This is my go to for Hue lights... the candles preset in particular is among the best youll find out there in Hue apps. Play with the max brightness to bring more ambient light in. The price is no issue Im surprised to see somebody complaining. My only complaint is I see no obvious way to save my presets (without overwriting the current) Also the animations seem to stop after certain amount of tine, again with no obvious controls or fix. Bluetooth works fine and music is being sent simultaneously without issue (again I saw another review complain must just be their phone or version) what we need is a basic one page instruction sheet of sorts

I have pro version of HueParty, it has cool features and I enjoy it, however things such as the audio visualizer, and even the timed lighting modes require you to stay on HueParty which is extremely annoying. By this I mean for instance if you are using the timed theme or the audio visualizer and you try to check a message on your phone or anything that requires you to leave this particular app, even locking your screen the scene stops and will only continue when HueParty is reopened. The microphone mode is also annoying because if I’m connected to speakers and try to use it it makes the music play out of my phone instead. HueParty has potential but needs massive updates.

Hi Team, I really enjoy your app and it adds fun to all my party. However there used to be a strobe effect which you have removed with updated version. Can you please add that back??

I would really appreciate a refund for this garbage app. I downloaded and paid the $6.99 because without paying the $6.99 you can only control one bulb but that didn’t even work. Shame on me for believing the paid version would work better. I cannot connect HueParty to my bridge to control my lights. Even if I could connect to the lights the user interface is just garbage. Selecting options is very clumsy and while clicking around HueParty it must have asked to rate and review HueParty 20 times. Here is your review. Lucky for the developers their is no option for 0 stars. I’ve rarely felt this ripped off by an app purchase!!!

This is the best app I have tried for the 12 bulbs I run in my bedroom and bathroom. I love the Flow feature which allows you to transition random colors across all bulbs slowly from one color to another. I have been using HueParty for years and it also works on my Mac also. I think it is worth the money, straightforward, and easier than other apps to just get everything setup and running quick.

I use the after party mode to sync to music for dance party’s with my kids. It’s a lot of fun!
The other scenes are nice to have as ambient light effects.

Note: if you’re wondering why the lights are dim. Go into the setting on the main page (gear icon) and you’ll see a master brightness controller called “scenes brightness” crank that up and you’ll have bright lights

For an app which is driven by colors and contrast, there does not seem to be much consideration made to the contrasting effect to white text witin a light background within the apps controls. On my iPhone X, some of feature controls appear locked, although the presets do work, they are not really strikingly executed.
QUESTION: is there a way to transition all Hue lights in the same group as well as within all groups through their spectral colors simultaneously such that all lights are sane color coordinated during their color trabsition?

It seems to have a deep control set but after spending 10 minutes with it I couldn’t figure out how to do simple things like cycle through the color spectrum. If it were a free app and only offered the basic presets, then it has accomplished that well. However, it seems to want to allow the user to create any animated light sequence they can think of. If this feature worked well, then it would be well worth the $7. As it is, there is a lot of work needed.

HueParty is great for changing the lights and making a good atmosphere...

But the phone has to be open to HueParty and must be unlocked for the lights to continue to perform. It would be nice if they would continue when the phone is locked. Also another upgrade that would make HueParty stand out is the beats portion would be much nicer if the music could still be played through external speakers rather than needing to be played through the phone.

The free app on the computer from hue is way better.

I was trying to find one for Apple Music for my iPhone and after a few other ones I tried this one.

Light show in itself was super boring and wasn’t really going w the music well (at least the tracks I tried, tried songs in different languages as well).

The thing that really killed this for me was how glitchy it is and how you need to have HueParty open for it to do anything other wise it just stops.

I don’t mind paying for pro version but after seeing other reviews saying the same problems occur in paid version I’m not upgrading it and deleting HueParty .

I don’t even leave reviews but I’m doing so in this case so that the devs can get their ducks in a row and make an app actually worth buying instead of this half assed thing they 💩 out.

It just says connecting, then shows the settings like it’s connected but goes right back to connecting to bridge. iPad is up to date. WiFi and Bluetooth are good. Works fine on my iPhone X.

When connected to my iPhone X, if I get out of HueParty to look at something else, the lights just stop moving. Which is why I wanted to put it on my iPad so I could use my phone and the lights would keep moving.

I also cannot restore purchases on the iPad from HueParty.

I had bought HueParty a long time ago (about a year) and after using it for like a week I upgraded it. Then I went on a vacation and had no time to use it and Then I came back to use HueParty for a party and I go to select 4 lights and it tells me to upgrade for 7$ when I had already paid the 4.99 (which it was before) and now it downgraded me to the basic version again. If there is a way to get my 5$ or HueParty back please let me know...

I downloaded HueParty asks paid $6.99; however, Phillips Hue keeps saying connecting. Then for a half a second, add lights and reset bridge shows up, but the buttons are unresponsive. I’ve reset my phone, deleted and readded HueParty , and I’m on the latest iOS. I have ensured that my phone is touching the bridge, so that is not an issue. I’ve had my Phillips setup for about 5 months now without issue.

Please refund me my $6.99. This is a very bad experience.

Love HueParty and all the presets, but whenever I have music playing from my Bluetooth speakers, HueParty glitches and stops playing the music from my speakers the minute I try to use another app or essentially have it on in the background. It just plays the music from my phone. So it’s a little frustrating trying to use it while you have music playing.

You can’t have presets know what lights to activate
Presets don’t remember what settings to stay on after closing HueParty
You can’t have different rooms on different presets at the same time
No Alexa integration
I wasted my money.....unless they step their game up

HueParty definitely has the features that I want (customizable color ranges and short change intervals for an aqua effect) but oh my is it annoying that you can’t leave HueParty without the colors stopping! If you get a message, get a phone call, etc. the color setting will pause. I almost bought the full version until I came across this. If they can fix this, I’M IN!

Please make it so when you lock your phone or close HueParty the lights stay changing if you have it in afterparty mode!! I want to upgrade to the full version but I would want to be able to leave HueParty ! Other than that awesome !!!

HueParty started out amazing and so I bought the full version which was supposed to include the full version for my Mac. I haven't been able to get the full version to unlock on my Mac with restore purchases and the lights get really glitchy when you're controlling 3 or more. They get stuck sometimes and are slow to respond. This is the only app that makes them behave this way though

I have never wrote a review for an app until today ! HueParty has the potential to be useful unfortunately it fails because it keeps disconnecting my phone from Bluetooth speaker and I can’t leave HueParty or the lights will stop! An app like this needs to work in the background so I can change music! Also if you force close HueParty the lights will keep going on and off.. Frustrating to say the least. I hope they improve it

When you turn of a light and de-select it, it still turns on. We saw the “remove unreachable” button so we made the lights unreachable in hopes that we could remove them to keep only the group we wanted, still didn’t work. You’re charging money for a broken app, this thing might as well be a scam. Wish I could give it 0/5 stars

I love HueParty because it worked instantly and it looks amazing, I don’t know why Phillips hasn’t done this. I am giving it a 4 because of that one issue.
