ADDitude Magazine Reviews

ADDitudeMagazine is supposed to be a reader for present and past print medium. It is chalked full of ads. It is also designed by lesser skilled programmers as they have failed to follow and incorporate some critically important iOS standards that make iOS apps behave, look, feel and operate similarly.

This makes for a completely frustrating experience. If the irony of this isn’t on the radar of ADDitude then I have some stiff words for their lack of basic awareness. Other developers have made magazine readers and found success with their audience. Wake up and pay attention.

The articles are increasingly basic and not enlightening in terms of keeping up with the current landscape of ADHD/LD research. It is largely information that is generally known to most or a quick Google search away. Their content used to be helpful to the reader. Now the balance strikes heavily in favor of quantity over quality.

There are currently better resources online to keep up to speed with ADHD/LD. ADDitude used to be one of those but that is no longer the case. I still thank them for past quality contributions. But they’ve fallen behind and aren’t aware of it yet.

Accessing anything with ADHD is that much more difficult. This makes me want to throw my phone. It does not let me login to access my subscription - with email, without, doesn't matter. 👎🏼

It wouldn't be so bad if only the developers didn't put it on ADDitudeMagazine store labeled "FREE" then I after downloading it find out I need to pay 20$ for a subscription! That is as low as those stupid developers that add in-app purchases in games and app one has already bought!

Back to the point, it's NOT free, next time be honest about that!

I contacted company and they try to buy app again, but iTunes will only let you subscribe. They basically stole my money. Shame on you guys! There is other reviews that say this but I bought ADDitudeMagazine a couple of months ago...I didn't think they would rip me off...but they have no intentions of giving me a refund...please fix and I will change my review.

Although I am interested in purchasing a print subscription which comes with free access to ADDitudeMagazine (for the same price), I cannot through their website. It glitches. I bought ADDitudeMagazine for $20 and it does not come with the printed magazines. Only a virtual newsstand subscription. I gave up on the whole ordering a print subscription (which I would like to stress costs the same amount of money and you get both- print AND digital). So anyways, I get the digital version, but you can only access the most current magazine even though all of their back issues show up in ADDitudeMagazine . They only have four publications a year, so when O am done reading my one digital magazine I will have no use for ADDitudeMagazine until the next issue comes out next season. What a waste of $20 for sure. If you decide you want a refund you have to go through Apple which is a near impossible feat to get your money back. I would suggest just using the free website that the magazine offers instead of wasting your money. I wish I knew all of this before wasting my time and money.

Worthless. Can’t open purchased content and it won’t get out of the pay screen. Criminal and a rip off.

The idea of having mobile access to the magazine is amazing, but it literally won’t function. I can’t download anything.

I can read the articles on the home screen but can’t log in so I can’t get any subscriber content and can’t read the current magazine or find back articles.

I have also subscribed only to find that I can't access the magazine no matter what I do. Contacted the support people that facilitate the service and they have given a couple of suggestions, but I'm still not able to utilize the subscription. Hoping this can be rectified quickly.

Crashes a few seconds after opening when downloading magazines. Almost useless.

I love the idea of accessing the back issues of the magazine, but I can’t actually access the PDFs because ADDitudeMagazine crashes every single time I try to open one. There’s no point to ADDitudeMagazine . :(

I need the information in this magazine (for obvious reasons) but I cannot download even one issue because it crashes continually. I deleted and reinstalled ADDitudeMagazine but the problem remains. This would be an amazing app if it actually worked. ADDitude: FIX ADDitudeMagazine.

Wow! A news app designed to be used by people considered “Neuroatypical”. Nice idea. Unfortunately, ADDitudeMagazine has the design and UI flow of an archaic HTML site from the 1990s. Needs a top to bottom reworking (imho).

The fact that the reviews here are largely negative and years old makes me want to end my subscription.

I like the magazine so much that I paid for a digital subscription to access back issues. App does not work! I’m good with computers and phones...it’s not me it’s is app. I see all the other negative reviews of ADDitudeMagazine . Why have you guys not fixed this or removed ADDitudeMagazine from the store. This is not a responsible thing to do with your brand/product. Get it together guys.

This is singularly the most frustrating app I have ever tried to work with. Notice I say tried to. Even the tutorial is awful. New Hope Media, what were you thinking??? 😥

Took me for 19.99 when tried to buy issues for 1 year it won't even restore. I want a refund ASAP.

App always crashes on start in iOS 11. Leaving this review to encourage maintainers to address this. 5 stars it were usable....

I, as an adult, have really been blessed by ADDitude Magazine. Don’t see why others have not given it a 4 or 5 star rating because it’s detailed, very comprehensive and so informative!

Just purchased this magazine and love everything about it already

App is great. I'm a subscriber tho so I'm not sure what the standard free app is like.
