Constantly stops playing for no obvious reason in multiple different ways. It will pause music without being touched, it will stop playing audio even though FLACPlayer says the song is playing and it will disconnected FLACPlayer from bluetooth and play out of the phone even though everything else on the phone plats out of bluetooth still. FLACPlayer has serious bugs that need to be worked out and is not worth the time or effort of loading your music library into it.

Apple music on my iPhone has issues but overall isn’t too bad. iTunes, however is useless and never finds my computer so I cannot load music into the iPhone music player.
With Flac Player+ I can load songs over Wifi. Yea!! Now the problems. (1) When a song is playing, it is not highlighted in the track listings, only in the playing now screen so it is very difficult to find. (2) When you pause a song and come back to it later, it is no longer paused. The playing now screen is gone and nothing is paused...it’s just stopped. So you get to work and pause your music for the day and when you leave you have no idea where in your music library you were because Playing Now is gone. If you were listening to an audiobook, you’ll never find your place again. Grrrr.l If you were listening to a random playlist, you have no idea where in the list you were. Grrr. Even if you know exactly the song you were listening to, you need to start all over. Grrr.

Functionality is mostly fine but it will frequently bug you to write a review. This happens when your screen is off and locks out your music controls on the lock screen. It is so eager for you to write a review that it will lock you out from using it. In addition, when you disconnect from Bluetooth it will keep playing on speaker. In order to pause it I need to unlock it and dismiss the review window before finally hitting the pause button.

Update: the player won’t function with any car’s infotainment system, also FLACPlayer won’t function through the notification screen due to that annoying “rate it” pop up!

When iTunes refuses to update/add music to your device's library due to bogus reasons FLACPlayer comes in handy. One issue though, while scrolling through the song's timeline and then skipping forward to next track; FLACPlayer would occasionally crash and you'll lose your place.

I got fed up with Apple’s Music app and I was happy to find this file-based music player but it’s missing features. I use playlists all the time. I wish to copy all of my songs/playlists into FLACPlayer instead of using Apple’s Music app because Apple won’t stop messing with my songs and playlists. FLACPlayer need random/shuffle mode when playing songs in playlists. FLACPlayer also need to scan album folders for songs if songs are uploaded via iTunes’ ‘File Sharing’ feature. I don’t want to take the song files out of their album folders and have one giant mess of songs. I also am unable to use existing album covers/thumbnails. Be nice if I could import in the digital files from Apple’s Music app, too, so I don’t have to use iTunes to load the songs into Flac+.

Since the last iOS update my iPad and iPhone can't sync to my MBP because it requires software update on MBP (that won't update) solution is either buy new MBP or use another music player. I chose this and it's ok with issues. It's making a muddle of the meta data so much so that songs are appearing under the wrong artist. Now I can't find anyway to delete songs to replace versions with "cleaned" meta data. And the help link to the developer won't open.

The good: if you want to play higher quality music on your iPhone without streaming this is the only real choice. The interface is useable but needs some fixing and comes with adds. That said, I can listen to my music on the go which is what the goal is here.
The bad: #1 http connection to sync music to your phone. Really? Do https for Christ’s sake. You can’t change the track from the lock screen on iOS if you have an alert that popped up. And for some reason, when I connect to my car if I change the track from anywhere, it will somehow play a random song from my regular iTunes library- even if it isn’t running.

Overall it does what I need but has some serious setbacks.

I had a bunch of mp3s and Flacs that I always wanted to take with me on the go, but I never found an app, until now! FLACPlayer is definitely a lot higher quality than the other apps that allow you to play your own files. HOWEVER, there is still a lot of problems with it. For reference, I’m comparing this to windows media player, since that’s what I am coming from

1. Sometimes the songs would play for 2 seconds, pause on its own, and not be able to play the rest of the song
2. UI is very outdated, but not a big problem.
3. When you turn off your phone it will still keep playing, but the overlay that allows you to pause without opening your phone sometimes requires me to press it twice and a lot of the time doesn’t even show up at all!

Tl;dr: Best file player currently, but please fix the song problem.

FLACPlayer does all you need when it comes to playing music and transferring audio files to your iPad. It helps to let you bypass all the ridiculous iTunes dance of endless limitations. No real evidence of intrusive ads so far after months of using it. Music 🎼 plays in background while you work on other tasks. Only gave it 4 stars due to its somewhat clunky UI and its lack of being able to rotate to landscape orientation. 😎👍🎼

I had a problem for a whole year after i switched from andriod to iphone...all my MP3 format songs had to be formatted thru itunes which was a dumb and convuluted process. Finally i can get rid of itunes, the wifi transfer is slow, but simple and easy. The only issue that i have is that you cant qeue up songs.

After iTunes deleted literally every song I have after syncing it with my new laptop (thanks Apple) I started looking for player alternatives.

Tried VOX, and it played FLAC files well but the UI was large and not intuitive. Then I looked around online and tried this one. It’s simple, easy to use and has customization features within FLACPlayer . I should note I’m only using it to play files locally stored on my iphone.

The only thing it’s missing for me is for songs to appear in Spotlight Search and to play them directly from spotlight search, like the default apple music app does.

I have FLAC files that I wanted to be able to take with me and play anywhere. I’m not entirely sure if it degrades the sound during playback but it doesn’t what I need it to. The WiFi syncing via a browser is spotty at best but when you sync in iTunes it works perfectly fine.

Very happy overall.

Updated on my review:
App works really good without any crash. Looks good with variety of theme options. I was amazed to see i can download songs from internet directly from FLACPlayer. I love FLACPlayer.

Suggestions:
1: while playing the song with your screen locked, The option for scrubbing is not available.
2: when playing song in shuffle mode, when I press skip for next song and again press back for same song, it doesn’t play the same song. It shuffles again.

I was totally frustrated with  music since it does not allow me to listen other country music and doesn’t have big collection of music that I was looking for.
I have a big collection of songs downloaded in my computer. I was looking for ways to sync all the music to iPhone and did a lot of google search and used many apps. I think finally I got FLACPlayer, which looks really good and very easy to use and share files. Finally I am happy to listen the songs I like without subscription.. if FLACPlayer supports me well and definitely ditch  music. I hope it does work well me. This is my first day in FLACPlayer. So I il be updating it when I see any issues with it.

I’m making a record and I like to listen to my tracks when on the go. I can upload them via http quick after a mix. The developer updates FLACPlayer regularly. And the newest maybe 2.5 added the eq which has a boost or lessen preamp, it’s a neat feature that’s hard to find out there. The new dark theme helps save battery on oled screens.

Only bug I’ve ever run into is a silly and random one (not a big deal) but it’s when you select a new song right when one ends exactly, FLACPlayer crashes. Otherwise the developer fixed the weird playlist bug. Every thing works as intended now. Great app, and great job!

This is one of the easiest and fastest app to down load, install, and start using. After several frustrating hours to get iTune to work and do what I wanted, I found FLACPlayer. It was the first one I downloaded and it did everything I wanted and was so intuitive that I did not even look at any other apps. So far the only problem has been on transferring music files from my computer to the iPhone. It occasionally takes a few attempts to complete the connection between computer and iPhone but after that the transfer is quick and the player is fast.

First off , I want to complement you for your great app , but I’ve got one problem with it, I would be a much better app if you add the feature to share songs to other apps , for instance if I want send the song that I’m listening to another app like a messaging app I can’t .
But again , this is a great app .

After trying out 12 other players, I chose this one. Nice set of features for my needs (in the car), easy to load it with music, easy to operate with one hand while driving (hypothetically speaking), clean uncluttered interface, everything worked, and it kept the order of songs the way it is supposed to be. You don’t need cloud accounts, or subscriptions to some corporate storage box/cloud/whatchamacallit to listen to music on your phone; dump the music on the phone, and go. Flac Player+ does it perfectly.

When playing on shuffle mode, I would like it to cycle through all the songs within the album/playlist/etc before playing an already played song. I noticed on Shuffle mode, when I hit the back button, instead of restarting the existing song or even repeating the previously played song, that it just starts a completely different song (haven’t tried this in a while, so unsure if that is still the behavior).

Minimal learning curve to import music files from Google Drive. Zero fussing with anything that Apple/Jobs typically tries to stick in our digital back doors/e-butts as a necessary condition to do anything on iThings. The overarching digital reich of FLAC seems to be much more subtle. If they’re even up in our business, I haven’t noticed so if it exists, it’s stealthy. That and the fact I’m all stretched out from proprietary manhandling of my ejunk makes all things FLAC a wonderful non-event of functional software that does what it claims to do, with zero bloat.

The new look of FLACPlayer is great only thing that needs to be worked on is the equalizer the equalizer should’ve stayed the same as what was in the old version of FLACPlayer for now il give it a 4 star rating if the equalizer would’ve been the same with a different look I would’ve gave it 5 stars other then that it’s a excellent app👍🏾

I’d pay a buck or two for a player thatll play uncompressed files, with more features, and is easy to use.
