Aweful....terrible....glitchy...poorly made...not worth the money

Wow

Game won't even load!

Really!

Frustrating and could be much much better. Crashes frequently. Game play needs a ton of improvements: 1) distance and accuracy controls are too small, too difficult to be consistently accurate, and at times are not even viewable if you are on a hill or near a tree or similar obstacle; 2) Accuracy is SO random it's hard to want to keep playing. Even with points towards better accuracy, it's as if there's none at all; 3) Game play around the holes/chains is so unbelievably difficult. This needs to improve if there are plans to build and maintain a steady stream of gamers. As it is, it's way too difficult to hit the chains just right. I like a challenging game, but I'm really being deterred from playing more because it so difficult to make get shots in, even when 2feet away, never mind 20 feet or more; 4) even when you hit the distance and accuracy controls dead center, it still doesn't do what the pre-shot display trajectories lead you to believe it will do. If I'm going to want to keep coming back to play, there needs to be a lot of overall improvements. Maybe the objective was to put this game out asap to make a profit. Hopefully that's not the only concern, time will tell.

Ehhhh...too many screen freezes and too many in-app purchases needed

Not worth the money based on the game in general. I thought I'd get to just have extra holes that aren't in the free version. The in-app purchases for disc packs is ridiculous being that you can't select discs to play with without it. You're basically $4 in just to start playing, and like I said, the game in general isn't worth $1.99 to begin with. Hopefully, someone will develop a better disc golf game asap. The game also constantly freezes and crashes. It's an absolutely horrible game all around. Can you please fix the game so I can actually play it and feel like I'm not completely wasting the $4 I spent total??? DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!! If you ever get to actually play it, you'll find that it's absolutely horrible. I'm assuming all of the positive reviews must be employee of the company who produced it. Giving it 1 star was being nice. Writing this part over a month after my initial poor review - HEY, A$$HOLES!!! FIX THE GAME, PLEASE!!!! THE GAME HAS BEEN FROZEN ON THE MAIN MENU FOR OVER A MONTH NOW!!! FIX THE PIECE OF $H!T GAME!!!!! LAZY D-BAGS!

Really enjoyed this game until...

No game is perfect. Many have glitches, ads and room for improvement and this game is no different. I love disc golf so downloaded this game several months ago to pass time. For the most part, it's pretty realistic! It's been entertaining and I've looked past the little things...UNTIL I placed 1st in the tournaments!!! Once this happens, YOU CANNOT GO BACK OR CONTINUE PLAY until you pull out your wallet AGAIN! I coughed up ANOTHER $1.99 yesterday (3rd time on DiscGolf3D) to buy another course. I beat the second course in 30 minutes now can't even throw a disc in practice mode without buying more $|-| i+!
Call me cheap, but I feel if a person throws $6-10 on an app, they should be able to play it until they die.

App designers...

This game is one of my favorites and I "sold" DiscGolf3D to friends as a "worthwhile purchase". I hope you reconsider your business plan and make the appropriate adjustments.

Needs a LOT of work

To start i'll say this is a very good beginning for the almost non existent disc golf game app. Now the bad. Obviously made by a team that struggles to knows what disc golf is. Wether they play or not is debatable considering the courses are ball golf courses not disc golf courses and you select "clubs" not discs. The graphics are appalling, barely readable text and constant glitching of your character leave a lot to be desired in the visual appearance department. Gameplay is relatively smooth and I didn't experience crashes or long wait times like some other users but the physics are only slightly better than the graphics. To make this game better there needs to be a less cluttered, button crazy screen, and far better graphics.

Not bad

The game is an improvement from past games of the sport. The putting really holds it back from being a great game. Putting is difficult in real life so it should be difficult in the game. The problem is the putting feels out of my control. Give me a more difficult putting meter or some sort of challenge that determines a make or miss. If I miss I want to know it was because I messed up as opposed to the game just randomly missing putts.

A step in the right direction

Not a bad game. I didn't experience any of the crashes that I read from other users, but don't take the game too seriously as the close range putting is still broken. Expect a 3 to turn in to a 7 if you land under the basket. No clear definition of what the "Spin" attribute does. I'd like to see more realistic flight paths based on how hard the discs are thrown. Potential, but it's not quite there yet.

Needs tweaks

This could be a great game if a few things are fixed. Putting is a joke...if I'm right next to the basket there is no way to throw it in, I keep hitting the bottom and bouncing off 10ft. There should be a "gimme" if you are within 2 feet. The game keeps crashing for me on the second qualifier event after finishing the 3rd hole. Also it would be appropriate to change the "fade/draw" to "Hyzer/anhyzer" hopefully they fix this game soon because it could be a lot of fun.

Great concept

The idea of this game is awesome, on the other hand it lacks certain specifics. Putting is extremely hard, if you're on the green I think there should be a different view and mode all together. With different pin placements (which is awesome) the flyby of the hole doesn't always show what you need to see, which is really frustrating! All in all, love the game, but that's just because I love disc golf...make some improvements and I'd pay much more than what you're asking.

Alright

I just like disc golf......its ok

Best on IOS

Fun, but still major room for improvement. 1. Technical - I have the first gen iPad Mini, and I've never had a game crash as often as this one. 2 - Technical - It also drains the battery as much if not more than Infinity Blade. 3 - gameplay. Putting is atrocious. With experience, you can kinda get ok at it, but it always seems like a crap shoot. What's sorta working for me - pay attention to the elevation of the basket, and unless it's down severely, increase the loft by 2 or 3. Also, stop the gauge just past the actual distance. Good luck with that. 3 - Graphics are not great at all. Probably not something that can be "fixed." 4 - though useful, busy and ugly HUD. Still, if you're a fan of disc golf, you'll enjoy this - and you'll keep keep waiting and hoping that someone designs a better one.

Addicting but needs to fix glitches

Addicting game despite its down falls. Pretty poor graphics. A few glitches here and there such as not being able to zoom in where necessary, sometimes disc bounces around without stopping forcing you to close and reopen DiscGolf3D . Odd angles when disc falls on a hill. Poor descriptions when choosing discs. But I love disc golf and games that keep me entertained and this one has done just that.

Excited for updates!!

Avid disc golfer here and I've been waiting for somebody to make a phone version. Nothing out there like it right now. Gameplay isnt that bad i would compare it to More of a tiger woods feel with the double click for your shot power and accuracy. Awesome awesome game so far.

That being said. There are a few glitches I've noticed.
-Basket seems to have holes in it sometimes what look like made shots fall right through. Adding needless strokes.
-sometimes on the bounce when the disc it gets hits the ground it gets caught up and sends it flying randomly in any direction and usually pretty far.
-I spent $1.99 on the full game and another $1.99 on the disc set (the basic ones you start with dont do the job very well if you want to be competitive) but I would think for almost $5 I would get more than one course. Great game but I can't see me continuing to play the same courses over and over and over. Granted there are different tees but. Gets a little repetitive. Still love it great for rainy days to scratch that disc golf itch. Keep up the good work.

Good start

I have to say I was actually impressed by the aspects of disc golf that this game got right. You can tweak every every throw just how you want it. My main complaint is the putting. Obviously, putting is the most important part if the game and I found myself (like others have also said) missing easy "tap in" putts and hitting some weird glitch that causes my next putt to miss by even more. This only happens I am within about 1-2 feet from the basket. It's like I'm too close and it freaks out. I purposely lay up at least 5 feet away to avoid this problem. Please find a way to fix this glitch. Maybe a "Tap In" feature...Other than that, I think this game is a huge improvement on other disc golf games and I hope you will continue to make improvements.

Pretty fun but glitchy

Graphics and physics are pretty good (except when the disc bounces around and increases in speed). I can't get past hole 3 on the 3rd or 4th tournament. After I make the putt, the game crashes. I created a new character and started over and it still happened.

Some of the putting physics are junk. 2 feet from the basket and you'll miss 3 times in a row... If you putt at the distance it says, you'll always land at the basket instead of in it. Overall I like it a lot but it gets frustrating when a birdie turns into a plus 4 from weird close range physics.

Suggestions

Overall I really enjoy the game and it does really give me that fix when I can't get out to throw. I would have gave it a five but I feel that it still needs a little work. It almost feels like you designers have never actually disc golfed and based it on ball golf.
That's not to bad but there is some differences.

I would suggest eliminate most of the bounce, disc skip but they don't bounce. Also there are three different putting styles even if we can only use one just square up the golfer to the basket, when he starts off to the side and then switches it throws off the flow. Also maybe give us a save throw angle style if that's not to much, I put all my putts straight at the middle of the basket and I hate having to adjust every putt it takes ages. Also if a zoom in when your on the green is plausible that would be awesome. I am very happy with throwing, you designers have got the defined lead in that category, and your courses are almost unrealistic they are so nice. My last thought is trees, most times they misdirect disc or slow them down, they only stop a disc if you hit areas like the trunk.

Awesome Game!

This game is great! It has a few severe glitches, but otherwise the game is amazing! It's better than any other frisbee game on the market. I love how you can throw the disc onto the roof of that building, and the graphics are great. If you can cope with glitches, get DiscGolf3D 🙂

Game is getting worse

Decided to change my review. Game is getting worse instead of better. You can now no longer win a tournament. The AI competitors shoot lights out, and you cannot even make it to the basket on par 3's to get a birdie. Same with par 4's. Not even close to the basket. Played this game on and off for almost a year. My stats are put up pretty high, and i still cant place. Also just about every putt chains out. Reccomend not downloading until game is severely improved. I dont ever right reviews and look at this paragraph. Thats how bad this game is getting. Had to vent

Great start!

Ok so this is by far the closest to actually playing DG on your that you are going to get. Period. It's a great game! Definitely could use some tweaking here and there but they tried to be authentic. Pretty wide selection of disc (even though I can't find how to change to the cheaper I disc I have purchased from playing the game) and a selection of shots...including a tomahawk!! Putting is "different." But all in all this game is seriously worth it. Get it.
