To Read - Reading List Reviews

It is great for creating a simple list of books. Which I wanted- I hear a book recommendation from a friend, grab my phone and put it on my list. Easy peasy. However, the lack of organization is a real bummer. Specifically, I would love to be able to send books that I have read to a "done" list.

This is the only app I’ve voluntarily paid money to. It’s an amazing free service - simple and intuitive and so valuable. The creator frequently updates and improves it; I so appreciate someone putting time into a free app for something so many people will need.

But I miss being able to search in both directions for date added. Also, the alphabet down the side helped when navigating by title. A book can’t be removed from the list nor can the “read” flag be reset.

Super convenient and easy to use. I’ve been using ToRead for over a year now and wouldn’t think about using anything else.

ToRead does exactly what I was looking for. Easy to find and add a book to your reading list.

Features that would make this 5 star for me:

- The ability to quickly swipe (or click) to mark a book as read - both from the online search and from my personal list
- The ability to add a note about a book as a reminder (would just be neat - less important than the first one)

Half the books I want to read don’t come up , it would be easier if I could just put a picture of the book cover in app.

Loved ToRead for years- simple way to keep track of what I wanted to read and what I’ve read.
Opened it today and it had erased all my books. No support here in ToRead Store.

Please help! I don’t want to write a negative review but I can’t find any other way to find support. I’ve used ToRead for years and love it, but recently and for no apparent reason other than ToRead was updated, my carefully curated reading list disappeared! SOS!

My list was completed deleted, I think with the latest update. No way to contact or offer any other feedback. Any way to get this back???

Like when i go to ToRead and get the book i want and click on it its does nothing but just deletes the book

The last update erased all of my books. Can’t see a thing just a blank screen.

This is not a reading app. It doesn't track what you've read or let you read ebooks, but that's not what I was looking for. All I wanted was a simple, quick way of creating a list of books I want to read. For that, ToRead is close to perfect. It is easy to use (just search and add) with a clean interface. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is the lack of ordering. It would be nice to be able to order by title, author, or added date.

***Update:
A recent update has added the ability to order books by title or by added date. That makes this book list app great for its intended purpose. I now find it pretty much perfect for a light-weight listing app.

This is exactly what I've been looking for in a book list app. I love that it searches the books and puts the cover on your list, as well as giving the synopsis of the book if you tap the cover image in both your list and the search area. You can search by title or author when looking for a book. The only update I would ask for is an option to sort your list by author (currently only title, added, & completed are the options).

To Read is exactly what i was looking for - a simple, lightweight reading list that i could add to very quickly. i think it's really only missing one feature and that's the ability to export your reading list. mine is getting long and it's not backed up anywhere in the way that my notes are to my email. even if we could log into our accounts from a web client to see our list that would be fine - i just want to make sure my list is protected. but, other than that, i love it!

I really love ToRead. I wanted someplace super user-friendly to track my ever growing list of books because I no longer want to rely on post-it notes and text messages to myself. It was easy to get my random notes onto ToRead . I like how other titles kept popping up during my searches. I kept following those rabbit trails and added even more books to my reading wish list.

ToRead is great if all you need is a list of the books you want to read in the future. However, if you want any other features, like other books written by the same author, I suggest ToRead Goodreads. I personally think it's too much work for what it's worth, but it may work for you. All in all, ToRead was just what I was looking for. Simple, easy, and manageable. 5 star review!

Love ToRead and it's very useful but it would be really nice if you had an account and could have your books synced for if you accidentally delete ToRead ... I'm scared I'll delete ToRead then come back and see that the 30 books I had on there are gone. Please take my review into consideration! Overall love ToRead and very useful!

I really love ToRead and it's ability to keep track of what i'm reading. I had a cool idea that you could connect to your contacts to see what your friends are reading and share books that you've recently enjoyed or are wanting to enjoy with them. Also, a sort by author feature, and a "show only uncompleted books" option would be helpful. Thanks!

Love ToRead so far. I used to make notes wherever I could find a piece of paper of book recommendations or other titles by authors that I discovered that I liked. ToRead is perfect for keeping track of it for me and is so easy to enter a book. Only thing that kept me from giving it five stars is there were a few books by a few authors that were not listed, otherwise great app!!!

Great app for remembering all of the books you want to read. Quick web lookup will find the book for you and then you just hit the + to add it. It doesn't have the "my library" function but that's not really what I want in a to-read list anyway.

ToRead won't let me search for a book anymore. When I click on +, ToRead freezes on a blank pahe. Can't get the keyboard to open. Could you fix this? I hate to delete it. Happens on both my iPhone and iPad, which do not sync. That would be a good feature to add.
