numbers into account.
Could be, might be, maybe good for error notes but that’s another question for another day.

My wife received as change a $10 bill from a 7 Eleven store in California and it was fake- Looking at it closer the Name Motion Picture Industry shows up on it. The Bill app did not indicate that it was not a legal bill. A cancellation of NoteSnap is recommended!!!

NoteSnap is impossibly finicky to use and I’ve tried it on 3 common notes and it hasn’t recognized them at all.
I’d give it a 0/10
The camera keeps skipping from Portrait to Landscape as you try to take a photo and ultimately fails. And then even if you somehow manage to capture the photo, you still have to manually point out the corners which is unacceptable at $30/yr.

Doesn’t find any my bills correctly. Can’t even get the denomination right.

I took pictures of my rare star note and NoteSnap cannot read that it is a star note

Product does not do all US paper currency. One in particular is military payment certificates. This is the primary reason why I would use NoteSnap. As a result, I’d give it a one star, but if it did have military currency included in its database, I would give it a five star.

I have found bills and coins that i have checked on here and was told there is no value or that was considered common but when i took them to and actually collecter or someone in the trade i have got 10x and even 20x the actual worth of the bill itself

It worked for a while. But all of a sudden NoteSnap shuts down every time I tap the drop down menu to sort my collection by country. This makes NoteSnap basically useless for those of us that want to catalog our collections.

This is not a negative review but more like a progress report. First up, NoteSnap is way to basic for the fee they are charging. NoteSnap has potential but for now when you scan a note (because you can’t enter or search, which is a huge flaw) it just gives you a very very generic answer. Sometimes it gives you the same answer over and over and over for different notes. I find that suspicious. NoteSnap can be great but still has a long way to go. I’ll give it until my next renewal and if there are no significant improvements then I’ll cancel before payment. I don’t expect huge differences as I understand that NoteSnap is a work in progress and needs a lot of updating but if they are showing that they are heading in the right direction I’ll keep it for another year.

I have taken a picture and tried to get my 1872 $50 bill into my collection and it keeps telling me it’s a two dollar bill. I’ve had it graded by PMG and it’s at a 65 so I have no idea why you guys your app keep saying there’s a two dollar bill it’s very upsetting and your robot that you guys have workingis just as silly. You guys need to work on getting this fixed

I wanted to test it, so I used a front and back photo of a rare solid serial number $2 dollar bill from one online that sold for $90K and it said that it was a common bill only worth between $2-$19 if it's uncirculated. This has been the same for every bill that I've scanned. It does read the serial number, but as far as anything else, not sure if it's accurate or just generic info.

It pretty much tells you what you already know about the money. It doesn’t do a very good job of identifying defects.

The Billie AI chat bot icon is in a particularly annoying place and I hit it by mistake often. There is no way to shut it off or move it.

Note valuations are unrealistically high but it does give some indication which notes should be presented to a real appraiser for accurate valuation.

I’m finding that NoteSnap doesn’t recognize the collectability of Fancy Serial Numbers… only that it’s a circulated note.
I use NoteSnap as a means of documentation for insurance reasons.
App value would be added if it incorporated a value recognition for FSNumbers.

Note snap has been VERY helpful by sorting and distributing my note collections. I love buying a new foreign dollar, and scanning it to see it’s details! However, as of one or two weeks ago, every time I scan a note, it will freeze up, and freeze my device. I have deleted and reinstalled NoteSnap multiple times now, even going as far as completely erasing every thing, but it still refuses to work properly. Please fix this mistake so I can resume my collection!

I like NoteSnap but it should have a valuation feature because that’s one of the main reasons I even got NoteSnap

Just started using NoteSnap , it’s very basic. it doesn’t allow the manual entry of bank notes, it would be nice if it would identify duplications entered. When you manually edit a serial number, there appears to be a limit to the number of characters. On the plus side you can export the data and manipulate it, taking the photos is very easy, and the bank notes it has in its database rather quickly.

Definitely one of the best, helps identify the bill and give you the value

Works well. Good at identifying a variety of bills. Can’t think of anything I would add to NoteSnap.

Easy to use

Great app to determine the value of paper money. I use several different apps by far. This is the best one I found and the most accurate for value.

Now I do. this app is perfect to help you put all your foreign and domestic bills together in one place and give you an idea what they could be worth. Still needs some work but it is the best note tracking app I’ve seen so far that has just about everything you want in an app that categorized money.

Not only is it awesome it’s easy I am elderly and I find it extremely easy to take a picture and I collect it and find out how much it’s worth. Great investment.
