About Hashi

Connect bridges between islands to form one interconnecting path! Hashi are addictive bridge-connecting puzzles which were invented in Japan.

Using pure logic and requiring no math to solve, these fascinating puzzles offer endless fun and intellectual entertainment to puzzle fans of all skills and ages.

Each puzzle is based on a rectangular arrangement of circles, where each circle represents an island and the number in each island tells how many bridges are connected to it.

To help see the puzzle progress, graphic previews in the puzzle list show the progress of all puzzles in a volume as they are being solved.

The object is to connect all islands according to the number of bridges so that there are no more than two bridges in the same direction and all bridges are interconnected enabling passage from any island to another.

On average, more than 20 million Conceptis puzzles are solved each day in newspapers, magazines, books and online as well as on smartphones and tablets across the world.

The game also features highlighting options, helping see in which directions bridges are allowed and whether an island segment is about to become isolated.

For more fun, Conceptis Hashi includes a Weekly Bonus section providing an extra free puzzle each week.

Similar to Sudoku, Kakuro and Slitherlink, the puzzles are solved using logic alone.

- the leading supplier of logic puzzles to printed and electronic gaming media all over the world.

Hashi have also become popular under other names such as Bridges, Chopsticks and Hashiwokakero.

All puzzles in this app are produced by Conceptis Ltd.

A Gallery view option provides these previews in a larger format.

To create a bridge simply swipe your fingertip between two islands.

Another great game by Conceptis

This is a fantastic game. I don’t spend money on games in general but I buy puzzle packs for this app and other Conceptis games because I appreciate that these are high quality games and there’s no nonsense involved. These are some of the most interesting puzzles out there to solve, and there isn’t a constant stream of disruptive ads ruining the experience. If you love this game, throw them a couple dollars once in a while (you can restart packs and get a lot of plays out of them before they become too familiar).

Exactly what I was looking for

So far, I’m just using what is free and I’m loving it. Doesn’t have annoying ads. Doesn’t make you watch a clock while you’re solving (but does track it). Has various levels to choose from. Lets you easily see the paths you're creating. Has undo/redo. Really just everything I could hope for and nothing that I don’t want. Couldn’t have designed it better myself. Finding the bonus weekly games is a nice, fun touch for the long term.

Challenging

as has been already noted this app puzzles are really a lot of fun and are mentally challenging. I have been using Hashi off and on for a few years. It's a great app. Any flaws that I've come across are minor.
The biggest problem is there aren't enough games. even though you can buy extra games at a reasonable price, you soon run out of puzzles to do. The addition of the weekly free puzzle is nice, but more puzzles are needed.

Excellent Hashi app

Loved this app on paper and playing via Hashi is even better. Swipe once for one bridge, again for second bridge, third time to clear again. Undo/Redo buttons. Numbers grey out automatically when satisfied by correct number of bridges. Very clean layout.

Lots of puzzles with a range of difficulty: Very Easy, Easy, Medium, Medium Plus, Hard and Very Hard. Within the categories, size of grid varies as well.

Well done visual logic

Hits a sweet spot for me of visual plus logic. The puzzles also translate well to a digital form, the touch input is highly intuitive and not at all clunky, unlike some other similar puzzle types (Picross/Nonogram/Griddler, I'm looking at you...). Puzzles are clearly created by humans, quality is outstanding.

Quite a few free puzzles plus MANY more available for purchase in reasonably priced packs, targeting a specific difficulty and/or size.

Well done!

Great UI, engaging puzzles

I really enjoy Conceptis’s version of this game. The UI is well designed, and the game difficulty ratings seem very fair. Over 13 years ago I started playing this app in a book by Alistair Chisholm. In his puzzles the island layouts were symmetric along both diagonals, and the solution paths had varying degrees of symmetry. I grew to enjoy especially the island symmetry and still miss it in these games. With that symmetry, at least as an option, I would rate Hashi a 5.

Great Game

Lot of fun. Nice variety of puzzle difficulty levels. Very easy to add or remove lines as needed, and I like the features where a node gets crossed off when it has the right number of connections, the feature to highlight a connected structure, and the feature to show possible connections for any given node.

I play it at least once a week

Super fun game. I love logic puzzles and Conceptis makes the best. I love the user interface and puzzle quality. I’ve been a fan since finding their website 12 years ago. Once they started releasing their games as apps I was very excited and have downloaded all of them.

Challenging

You’ll want to buy the expansion packs after the free one are done. It’s tough, but not so hard that it’s frustrating. I would love to be able to “lock” the connections (or maybe change the color of the line?) so that I could easily undo a bunch of moves and get back to a known state. It would make “what if” updates much easier.

Great if you like logic puzzles

Really fun to work these puzzles, I play it a lot, it’s pretty satisfying trying to work out new methods to sort out the logic behind the puzzles. Lots of different ways to approach them, the puzzles are very replayable with enough time in between, I like to try and beat my previous time.

A great logic puzzle

As with many of the best logic puzzles, the rules here are simple and few. However, that doesn’t stop some puzzles from being intricate and complex. With lots of free practice puzzles, a user-friendly interface, hints for those who need them, and a free weekly puzzle that ranges in difficultly, this is a top-notch app.

Great puzzle

I've played this puzzle on paper many times in Games Magazine. This is a good digital version by the company I'm familiar with. I wish there were "save points" to come back to. (On paper, I use dashed lines to represent trials, and emphasize the hypothesis I am testing somehow).

Conceptis has many similar games here and they each have different UI features, which I find odd.

Fun puzzles

Great app- works well and is easy and intuitive to use. There are actually five levels- very easy, easy, medium, medium plus and hard. Fun logic puzzles to pass the time. Haven't had a single issue. Nothing annoying or intrusive about Hashi . Can't think of anything bad.

Hashi is great

I have been playing Conceptis games on their site before they made the apps. All the Conceptis apps are consistently entertaining and challenging. Great for when you have a few minutes to kill as it auto saves your progress as you play.

Wish the UI was better

This is one of few Hachi games available, and so far, this has been the best one. The only thing Ive noticed that other apps have over this is a more modern UI and vibration feedback when you connect islands. I would pay money for those options. Otherwise, loving this game and Hashi. Great job to the developer! Thank you!

Great game, no ads

With just the base game you get plenty of puzzles to work your way through. I’m happy to purchase additional puzzle packs for such a well-made and simple game that doesn’t bombard you with ads.

Excellent

I’m a big fan of Japanese number and logic puzzles. The interface on this game is easy and intuitive, and the puzzles seem well-designed. The highlighting is a nice touch, too, something you don’t get with the paper-and-pencil version.

Save/Restore would be nice

Nice implementation, but unlike the web version there’s no way to set a checkpoint. On the harder puzzles, sometimes you have to resort to trial and error. It is very helpful to be able to save your work and come back when an experiment doesn’t pan out. Otherwise I’d give this a 5 star review.

Hashi

Found this in my parent’s daily paper several years ago and have been hooked since. Great mental stimulation. Easy to use and options allow for varying levels of help.

Excellent version of a classic puzzle type

Hashi provides both a good introduction and a solid implementation of a classic logic puzzle type, this app or 'bridges'. The Conceptis puzzle apps in general are all good, but this app is my favorite. Recommended.
