I downloaded the app last fall and thought I was all set up to get the widely marketed free cookie on my birthday. I remember it asking me for my birthday when I created an account. Then on my birthday, I tried to claim the cookie and not only was I not able to get one because I apparently didn’t put my birthday in the “right” place but because I didn’t realize it until my birthday, I can’t get one at all since they require you to sign up two weeks before your birthday. Very disappointed, the birthday cookie was quite literally the only reason I downloaded the app. It’s a poorly designed app and a poorly designed program and yes I’m big mad about this stupid cookie.

The app is great, you don’t have to wait in line and can see what cookies are available and other easily. What is pretty bad is the rewards system. 1 point = $4.50 spent aka 1 cookie. If you want to win a t-shirt (arguably the best option), you’d need 65 points or to have spent $292.50 aka 65 cookies. Might not seem bad right? Well the shirt sells for $20.
That seems like a pretty poor way to reward a loyal customer who has purchased 65 cookies. I’d give this 5 stars if they revisit their rewards program to make it incentivizing for loyal customers (and make it make sense for customers!) or add in other ways to earn extra points - seems a bit impossible and greedy as is.
