This is a scam. $3 for augmented reality crap youโll never use and... not much else. The maps arenโt interactive so you might as well stick with the paper map.

Next to no information is accessible in the free version. If you pay to upgrade it gives you a brief overview of each section of the museum, but definitely not a thorough guide to individual works. Donโt bother.
Every time I tap on a photo to access a section of the content, it went straight to the purchase screen. The free app provided only a few photos of the outside of the building. Anything else you gave to pay for.
Paid the 2.99 and LouvreMuseumVisitorGuide still wonโt let me in all the different sections. Still claims Iโm on the free version. Very deceiving if you have to pay 2.99 for every section. Thumbs down!
The free version of LouvreMuseumVisitorGuide is basically a table of contents and every time you click on something they try to get you to upgrade to the paid version. There is nothing useful in the free version and just ends up being a frustration.
Literally even the most basic info, like museum hours and location, is hidden behind the paywall.
I have no problem paying for an app that st least has the basics free and charges for premium functionality, but downloading LouvreMuseumVisitorGuide is going to be a waste of your time since nothing works without paying. Please take note and donโt download LouvreMuseumVisitorGuide.
I was in a hurry entering the museum and saw the signs to download their app. Searched in App Store and this came up first so I grabbed it without noticing itโs not official. Anything past the introduction requires a purchase. Cheap so I did it (Still not catching on to point itโs not official). Really weak info, no navigation help, and the WiFi in the louvre is spotty causing my phone to switch to using data without me realizing it. Super frustrating

Good details and text about some aspects of the history and paintings but not well organized, incomplete/patchy and not capable of finding paintings on a map. Also, they use generic Louvre pictures for some painting descriptions probably because they don't have copyright access to a photo. Not worth the price.
I love the love this place but wished there was more kid oriented activities so the younger generation could grow up with curiosity and exploration. Know where civilization has evolved from is a cornerstone for all youth in my opinion. Again people should encourage bring young kids and tours should also appreciate instead give a stink eye to kids asking questions from their parents.
