i downloaded. was at the correct address. waited. he drove right past me (in TaxiMove it showed him driving) but he didnt stop. and just drove away. Could see his car on TaxiMove but i could not see any taxi and nobody that stopped to wait.
10+ min downloading over roaming data and setting up, and it failed in my moment of need with an error about inability to calculate cost. Just walked outside and hailed a cab in less than two minutes instead. Deleted.
My group and I tried scheduling a Taxi the night before to the train station with luggage and got no response from TaxiMove . We tried ordering one in the morning and the operator hung up on us twice. We even tried ordering TaxiMove and couldnโt get a taxi. We had to run to a train station 45 minutes away because this service is horrible. Do not use
TaxiMove is so inconvenient and unreliable. This type of service would never happen in america . It will tell you there are taxis a minute away and then you try to book and suddenly there are none. Then you try calling all the taxi numbers and the customer service people are also zero help.
Tried app, requested taxi, told would get reply within 5 minutes, waited. At 5 mins, it timed out and said no taxi! Tried this twice. No luck. Perhaps not fault of app but of taxi company, but as the promise of a seamless app to order a taxi in Italy, it did not work for me, hence low rank.
Terrible way to call a taxi. It failed saying no taxi available in Siena Italy and Pisa too. It is clunky needed an address number instead of a location. It's difficult to find how to pre-order a taxi. And hard to pay if you didn't call the taxi. It's better to use the phone. These towns need Uber!!
Seconding what fireaterNC said, consumers can tell when a longer route is taken. Not just that, but our driver under this company pressed the button to increase the fare during the ride 3ร. Scammers, sleazes, thieves have adverts for TaxiMove plastered all over the inside & outside of their cars.
There are plenty other Italian taxicabs to take.
Are you a tourist? Look no further if you love an app with ZERO reliability.
You cannot register if you donโt have an Italian phone number. Also, please donโt waste your time calling the number. Theyโll put you on hold with that horrendous music that makes you want to gouge your eyes out, then tell you theyโll be sending a taxi. Youโll then wait until tomorrow for the taxi that will never show up.
Your best shot is to go to a restaurant and request they call a taxi for you.
TaxiMove just does not work. I think it is set up to exclude Americans. Even when I called on the phone I could never get a taxi but when I had the hotel or restaurant call, sure enough there was one. I know a lot of Americans are awful people but I try to speak Italian and I tip well. My petty revenge is this
The phone number is horrible and itโs almost as if the operators donโt want to talk to you, and when i just tried to use TaxiMove , I was denied 5 times in a row, and stranded in the rain. They arenโt reliable at all and TaxiMove should not be used by anyone.
It took forever to get it to work to reserve a cab. I tried to ask a cab driver in person to reserve a ride to the train station, but he told me to use TaxiMove. It didnโt work. And then when it finally did, the driver cancelled on me 10 min after the reservation time.
The taxi was very prompt.
However drivers should be more aware that customers know the shortest route to their destinations. Our driver took the long way around.
I left my phone in London 14 right as I got out for the airport and he made sure to get it right back to me after we called
