This app is like if you bought an airline ticket, then you're told at the gate that you need to download an extra app to even board the plane, and then you find out that you can only use the restroom if you book a reservation through the app... only to find out no reservations are available. It's a terrible user experience because it feels like we already sunk the money into the tickets, so what more could you possibly want from us? The app creates more friction between the user and the experience. The events calendar is poorly organized, and the events are frequently inaccurate or simply don't exist once you're on site.
I understand that the app includes a COVID-19 waiver and a photo/video release, but those could have been pop-up agreements upon buying the ticket. This app is nonsense and, frankly, it disincentivized me from going.

We bought all star strips for the week and they refused to let us into the capital one play ball park without each adult downloading this app. Needless to say we weren’t the only ones, cell service didn’t work and it took 15min to download. Two screaming kids, multiply reset passwords and some 4 letter words we got it downloaded so MLB and capital one could capture our data and likely sell it. Whoever came up with this policy should be fired.

There is absolutely no reason this app needs to be *mandatory* for entry into the all star experience. MLB just wants all your personal info so they can send you promotional material to “enhance your experience”. It’s 2023–we have the technology for this to be in the browser without any downloads or registration required.
