StormTracker 6 - Weather First Reviews

I upgraded to the latest version a few days ago. Big mistake! Layout changed greatly, mostly to put ads front and center. Yes, now several sub-screens have a blinking/ flashing 1/2” bar in the middle.
Large button bar at the bottom, instead of smaller hamburger menu. Just wastes space on my already small Mini. A re-design for no good reason.
Also, whenever I update StormTracker6 it turns verbal warnings back on, also iOS pop-ups about trivial weather or “rainy weekend ahead”. Of course the verbal alerts only go off at 4AM.
Really I was surprised how good the previous versions were! I would have gladly paid $5 to turn off ads. I would say they have paid paradise and up a parking lot here.

The Apple weather app has been getting better, maybe one more version and it will be all I need.

If you are like me you are affected on a daily basis by the elements. I am a truck driver and also own a small farm. I HAVE to have an accurate forecast to plan my days. NOT HERE! Since I am rarely near a TV I rely heavily on video forecasts of local weather. You can get that here-MAYBE. The video portion rarely works and when it does the forecast is days or WEEKS old NEVER WORKS ON WEEKENDS NO MATTER HOW MANY TORNADOES THERE ARE. Save your life choose a different app!

Whatever you updated, you’re pulling in too many graphics at the same time & now you have a lag, or it freezes. Wasn’t much of an update.

I like StormTracker6 , apart from the ads that they stuck in the middle of the daily forecast tab.

Dumped your app after the last update. If I want to see a video, I’ll load it myself. Fail.

Mainly downloaded for the maps because I like them so much on the wlns news app. But for some reason the maps on the two sites are two different animals. This one has past layers on it and if it does happen to refresh, any rain or storms shown are completely different from any other weather maps. I'll keep it around for a while to see if they fix it but will dump it soon if they don't.

When trying to navigate, StormTracker6 is not very responsive at all to touch. I have to hit whatever target I'm touching several times. Freezes up a lot on open. Also, EVERY time I open StormTracker6 I see a "...push alerts can be customized in the settings..." notice that I have to close before using StormTracker6 .

StormTracker6 is useful and easy to use 😊

I use to really like StormTracker6 because it would alert me with a sound if we had storms on the way. Now that I have a iPhone 4s the sound alert doesn't exist. App DEFINATELY needs some updates - nothing has been done since 2013!!

The old app was not very helpful, but it did run. This one crashed.
The weather on the 6 news app is better, and it works.
I keep hoping. (silly me)

StormTracker6 is INCREDIBLE !!! Accurate, informative, a big variety of alerts.. Good bye Weather Channel app
I LOVE THIS !!

I love StormTracker6!! I love the fact that the radar map is actually pretty accurate. Only, for some reason, the map function seems to not be working now that I updated my phone to iOS 7. Is there a way to fix this? I really want to continue using StormTracker6 as I really like it! It worked fine before I updated my phone, but now it glitches and the radar doesn't show up correctly.

With the latest update, StormTracker6 no longer redraws the radar map worth a darn. Now a real disappointment. Hope they get it fixed.

I've dl'ed and deleted dozens of weather apps because most of them are basic, the rest are useless. This one, aside from the ubiquitous ads, is absolutely the best. Our local station nailed it!

StormTracker6 froze and never would show the radar. I watch 6 news and hope it is fixed.
