Waiting for improvement

Currently started the free trial since it asks for a subscription first. So far it’s a good idea that needs improved execution. For one, some of the lessons aren’t fully functional at least with certain images or interactive images.

Secondly, there isn’t that many lessons…for now. Hopefully they add more to this but it’s very lacking and not worth the cost for $60 a year subscription. Now I could be wrong and there’s more once bought, however that’s not a smart move; let us see all of the content OR, tell us that there is more (or will be more in the future) after we subscribe.

Finally, it’s a lot of money to ask for as a subscription for something that isn’t continuously growing or giving back. Take notes from “Encode” (on App Store) to see a good product that knows it’s own subscription value without needing to add more to itself.

Not worth it, unfortunately

I enjoy the concept of Nibble. I downloaded it and took the intro quiz before getting to the subscription pop up at the end. I understand that most apps need to be payed subscription based to make money. But in my opinion, learning, education, and knowledge should be free. Even if it was a free based app with the option to pay for additional “features” would be better. But I immediately deleted for the fact that I can just follow similar accounts on other social platforms or watch super engaging and interesting videos on line, like TED or listen to a podcast. I wouldn’t waste your time, unless you are content with spending your money on mediocre content you can find all over the web— for free. No hate, just disappointed 🤷🏻‍♂️

A wonderful change from doom scrolling to (re)learning through an educational app

The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is I haven’t experienced it’s entirety. What a welcome change to the usual experience of modern accessibility to apps and games and killing time. I am reminded how much I have forgotten over the years with this app. Now, if and when I get bored with Nibble, only then do I play other games to pass my time. This one engages and entertains while sharing(or sharing again) actual knowledge, not for a candy crush or what have you.

Super basic lessons, not enough content or areas to study.

I was exited to try Nibble, and the lessons I have done tonight (several of them) are fun, but seem like an “intro to” the topic and only skim the surface of the subjects that they are associated with.

The content is majorly lacking. At the speed I am going through these lessons, there is not nearly enough content to last for the entire 3 months that I unfortunately payed for. I feel ripped off.

I don’t understand why there are so few areas to study, and so few lessons for each section? If you were to add sections for Music, the sciences, social sciences, language arts, poly sci, then it might be worth the cost. There is simply NOT enough content for Nibble to be worth any amount of money.

By

Love it but

I really love Nibble and it’s teaching method .I also really love the different topics you can learn about.I really love studying and being and to do so on the go while waiting on my phone is amazing.I do however think that it’s a bit pricey but honestly I think it’s worth it.

By

Not helpful

I tried it out, because the add talked about learning logic as an adult, which I think logic is a topic lacking in most university studies today and so I decided to download Nibble to gain more understanding and hopefully take a course on logic. After answering a bunch of pointless questions and being asked to pay, I closed out of the menu and was offered a free trial. I accepted the trial and found the courses to be lacking, in substance and most of the “logic puzzles” I already knew the answers to. Things like the game show paradox (where if you pick the first door then you should pick a different doo r when given the chance) or survivor bias. Basically shorter and less accurate TED talks which you have to read yourself.

By

Eh

I somehow missed that there was a free trial and ended up paying the money because I really liked the concept and wanted to check it out. Totally not worth the money. I would’ve been fine paying a few bucks to test it out but not as much as I was charged. The lessons are just meh, there’s nothing really interesting you learn. You definitely don’t learn anything about “logic” as a study, they just show you some articles about examples paradoxes and such. There aren’t even that many lessons to choose from and most are pretty basic concepts you learn in high school math.

I wish I would’ve read the reviews before paying. But oh well.

By

Don’t waste your money also keep track of charges on your bank statement

The ad fraudulently claimed that Nibble touched on scientific topics, which encouraged me to subscribe for the service. However, any content besides basic math, history, and arts is not available. On another note, keep track of charges from Nibble! I was charged multiple times for the service, and customer support is not easily accessible to mend the situation.

Update: customer service still has not contacted me, and when I attempted to disbute the transaction with my bank, Nibble claimed to “have provided the service advertised” … which is not true given the huge discrepancy between the ad for Nibble and the content provided!!

Be Careful When Signing Up for 'Free Trials'

Developers force you to try “a free trial”, after which you’ll automatically be charged for 12 months or 12 weeks before you even get a chance to see what Nibble is about and what it has to offer. Typical app that makes money by relying on you forgetting that you signed up for a free trial and that continuation costs $$$. I completed the questionnaire, but dropped off after the subscription window popped up - why would I share my card information if I don’t even know what Nibble has to offer? Common practice in mobile app monetization, but very scammy.

Developers can do better. Let people try Nibble before pushing subscription models on people.

Fun for both me and my kids

I almost never review apps, even if they are good. But I’m so impressed with this one, I need to assure others like me - on the fence about apps for pay, with bold promises.

I think the cost is very worthwhile for the value of the content. The lessons are quick, fun (and funny, the Egyptian section with the tweets between the gods made both me and my 12 year old chuckle), clever - and genuinely interesting. My kid and I will go through lessons together - it’s interesting enough to keep his attention, and I’m learning new things too. Not too advanced for him, or remedial for me.

I’ve enjoyed all the lessons - logic (the infinite hotel theory was great), art, math, and history. It is indeed much more enjoyable than doom scrolling.

I encourage you to take a chance, I’m hooked. Please keep the new lessons coming!

Not much content, variable quality

Given the hefty subscription, I was surprised by how little content there was. Of the content that was there, it was of variable quality. Art and Math seem the most polished, but there were many typos in the articles and some technical issues. History and personal finance seemed to have very few articles/topics.

It would be useful to be able to zoom in on pictures, particularly for the art articles.

For me, this may be worth coming back to later when there is more and better content.

By

Not enough content

I saw Nibble on Instagram and was excited to start the free trial, but was billed a subscription for a year after forgetting to cancel. “Oh well, that’s my fault,” I said optimistically, “At least I may learn some things from Nibble”. Fast forward 3 weeks later and I’ve already finished the art content, which was the only thing I downloaded Nibble for and what it was advertised to be. The lessons are interesting but shallow, and catalog is updated infrequently. If the content isn’t going to be detailed, this app should at least release more of it.

Best brain exerciser for my personality

I find that my days seem to be a blend of healthy routines, work and navigating the normal chaos of the day to day world around me.
Sometimes I find myself wanting to have mental self improvement woven into this tapestry of my life- this fits the bill… I’m learning that I have a lot to learn 😂. But this I can literally do within the time I may wait for a Lyft, water to boil, laundry to finish etc.💯

By

Quick enjoyable lessons

Rather than doom scrolling I decided to brush up on art and math. Wow, what a fun and interesting use of time waiting between meetings, taking a break from work and any other time! Really liking this app so far. Interactive enough, reinforces things I want to learn and is much more enjoyable than the news or social media! Do something good for yourself and give it a try.

By

I can’t go one day without Nibble

The creators and all parties involved have turned otherwise complex topics into quick and easy-to-consume excerpts.

Nibble is a great tool for continued learning in a plethora of subjects. Set a reminder and you’re learning on the go, over your morning brew, on break wherever whenever.

“Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it.” - Albert Einstein

By

Fun and bite-sized learning

Instead of aimlessly scrolling through social media, I gave Nibble a try. So far I’m enjoying engaging my brain and learning at the same time. Yes, there is a charge and I would prefer a one time charge over subscription. But I understand that everyone needs to make a living! Great app. I hope to exercise my brain and have fun at the same time.

By

Not like the ads

Based off the ads I thought this was going to be a fun trivia quiz game featuring various subjects like art, mathematics etc., basically the grown up version of Trivia Crack. However it’s more about enhancing your ability to learn and gaining knowledge on whatever subject you pick. Overall there’s nothing wrong with that but I wished it was advertised better because I was seriously disappointed after downloading it. Especially advertising it as a free app but then after you fill out their survey you have to pick a payment plan in order to even use Nibble .

By

It is a great app.

I really like this app. As of now (one week after using it) I've been finishing at least one lesson per day. I recommend it for older people like me (early 40's, that would like to revisit tooics that have been forgotten by lack of practice. It will help re-start those buried memories and be able to wrasp those old topics again.

By

Free to download, pay to actually use

Nibble looks really cool in the ads, and I was super excited to see that it was free and had decent reviews. It has you give it a bunch of information, but it doesn’t actually let you do any of the activities unless you pay a subscription fee. Sure you can get seven days for free as a trial, but they’re banking on you forgetting to cancel it because that’s the most expensive plan. It’s dishonest. If you want people to pay, just put that in the description instead of wasting their time.

By

Complete rip off

I was excited to try this app out, because I love art history and want to learn more. I was extremely disappointed to find that the selection of learning modules, which take about 5 minutes each to complete, is extremely limited.

There might be 60 five minute lessons in total. The minimum subscription term is 12 weeks, or 84 days. That means you get a lesson per day for only 74% of the period you pay for. And if you’re a sucker like me, and bought an annual subscription, you’re truly ripped off.

By

PAY WALL AFTER THE QUIZ

Okay so you spend money to advertise on Instagram. I finally decide idk f it I’ve been to a few art museums and would like to know a bit more. I download Nibble only to have to take a 25 intro quiz on my personality bc apparently I’m too dumb to just figure it out myself. Like I want to explore. What is with every app and needing quizzes and data and constant feedback. If you have good lessons then I’ll be more than happy to engage with that stuff after or you know optionally. Second, this developer puts the PAY WALL AFTER THE STUPID INTRO QUIZ. And WE NEED A SUBSCRIPTION OF COURSE. BECAUSE EVERY APP NEEDS THAT NOW. Like no I haven’t even tried it yet. I don’t know if your info is accurate or if your app is even entangling and you want monthly 4 dollars from me? I can’t subscribe to every single service it’s honestly so annoying.

Meh 🙁 disappointed and customer service won’t help.

Nibble sounds great. Unfortunately I couldn’t even take full advantage of it. Nibble constantly crashed after I payed so I reached out to their customer service and after three days they finally got back to me and their solution was to delete Nibble and download it again. Which I did but for some reason the purchase wouldn’t restore. So now I reached out to customer service again and they never got back to me. Now I got charged for Nibble and can’t use it and they won’t solve the issue or refund me the amount I payed. Very disappointed with Nibble and their customer support.

By

Disappointed data mining before telling you $$$

Ultimately, this is self explanatory. It isn’t clear Nibble costs money (albeit affordable) and Nibble post-download forces you thru a questionnaire to “help you understand your style of learning and content preference” — you’ll spend a few minutes giving them answers — before they tell you Nibble costs money.

The developers should know better (or they do and that’s why it’s set up this way). Allow access, give answers and provide data even if you don’t move forward with subscription.

Disappointing.

By

why should you pay to learn? [READ THIS BEFORE DOWNLOADING]

i put this at 5 stars so it won’t be buried by other ratings. i bought Nibble to burn time and help me learn more about my passion: art. in the beginning of getting started it was great , it had a nice amount of interactive questions for your learning path. then afterward it gave you the “option” to pay for a monthly/ yearly trial; and you can’t even continue on a basic course of Nibble , you HAVE to pay to use. so i’d recommend to read this before you download, if you want a app to help you reduce stress or for it to be a nice, free time consumer while also expanding your knowledge, i wouldn’t recommend Nibble.

By

Tech issues

- English is my second language . Some word’s still hard to understand and Nibble doesn’t let me to copy the words to look for meaning them .

- there is no option to see the details of the painting. No zoom in option. This is huge mistake for teaching art when students need to see details.

By

Great app

I am a very business like person with no friends or people i like to have business like conversation with; Nibble makes up for the productive conversation i could be having with other people.

By

It’s a PAID APP

There’s not “in-app” purchases. They make you take this long stupid quiz with like 25 questions and then they tell you that you have to pay to actually use Nibble . Can’t attest to wether Nibble is any good.

I might have given the short free trial a shot, but I don’t like when developers try to trick me. There is no free version except the short trial. And it’s a subscription app so it’s not a one time payment. #lameaf

Claude Monet

I learned a lot in the 10 minutes about monet. Nibble , graphics, content and interface are fabulous!

Effective and efficient use of time

I am Very fond of how easy Nibble makes learning something new.

By

Fun learning

Love how they chunk each section and make it enjoyable to learn. All the interactive elements keep it fresh and engagement, 10/10!

By

Unexpected charges and poor customer support.

I was unexpectedly charged for a yearly subscription and when I contacted support, not only did I not receive an update for weeks, the first update I did receive was that my case was closed due to high volumes of requests with no further help at all.

SCAM FOR YOUR DATA

Scam scam scam they just want your data and only tell you it costs hundreds of dollars per year after you give all your data thinking it’s a normal free account opening. SCAM DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR GIVE INFO

Excellent way to learn

Da Vinci

Excellent information
Super easy to remember

By

Disappointed

Truly a waste of time. Content is for high school students or younger.

By

Terrible

Do NOT under any circumstances pay for this waste of money.

By

Very cool

Saw this in an Instagram ad and said screw it what’s the worst that could happen. Turns out this is actually a really neat app! The lessons are interesting and designed well. I’m a big fan of the little interactive graphics they have too. Only problem I have with it is I think it’d be cool if you could zoom in on the pictures in the lessons, especially the art ones. It’d also be nice if once you completed a lesson it’d be removed from the “for you” section so you could get a better idea of what lessons you haven’t done already. Overall a very fun app that I will continue to use.

By

Pinch to SEE

I cannot pinch in to see any of the artwork which makes absolutely no sense! If you can’t see, how can you judge what you’re looking at. At a museum I can walk up to a masterpiece and see detail here. I have to screenshot it and then zoom in with two fingers, and this is something that I should be able to do on Nibble . I want to see!

By

Nibble uses deceptive practices

Not worth it! And when you do go to cancel, they display a deceptive question with two answer buttons:
Question: Are you sure you want to cancel your subscription?
One button highlighted in blue says: No, cancel. The other button, which is grey, say: Yes, I'm sure.
My first impulse was to hit the "No, cancel." button, since that's what I intended to do. But the correct button to push is, "Yes, I'm sure." I'm betting that this was carefully designed to mislead people and get at least one more month out of people who don't revew the wording carefully.

By

Nice App

I’m testing out the free trial right now. I didn’t expect the articles to be so succinct and intelligible. I’m an avid enjoyer of research papers or googlescholar articles, but those are usually about something very specific. It’s nice to learn broad concepts in a way that isn’t time consuming. Also, similar apps usually drag on their lessons. Good app, Devs 👌

By

This app is actually fun

I had my doubts about Nibble. I prefer to use my free time to play games on my phone. However, I love the way they teach and guide me. They encourage me to not be afraid to fail that failing is learning. I 100% recommend Nibble.

By

Not even remotely worth it.

Do not fall for the annual plan. Only subject I was interested in was art, I knocked it out in less than 3 days while on flights between cities. total time 5 hours. Very poorly structured, superficial lessons, that didn’t flow or tie in together in any way. Course material limited,

Several mistakes and contradictions.

I wrote support on Monday (today is Friday) to cancel and return my money, have not received any sort of response.

Cost of a dream

Dreaming big has been the driving force for many an innovation. But when large sums of resources become the byproduct, it’s time to wake up.

Word to the wise, know when to pull the plug.

By

Beats doomscrolling!

So often I am just scanning news and social media and it’s just exhausting. I’d escape by playing games but how many bubbles can you pop before going mad? This feels much better-

By

BEWARE YOU MUST PAY

extremely annoying 25-question survey to create an account for them to bamboozle you with the fact they are a subscription based app.

you DEFINITELY don’t need to pay to learn anything in this day and age.

I sincerely hope the developers will change the way they have set up Nibble . It’s more frustrating than anything and will make people be prone to write a bad review on principal.

By

Making learning interesting!!

I love Nibble. It’s worth the price for sure. Very informative and I love how they lay out the information. They Taylor it to how you want to get information as well.’

By

Eager to keep using

I skeptically downloaded this app late at night. I immediately was relieved after I e joyed the first lesson.

I just had my second and i can’t wait for my third

By

Shady subscription practices

This didn’t show up in my Apple subscriptions, got no warning that i even had an active subscription until after I was charged for a renewal — and then I had to create a password to log in to cancel.

From a curriculum perspective, the art, which I tried, was mediocre content — presented without context and out of order.

By

Customer support

I have tried contacting this app 3x due to the fact my app is set up to read all the content and I would prefer to listen to the content. I’ve received no response so have not been using Nibble as I do not want to sit down and read everything. I would rather listen, but this app will not respond to tell me how to change this!!

By

Easy to learn new things

this app makes learning new things quick and easy with clear and concise lessons and summaries.

By

Pretty cool app. It was easy to navigate and fun to learn

Very easy and fun way to learn ..so much better than doom scrolling on social media.

By

Predatory practices

I recently had the opportunity to explore the this app application, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. After dedicating a considerable amount of time completing a setup test, I was met with a surprise subscription requirement. This ranged from $10 to an astonishing $60. What's more frustrating is the inability to bypass this subscription prompt. There's no option to simply close it and proceed to use Nibble freely. This approach feels misleading. If an app requires payment or subscription, it's only fair for users to be informed beforehand, not after they've invested time and effort. This kind of business practice, where developers entice users into a subscription model with the hope they forget to unsubscribe, feels predatory. While I understand the need for monetization, transparency is key. Luring users under the pretense of a free experience only to hit them with unexpected costs is not a practice I can endorse. Many users, including myself, appreciate straightforwardness. If there's a cost associated, state it upfront. Don't make users jump through hoops only to hit them with hidden fees. It's about respecting the user's time and choices. I'm giving Nibble a single star, but if the option were available, I'd rate it negative five stars. Such practices should not be normalized in a society that values transparency and respect. Developers should prioritize providing value to users, not just extracting value from them.

SCAM I am a fool for paying for this app

BUYER BEWARE… you can’t get help canceling your subscription or getting into your account. My email address is wrong (missing the m in .com) and so I cannot get in to the settings to cancel the subscription. I’ve been emailing their support team for 10 days with only automated responses. I will have to ask my credit card to block the charge, as I don’t expect them to ever respond.

Beyond this, I’m generally embarrassed that I paid for Nibble. Like others, the long test did what it’s supposed to: Make me feel like I had already invested so much time into Nibble , i might as well pay $10 to move forward. The content it tailored for me could have been a two-second subject selection. The content isn’t useful or “brain busting.” It’s just general concepts by subject. You are literally better off doing a a journey through Wikipedia, clicking links from article to article. Booo.

By

Uninformative, Boring and Incorrect

At first I thought Nibble was meh. Most of the exercises were either boring or elementary. I considered buying the subscription for the art history lesson since I thought this was an easy way to expand my knowledge. Nope. I am unhappy to say I learned a lot of non-facts about Vincent Van Gogh and I question what other non-facts I learned about other artists. Nibble is disrespectful towards historical figures. Van Gogh’s passing is an extremely controversial topic and Nibble paints a certain type of narrative that I fell for until I watched the movie Loving Vincent. Van Gogh’s passing is a complicated subject matter and should be handled with more respect. Instead of baseless opinions, only the facts should be mentioned. Avoid Nibble unless you like being misinformed

By

Spend 10+ minutes just to pay big $

I think I downloaded this off a social media add. Did not realize there wouldn’t be a free trial or anything to see if I like it before subscribing. It had me spend 10+ minutes answering questions to ‘tailor’ my experience before showing me the only two payment options. It was a waste of my time. I agree with and appreciate the person who wrote the review stating the same frustration and gave it 5 stars to solely get peoples attention about this. However I’m so frustrated I don’t want to feed into their high star rating.

By

Wouldn’t refund my money

While Nibble was interesting, I found that I wasn’t using it, so I cancelled it at the beginning of a new term. I had reached out to the support a couple of time to get a refund but they did not respond, and of course didn’t return my money. That’s a terrible way to handle business, so I’m going to stay away from this company altogether in the future.

By

Great lessons!

If you like to learn, then this ap is for you! It has interesting lessons that can be short or long depending on what you like. It is a great way to keep your mind sharp. It’s like going to a mini museum on your phone. So interesting! I love it!!!

By

Subscription

I bought a subscription where I was to be charged a small amount monthly and by the end of the year it would total to $60. When I bought the subscription, the small fee was taken out for the month, about 8-9 days later it "expired" and then renewed itself for full price and I was charged $64. That was not was stated would happen when I made my intended purchase.

By

Unethical business practice.

Nibble is another one that provides their customers with zero communication prior to billing. I contacted them 7 minutes after receiving an email saying they had charged me asking for them to refund the charge. It took them one month to reply and, of course, they said no refund.

I think it is a poor business practice to be charging with no communication. How come they are able to send numerous emails, getting you to sign up or be engaged but not one to say “just a reminder, your subscription is about to renew”

I manage my subscriptions through my apple account but for some reason your app is handled through your website this left me (and no doubt other customers, in a state of confusion regarding the management of this account.)

It is a simple ethical and courteous practice to let the customers know before you bill them. I am very disappointed that this company chooses profits over any kind of customer care.

By

So far, so good

I’ve only been using Nibble about a day to learn more about art, but so far I find the information useful and interesting. The lessons are well-presented and many are interactive, which is clever. If my rating changes as I use Nibble more, I’ll be sure to update my review. But this far, I’m enjoying Nibble more than I expected I would.

By

Big fan!

As someone who kept googling for art learning and found that it rarely stuck, this is exactly what I needed. I just learned so much about Monet in just a few minutes and it was so fun! I’ve seen a lot of art in my life and it’s time to learn more about it all. Thank you this app!

By

I wish I hadn’t paid

I got it on sale luckily but I still regret my purchase. The graphics are fun and there’s some good stuff, but it doesn’t show me all the lessons. For example, in the beginning quiz to find my interests I said I was interested in Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, Israel, multiple ancient civilizations. In the history category, it gave me a decent amount on Egypt, like 5 Greece lessons (none of the gods or anything though) and 3 Rome lessons and nothing else. I have been trying to communicate with their support team, and they take forever to respond and don’t actually read what you say. In my message I provided this feedback (inability to see all lessons) and also asked how to see said lessons, and they basically just said thanks for the feedback let us know if you have any more questions without answering my question (and have still not responded when I asked again). It sounded so good in theory but not well done unfortunately. I guess I have it for the year but I definitely will not renew unless it gets exponentially better over that time.

By

Nice concept but they stole my money

I signed up for the trial on my Apple account and then got an email from them with a promotion for the yearly subscription, so I signed up and paid the fee. Well, there’s a bug and the only way to access my subscription is to delete Nibble every time I want to use it, redownload it, and select “restore purchase.” Even just having to “restore purchase” every time would be a big enough pain, but when I do that (without also deleting Nibble and redownloading it), I just get a blank screen and the learning modules never load. I emailed support, they advised me to…delete Nibble and redownload it, I told them I’d done this already and it didn’t fix the issue & they ghosted me. I followed up a few days later and still ghosted. I’m bummed I purchased the yearly subscription through them directly and not through apple, because now I have no recourse. I’d save yourself the money, times are tough and it’s not worth it to let Nibble developer steal your hard earned cash.

By

Not free

I downloaded Nibble from an add, went through the setup and answered the 27 questions to get to know my interests and learning style. After completing that I was met with from here you need to pay. I get all apps have some sort of “purchase” option somewhere along the lines but I didn’t think you wouldn’t be able to do ANYTHING on Nibble without paying. Very misleading and after reading other reviews, I see I am not the only one that was bamboozled. Sorry, not paying for something I know nothing about or how it works. The 27 questions are not enough to gauge how Nibble performs and there is no way I would be doing a free trial and risk a company charging me when they decide not to cancel the subscription. Hard pass. Downloaders beware!

Approachable learning on the go

I'm never one to pay for anything on my phone but I took a chance with this app seeing as I had nothing to lose apart from a few dollars. The ease of use and its tailoring to my learning habits had me in love within the first week of having it. Definitely worth a try for anyone who's looking to expand their common knowledge on any particular thing, even & especially those with a short attention span such as myself.

By

Avoid at all cost!

Nibble will lock you out of everything else in your phone until you agree to start the free trial then pay $90, and I mean everything! You will not be able to close Nibble , every time you try it just pops back up before you can touch anything else. You can’t even turn your phone. If this is what a business does to get you to sign up, I don’t even want to know what they are capable off.
What is worse, is that once you sign up, you can’t find Nibble on your subscriptions, so you cannot cancel the trial. All of this is obviously deliberate, no bug will check all those boxes at once.
Remember:
1 - it will block you from accessing other apps
2 - it will prevent you from turning your phone off
3 - it will force you to start the free trial and agree to pay $90
4 - it will not allow you to cancel in the subscriptions section on your phone.

I’m putting this developers name on every screen so I’ll remember to NEVER download anything from them.

Need to pay to use the app

Took the long test just to get a screen to say to pay. Yeah no I’m not gonna pay for something Idk anything about, I wanted to give Nibble a try for math purposes. So went the free route but the free route is just to have Nibble installed everything you select prompts with a payment option. Sorry but one star for me won’t be coming back on this.

Hey product team, make it known in the beginning that you need to pay for Nibble before you make someone do a long test or how about actually making this free app. Most of this data you can research online so you don’t need to charge people for it ( cough chat-gpt)

Personal info and pay to play

I just downloaded less than 3 minutes ago and discovered after filling out a survey, that not only was I forced to create an account with an email login but this is exclusively a paid subscription application.
I’ve learned my lesson on reading reviews before downloading and I now see plenty of other reviews complaining of issues cancelling after their free trial period. I am exhausted by the trend of companies hiding their fees and forcing continued payment in this way. If it’s trick from the first 5 minutes, then it’s definitely not worth the money.

By

Do not give them money.

I have been trying to contact this developer for weeks now. They responded to ask the account, I gave it to them and I never heard back.
They will take your money and make it impossible to cancel. I can’t even access Nibble because it times out, or when I log in online to cancel it times out, too. It just keeps saying to contact them. I reach out, as soon as they see I want to cancel, not even asking for a refund, they drop off. Do not risk your money, it’s not good or very educational. Spend your money on literally anything else.

Not Mindlessly Scrolling

Nibble has definitely helped me and my mindless scrolling on social media. I love being able to learn something new in just a few minutes, even when I’m just looking for a distraction. Highly recommended for those wanting to continue their learning.

I was excited about this but straight up and say there’s a subscription

I saw an ad for this application and was excited to see the options provided for me. Unfortunately, I was also met with subscriptions options before I could continue. The developers need to be up front about the subscriptions! I could have been a potential customer but you disappointed me in the end.

Great app

I saw an ad for this on Instagram and have only tried one lesson so far. I paid for one full month before even trying it and I’m so excited for future lessons. I only committed to about 15 minutes a day, but I will probably end up doing more than that based on the lesson I just did. So cute and fun. Thank you for making Nibble!

Art topic

I’m enjoying learning more about art in Nibble. My only complaints would be that if I leave Nibble in the middle of a lesson, when I come back I have to start all over again. It records my progress but it makes you start from the beginning once I come back to the lesson. Also I would love to be able to zoom in on the paintings to see the detail a little better. They do show “detail bubbles” on some of the art they teach about but it’s still not big enough to appreciate the details. For those reasons I deducted one star.

Bought to delete & review

upon reading reviews/responses i wanted to urge developers to practice what they preach and prioritize accessibility. Seriously, that’s a high asking price for a new, no name-recognition service, even if it is a cute name. Not even offering a free version, get serious! No one wants trials anymore, it’s twenty twenty four! This is a perfect app to utilize ad revenue, it ain’t the most classy but, everyone except elders have learned to cope with endless ads. it gives us thirty or so forced seconds to look away from our devices. It’s a wonderful idea and it looks very pretty but it really won’t go far with the current model. ………. edit: upon further review investigating, it appears it’s not even all that great of an app! can’t zoom in on paintings? doesn’t save progress if you app hop? typos?! i let the one in the quiz slip even though c’mon, it’s the first bleeping thing you see when you download! again, get serious! nice try, developers!

I love Nibble… but

I love Nibble! I am a huge art history nerd and it’s really helping jog my memory on a lot of details I’d forgotten. This being said I really wish the lessons were a bit more comprehensive. I know it’s supposed to be a this app of information, but I would love to be able to click on the name of an artist and be brought to a page that shows their art and give a brief biography. Seeing the names of several artists under a movement won’t help me commit them to memory, but being able to click on them to read more would. Also, it would be awesome if I could select key words to get a more specific definition. So it would be a this app, with the option to delve a little deeper.

$89 before I use it… no free options?

Yea, I get 7 days free trial, but only after I commit to paying $89 for the year first. I installed it. Went through the 27 questions for Nibble’s survey about how I like to learn (and other stuff). Wasted a good hunk of free time doing that. Then I got to the part where I had to make a profile/account with my AppleID - no problem there… then came the $89 window. I was really looking forward to trying Nibble and maybe paying for a month. But my goodness, I won’t be committing to this payment scheme before I’ve even opened the actual application. 2 stars… should be 1 but I’m afraid the rating system will hide my rating and I think people should read about what they’re getting into before downloading Nibble.

It’s what I didn’t know I needed

I wasn’t aware that apps like this existed. It has been such a refreshing replacement for doomscrolling on social media. I feel better off and walk with a lighter step after choosing to learn from this app. I’m happy to have found it, and quite frankly It’s a part of taking back my humanity from the algorithm of greed that is much too ingrained in typical social media.

Fact checking info shared on nibble app

Unfortunately Nibble provides opinions rather than facts on important aspects of history. It would be much better if information being taught is supported by citations and those citations are legit. For example, in the history lesson on the Pyramids, this app states that slaves were treated as artisans and were well-fed and drank beer. This is warped interpretation of history because it is a fact that there were different types of workers back then-slaves included. If people are learning history from Nibble, erosion of human existence will occur at an even greater pace then just with Tik-tok influencing our youth. Please fact check your information and think of consequences of how falsehoods can cause damage to society.

Beware!

This application doesn’t show your current period of subscription, if you made yours on a website. It doesn’t ask if you want to continue, it just automatically renews, and there is just a charge on your card, no email, no message, nothing. The team answers once in 3 months, due to “a high volume of requests”. This automatic subscription is not reflected in your list of subscriptions if you have an iPhone. You literally just need to read their terms of subscription word by word, and even if you have an app, you need to go on their webpage to manage your subscription.

So far so good! A must for those with ADHD and Dyslexia

It’s an essential part of my day. If you’ve been out of school for a few years and struggle with remembering old concepts and formulas from the past? This is the tool you need to freshen up and relearn everything that you may have forgotten from elementary school up to college. The lessons are really fun, interactive, straight to the point and well put together. I use it every morning to wake up and sharpen my mind before starting the day. I look forward to seeing the evolution

Surprisingly good, but room for ux improvement

I love the content, lesson structure, and tests of knowledge along the way. It really feels like i have an experience of Nibble that is curated based on the answers i shared during the onboarding quiz.

Nibble is definitely pricey ($90/year) and i will only know if it’s worth it once I have used it for an entire year and not run out of content . I hope they are always updating the content 🤞

I agree with another review that it’s super annoying to have to start at the beginning of a lesson if i don’t complete it in one sitting. it should be an option to start where you left off or start from the beginning (since there are benefits to doing that.)

It’s also annoying that the lessons I have already completed show up as top suggestions for lessons to complete.

I wish it were easier to filter what I have completed, what I’ve started, content I have never seen before, and new lessons.

Not enough content

Great content presentation for art but it is not enough to call it a course. I completed the art section in an hour. Would have gladly bought the subscription if the developers had a content plan in place but there is no promise for the lessons to be added. The existing lessons cover as little as 4 art styles and a few painters. The composition and perspective pieces were really good but there is much more in this domain which was not covered.

I disagree with the reviewers who complain about the information being too brief and basic - for me it was more important to get the canvas than being buried under a plethora of details. There are a lot of free apps where you can read about a select topic in depth.

Conclusion: the developers should have a content plan in each field (art history, math, philosophy etc) so that people know why they pay 90$ for the year subscription if the whole app content at the moment can be studied in a couple of days.

Early Days, but I’m impressed!

So far I am enjoying the bite-sized bits-of-knowledge approach Nibble uses. The learning concepts are presented with enough depth to make them readily accessible, even to someone with no prior experience with the particular subject matter, yet they are concise enough that, if you wish, you may easily follow up your learning on your own to obtain a more in-depth understanding. Nibble is fun to use and user friendly, a bit like having an interactive version of a highly distilled “for Dummies” book at your fingertips. Total Disclosure: I’m a huge fan of “for Dummies” books, which I often use when getting started on an area of inquiry with which I am unfamiliar. Nibble however is more focused and targeted than a book, which makes my progress much faster and enjoyable.

Skeptical

First off, I downloaded this initially because the ad said, “Learn Biology.”
Biology is not one of the offered courses.

Secondly, during the setup process, after choosing a plan, it goes from (hit this button to) “Continue” (or “Next” or similar) to the button suddenly adding a paid feature.
If you’re not super careful, you’re liable to end up getting charged another $20-$40 for “add-ons” you don’t want, with NO confirmation or, “Add this feature?,” check before it charges you, and it’s “not their policy” to refund “purchases made on our website.” It was via Nibble , not the website, but who’s counting?

I paid for three months and that’s fine (but had to contact paypal to get the other *way too easy to hit by mistake* charge back for a feature I didn’t want). I’m going to use it. The first section I did was interesting. But it is very unlikely that I’ll renew.

Things with Nibble are just a little too shady and suspicious; Bait and switch. Changing buttons so you buy things you don’t want by mistake. Refusing refunds for said mistakes unless you get a “higher authority” involved.

Not a great start. Nor a good look.
The content is interesting. But… idk. Use your judgment. Watch what buttons you’re hitting during setup. Yeah. Just be cautious.
This has potential, but something just seems… off, at this point.

Shady marketing and no customer support

I installed Nibble a couple weeks ago. Nibble makes it very clear that you will receive a reminder message to delete Nibble if you don’t want it BEFORE you are charged. I ended up not using Nibble as much as I thought I would, but when I want to cancel it, I found out I had been billed $90 the night before for an app I don’t plan to use again. $90!!! I NEVER received a message from them that I was about to be billed, not a text, not an email, not in my spam folder, etc. They do NOT provide the notice they promo. It’s been 5 days since I contacted their customer service and I’ve not heard anything back. This is exceptionally shady and disappointing.

A fun way to learn the basics!

I’ve really been enjoying Nibble actually, even though I was skeptical downloading something advertised on Instagram.

The learning style is pretty creative, using pictures, jokes and interaction to keep you engaged. I think it does a good job of teaching—relating subjects to modern times, and being pretty cheeky too. The lessons are just short enough, anything longer and I would start to lose interest.

Ways to improve:

I feel like the interactive/quiz parts are pretty weak. Most of the time it’s just multiple choice, or sliding a scale to reveal something in a painting. It would be cool if it offered actual quizzes after the lesson, along with the “important takeaways.” I was hoping to get a good art quiz, since I find it really hard to differentiate the artists.

I thought it was strange in one of my art lessons when they went off on a tangent about eco-warriors or the climate people who throw stuff on art. Like, we all get annoyed with those people, but is this really what I’m here to learn about? Felt like they were airing out their grievances in the lesson.

My only other critique is that sometimes the language isn’t quite right. It just doesn’t flow or make sense. For a minute it had me questioning if Nibble was made by AI or something.

Still, if you are willing to pay (not much) for Nibble , I’d say it’s very much worth it! Thanks to the developers

Enjoying & feedback

I’m enjoying the bite sized learnings on Nibble!

One feedback point for Nibble engineers - for lessons that I have already taken, those should no longer appear on the For You tab or be move to a bottom “Lessons Completed” section. They’re still showing up as recommended for me, but it doesn’t make sense since I’ve already taken them and it’s causing disorganization.

Disappointing and predatory!

I liked the concept of Nibble and so I thought I’d try it out. But I immediately found the content basic and oversimplified and canceled the trial subscription, or so I thought.

Then a few days later I got an email telling me I had been charged for a month subscription. So I went to try and cancel it yet again and asked support to refund me for the month I never intended to pay for. They told me they would not provide a refund, citing a clause from their Terms and Conditions. When I logged in again, my account was still “active”. So I tried canceling my subscription a third time. This time I was finally successful.

If you do get sucked into this thing and later want to cancel your subscription, you have to:
1. click a button to unsubscribe
2. click a second button to unsubscribe in a confirmation modal
3. fill out a feedback form and click a third button to submit that feedback
4. click another button to skip their offer to stay subscribed at a discounted rate
5. click a FIFTH button to FINALLY unsubscribe.

THIS IS PREDATORY APP BEHAVIOR.

If, like me, you close the page when the feedback form appears (which has no option to decline providing feedback), then you haven’t actually cancelled anything and will be charged again in a month.

The name says it all!

The concepts of each subjects are broken down into bight size nuggets of easy to understand bits of information. I think if you have a child or student who is having difficulty in a particular area or you just want to brush up on your skills from when you were in school this is an easy and fun approach to take. It allows you or your student to learn at their own pace without undue pressure from others. The cost is far less than a tutor and generally a lot more fun.

Sponsorship

Hey this app team; I appreciate you movement for making people more aware about the world and making them sharper rather than scrolling through social media;I have seen your add and it explains why and the motive; I am totally down with that;As a fellow human being who loves logic and reasoning I would have paid for the full experience but sadly i live in Ethiopia (Africa); And We don’t have payment system to facilitate the process;And I currently don’t have that amount to pay for Nibble ;If its okay with the team i would love if you grant me the access;
Other than that keep up the good work guys; May God Bless your work; And Have Salvation In The Name Of The True God Jesus Christ Our Lord And Savior: Amen My Beloved; ☦️🖤

They just want your money can’t even get a refund

I'm giving Nibble a single star, but if the option were available, l'd rate it negative five stars.

Paid For A Year- Total Scam

A lot of people seem to have a problem with the paywall they hit after completing the whole survey. I did as well but ultimately decided to pay for Nibble anyway, and took advantage of a deal to have a full year for a deal price.
I see this advertised constantly on my Instagram, it shows lessons about Greek gods and Biology and so many other things. It has about 10 lessons in History total. Aside from that they have art history, a couple lessons in Stats, a couple lessons in “Logic”, and some in personal finance.
I bought this a couple months ago, for a full year, but you could scroll through all of the content passively within a few days.
I thought maybe they’re new and they’ll upload a lot as time passes. It’s been a couple months, I think I saw one new lesson.
Also the “lessons” are not a whole subject matter, they’re a 5-10 minute scroll-through.

The fact THEY ACTIVELY ADVERTISE SUBJECTS THEY DO NOT HAVE CONTENT ON is just what it is- a scam, false advertising, whatever you want to call it.

Congrats to everyone who frustratedly quit at the paywall, I was not one of the wiser ones and actually paid money to see what they had. I hope no one else follows this path.

Unclear subscription renewal

I downloaded and subscribed Nibble when I was fully up for studying, but I quickly found that I was too busy to use it. Besides, the content was not what I expected neither. So I soon decided to cancel my subscription, but it didn't show up in my App Store subscription list. Almost forgot about it after three months, I just found that it charged me over 40 dollars this morning for the subscription. Apparently, when you subscribe on the website, it will not show up in Nibble Store. What's worse, it won't notify you ahead of time when the renewal time approaches. And certainly, you can not get refunded if you miss the renewal deadline. To me, it's not only too expensive for its contents but also very annoying for its cancellation policy.

By

Misleading, for more reasons than one.

I downloaded Nibble from the advertisements on social media—advertisements featuring lessons on biology, which is a primary interest of mine. Not only are there no lessons on biology, there are none on any field of science. I understand that the application is still in its early stages, and that the developers will likely add more subjects of education as the interest in Nibble increases, but the advertising was misleading, and therefore immensely disappointing.

Another issue that I had besides the very limited course availability was the subscription model. Generally, these kinds of apps have limited free content before you are prompted to subscribe to a yearly fee for additional access. Nibble has none of that; you are not even able to try out Nibble without signing up for a subscription, which was very disappointing. I believe that Nibble would have more success if it was not promoted as free to use, when that is so evidently not the case.

Overall, I believe it is a very interesting and useful concept that has been poorly executed. Instead of immediately prompting the user to subscribe, the developers should offer a free variety of lessons to hook the user on Nibble . I would love to try this in the future if it is made more accessible and the variety of subjects is increased! :)

Do not get sucked in by their service. As you see from other reviews, your cancelation will be a nightmare. And no, there's no mobile app for Android. My subscription was canceled weeks in advance and they billed me the following month. After emailing them, they told me they just canceled my subscription and will not issue a refund. Can your bank if you have a subscription. They will steal from you
