I have been a loyal CAR reader for decades and welcomed the move to digital. The good news is that the writing and photography are still great. But whatever part-time, untrained editor is in charge of spelling, captions, and making sure the right photos in the right place needs to be replaced with a full time, paid digital error. A month doesn’t go by without a couple of egregious errors that are eventually fixed after I point them out. No other digital magazine I read has these problems, and it detracts from what should be a fabulous reading experience.

Simply the best automobile magazine on the planet. Great writers and the lead on the most exciting cars and trends. Although I live in the US I feel like I’m included. Georg Kacher is my favorite writer. Makes me feel like I’m in the passenger seat. Keep it going.

Each time the screen locks CARMagazine closes and you have to go all the way from choosing to opening the magazine you were reading, to going to the article you were reading. It’s tiresome and frustrating.

I love Car and have been waiting for CARMagazine . I wondered how they could possibly transfer the high production values of the paper version to a digital format. They've done it! It's a great app, in fact better than the paper version in many ways. Fantastic photography and easy to explore. Wonderful. I subscribe to many publications on my iPad and even discounting the content, this is the best. Just great.

It's obvious: they hired an iPad staff and they have to use them. They created this "all singing and dancing" edition and they expect us to like it. If you enjoy starting at the beginning of the magazine and working your way to the end don't buy this. If you enjoy pointless journalistic labyrinths you'll be in heaven. Top Gear did the same and there approach isn't any better however I did buy the straightforward Top Gear PDF which is much better even if at the cost of having two digital subscriptions for the same magazine. So far CAR has resisted in offering a simple PDF but I think I know why - all the lads in the iPad department will end up getting the boot!

The amount of content per issue is huge. Navigation within CARMagazine is different than with others, so use the How To page to get familiar with it. The print version has long been the best auto magazine in the world.

They've really done a great job in putting CARMagazine together. I don't miss having a paper copy of the mag at all. It's easily readable, the photos are just as good, and the well-integrated videos are a great bonus.

Just awesome. Loved reading the paper mag and still do, but somehow they made CARMagazine even better. Incredible graphics and love the added imbedded media, like the videos in hd. Other magazines just copy themselves and are online, but this one is the model.

Car is probably the best automotive magazine in the world. Love that I no longer have to get the issues a month behind the release date. Wish the GBU feature was included on the iPad edition.

CARMagazine takes way too long to download an issue. If you change the window from the downloading screen it stops, if you leave it to download on its own it stops when the iPad goes to sleep. Isn't background downloading a necessity?
Does it have to start at the beginning each time as well?
Really sorry as I love the mag, and enjoy the iPad version of their competition magazine Evo, which has never caused any problems.

After paying, you receive an email with your customer number. After trying for several hours, all I receive is "an error occurred" after clicking the "create an account" link. They are happy to take your money but it doesn't seem to work in terms of letting you sign up and see the materials. Too bad as this is a great print magazine.

Car is probably the best car magazine in the world- CARMagazine is fantasic and very intuitive... I can say is up to the standard expected by its readers.

When it works Car Magazine must be the best magazine app out there. Great. Resolution, easy reading, excellent navigation and wonderful links to features.
That's when it works. From time to time the downloaded issues uninstall and to re-download you've got to delete CARMagazine , reinstall it and the once again download the issues. The whole process can take hours depending on how many issues you want.
Lately this is happening 3 or 4 times a day. I had several issues downloaded to read on the long flight from Denver to Tokyo . Of course they weren't there.
As much as I like the magazine I won't renew.

The previous version of CARMagazine took up far too much space on my device. This version corrects that and now that a few subtle improvements have been made it is a great app, on par with any I have tried.
