Sadly this no longer works with newer iphones 12/13. Just gives a “cannot access camera” error.

I can’t get to their store, their server, etc.

Good but doesn't work most of the time. It depends on the texture of the background behind you whether it will work or not. ( For example, bumpy white paint splotches that are a common house hold paint that is used, it will not work. Must have a Clean Flat surface as a background for it to work. Certain items do not blend well. Tiles do not work either.) Lighting is not a problem as long as you are in a well-lit room. This application has so much potential, but needs a lot of work. Keep the updates coming, and I will purchase the add ons once these problems are fixed.

It needs a few tweaks. If there isn't enough light nothing will show up, and it doesn't have an option for a flash, which seemed a little weird for a camera app. Hopefully that gets added, and it would be cool if the background options didn't have random characters going across what would be the persons face. Other than that it works fine.

I love the idea but it needs a few things, like the ability to use pictures in your album, be able to use the forward facing camera, zoom, adjust pictures, maybe a timer, etc...

It's cool but not being able to mess with the pictures or adjust what I just took really hurts my appeal of MangaCamera.

A really cool idea that produces but just like everyone else is saying...it could use an option to import from library. I normally take a regular picture and later decide what app I want to use to doctor the image up! I'll definitely keep watching for updates!

It is a good fun app for the price I would just really like to see the ability to have no effect frame. If I remember right, there are pages in graphic novels without those effects. It would also be nice to be able to access camera roll pictures. Otherwise, great work.

This is very cool. It's always great to see fresh ideas on MangaCamera Store and this is one of them. I would like some more backgrounds and maybe even the ability to have a black and white picture over a colorful background. As is, I can see myself printing some of these pictures. I'm impressed! Well done developer!

MangaCamera works pretty well as long as you follow the instructions and take the picture of your subject in front of a light background. My only wish for MangaCamera is that it allow you to choose which camera you want to use. Using the main camera for self- portraits is really hard.

This thing is hilariously awesome. I have no idea what anything means, but it's just awesome.

It could use a few feature though, like Importing from the camera roll, more frame options, and a smoother interface, I'd gladly pay for MangaCamera!

OH, and the ability to switch to the FRONT camera!

This is a great app that will hopefully keep getting better with more updates. Future feature recommendations are 1) being able to use photos already in photo library 2) being able to use front camera 3) being able to zoom

This is one of my favorite apps to play around with. I would give it 5 stars but it needs to be updated for the iPhone 5, needs an option for taking pictures from the front facing camera, and ability to access the camera album. Overall fun app! Love it and recommend to all

I absolutely love MangaCamera! My only complaints are: you can't remove the Chinese writing on any of the frames! It needs adjustments for contrast and brightness after the photo is taken! I would gladly pay for MangaCamera to remove that! Also, you can't use the front camera! Love what MangaCamera can do, just needs some tweaking!

This is a pretty neat app. The only problem I've ever had with it, is that sometimes the pictures don't come out very well due to either being too dark or too bright. But otherwise it's a lot of fun to just play around with.
They finally updated it so that you can use pics from your albums instead of only being able to use photos taken with MangaCamera itself. A BIG improvement on usefulness to me.

Fun little app,

(And to all those low starred whiners who are rating a low star rating because it doesn't support old iPod touches. Grow up and learn how to read. In the upper left it tells you the requirements! Don't punish a developer just because your too stupid to read or too cheap to buy new Touches or iPhones).

I'm all for a limited set of features, but MangaCamera suffers a bit as a result of an extremely rough interface. That being said, the end result is so good and entertaining that I'm not that distracted by it. So much fun is had just in seeing how things look via MangaCamera.

.....As a free app just starting , this is exactly the kind of jewel that I just love to discover hidden amongst all the other rubble !! So , if you are thinking about it , I would love to say not to get it , so I could keep it as my own little unknown secret ...especially if the devs are really going to develop it ....it would be up there with the $5 apps at least !!

A friend of mine showed me this on the Japanese AppStore a couple of weeks back and I was sad I couldn't get it. Now that it's here I'm psyched! It's easy to use, has more backgrounds / overlays than I thought it would and it produces great results quickly! And of course the kids love the results too! I don't grab many photo apps (Instagram? Bleech!) but this was a must have!

MangaCamera gets 5 stars for just being unique. It's fun to play with and to explore different ways of capturing manga moments.

I am pretty someone pointed this out already, but it would be great if you could choose to include/not include the text in some of the frames. (It would be also good to know what the Japanese texts mean.) Maybe giving MangaCamera user the ability to control the size of the text and to choose which text to put in will be great.

There is always space for improvement. Good job overall.
