OK for what it is

Given the generally poor quality expected of NPR affiliates, KUER's frustrating performance is almost bearable, though at times I have an impulse to throw my phone; like when I notice that the connection always begins with an advertisement (now routinely included in "non-commercial" programming) and that the ad always works, though often no program follows and I have to struggle to get what I came for. It's a demonstration of the pecking order of capitalism, with the best content on the bottom, poorly presented, the LDS station better presented but fraudulent, and pure commercial entertainment vacuously on technical top.
Difficult app

NPR is a great network and resource with 5 stars. I rate the KUER app one star which I find detestable and frustrating, especially when I am transitioning from the car radio to my smartphone. The app ads take too long to reach the actual programming. On too many occasions I cannot get past the ad which locks in place. I then have two options, delete the app and down load it again from the app store or, switch to my Phoenix NPR app and listen to that station. I do not have a similar problem or delay with the Phoenix NPR app.
Like the content, not the app

I am a huge fan of NPR and KUER but I’m so annoyed that every time I push pause on this app I have to listen to a commercial in order to get it to play again.
