especially with the new update that translates the entire image at once, 百度翻译英语学习必备 is so useful. I can take a screenshot of a website and quickly find out what it says. I wish I had known about this before I paid for the live translation feature on Pleco

百度翻译英语学习必备 is (was) really good, and was my go-to translation app for many years in China. I rely on it to translate English into Chinese, which I can then paste into other apps (such as taobao). For some reason the latest version removed the “copy” button for easily copying translated text, and it’s not formatted well to do a long press, drag and copy (which wouldn’t be as convenient anyway).

Still a good translator but that loses half the functionality for me, so I will be switching to another app until it is fixed.

This most recent version freezes my phone constantly. Even when I minimize 百度翻译英语学习必备 the home screen also freezes. My phone freezes every time I use 百度翻译英语学习必备 . At least two or three times before I’m able to finish translates. The off-line translation doesn’t work. And when translating photos like a screenshot all you must swipe the screenshot away before using the import image button. All iPhones place the screenshot at the bottom left. So why don’t you move the import button already. It’s just lazy programming. And last the interface changes you guys have made only make it more difficult to use.

百度翻译英语学习必备 was beautiful and worked great, but recently with the new update it no longer makes it possible to view translations in Pin-Yin. It used to be, that when you would enter a few characters in Chinese to be translated from "Chinese to English" it would give you the translation in English. Then if you reversed the options "English to Chinese" with the characters still in place, it would show you the Chinese characters and also show you the pin yin. Now there's no way to see the pin yin!! I was using this everyday to study Chinese. Now it is completely useless without allowing me to use the Pin yin as an aide. SO DISAPPOINTED. SO FRUSTRATED.

Prior to the latest update, copied text would appear immediately, when the "Enter your text..." field was selected. This made it very easy to translate text copied from another app, or to "back translate" (I always check my Chinese translation by translating it back to English).
Please restore this critical function 🙏 While it is missing, I'm using less preferable apps. But at least they don't require as many actions to translate copied text.

It’s very FAST the moment you need to translate something. Unlike the other popular translation app (in red color), baidu doesn’t show you no crap before letting you translate something. Hope baidu developers can keep it up!

I’ve been using 百度翻译英语学习必备 for years now, and it’s great. With the new update however there is no pinyin. Or if there is, it’s nowhere I can find. They’ve basically changed 百度翻译英语学习必备 so it’s only good for chinese-speakers, whereas I am an English speaker who wants to know how to say things in Chinese.
I’ll give this five stars when you add pinyan back! It’s a great app otherwise!

This is a great app for photo translation. I frequently screenshot and use the photo translation feature. However, the screenshot fills the whole screen, and the very top and bottom cm of the photo are unable to be translated because 百度翻译英语学习必备 interface blocks it. If photos could be resized to account for that, like in photo editing software, 百度翻译英语学习必备 could be a 5 Star app.

First, to all of the English speakers, the GUI is in English. Yay! Second, I personally prefer this over Google Translate. I find the translations to be a bit more accurate and I appreciate the breakdown of simple one-sentence translations to help me better understand Chinese. Great app!

I’m trying to learn mandarin and I find this to be munch more accurate than google translate and they have articles to read

When I use this translate,if I need to translate some hard or long words it will say:”check your internet it’s not working”but my internet is very good!And sometimes it’s translate to you some wrong words!!!

Today to my shock, the latest update removed the Chinese pinyin (with tones, no less) that they include with the Chinese translation of SINGLE words. It was one its greatest features! Now, it’s useless! I have no idea how to say new Chinese words now!

When Chinese to English translation goes bad in WeChat, use Baidu to discover what was really written. No more communications breakdowns!

But please TURN OFF AUTO FLASH ON CAMERA MODE!

I use this to translate a lot of screenshots from my phone. So I open 百度翻译英语学习必备 , click the picture icon which opens the camera first. If it’s too dark it **automatically** turns on the flash. And then you have to hit the next button to open up a saved screenshot or picture.

So if you’re in a dark place and want to translate a screenshot it will automatically turn on the camera flash as you try to get to the right menu

Sitting on a dark bus, sitting at a dark restaurant. Does it seem like a good idea to have your phone flash like it’s taking a picture when you’re not paying attention to where it’s pointing. Terrible design. If it want the flash on I’ll turn it on

There is either an error with 百度翻译英语学习必备 sometimes crashing when using mixed script (Greek, Korean, and Latin).
Otherwise, the AI appears fairly good, even at recognizing abbreviations. 百度翻译英语学习必备 is overall very good.
