Hi my name is Kyle, I just downloaded Trivia as my wife and I are on a road trip and we’re looking for something to pass the time. I’m deleting this game now because of the time limit it puts on all of the questions. By the time I read the questions and the answers out load I have no time to answer before time runs out. You should give the choice in the (very limited)options menu to change the question time. Make sure no time limit is an option.
I’ve seen them put film questions in sports, history in social science, and just overall random categories.
On an unrelated note, the question something like Spintronics is a design or technology based on the spinning of something. They put “What?” After that explanation, then after that the answer was “Electron” not even electrons, how it should be put. Either they didn’t entirely understand the question they put up and got a hasty answer or they understood it completely but didn’t manage to put the things into context to try and actually check the question.
Hi, my name is JJ. Are used to play this game. However, is not user-friendly anymore. Are used to tell me which buttons or whatever or any category tap on it would tell me what it is. However, it doesn’t work anymore. This game used to be a lot of fun to me. And I love it because I can learn a lot of things. However, it has changed. It worked when I had my iPhone 4s, it worked when I had my iPhone 6 Plus. It did not work when I had my seven. It’s not working now I have my eight. This game is to be a lot of fun. However, I know the lowest part of this game I give it a zero. Because is not working correctly every time you tapped on the categories, I would tell you what you tapping on. And it’s not working like it should anymore. So why do you have this game, if it’s not user-friendly for me. Are used to play it a lot. So therefore, I think this game is a scam. Because it’s not working. So either you fix it, either people are spending their money for the wrong reasons. To play this game that people can learn from. It’s not working correctly. So until then, I’m not downloading his game until it is fixed.
I love this app, but I don’t like how this game assigns levels depending on how many questions in a row you get wrong or right. There should be different levels for each category. For instance, if you get all the history questions right, you should go up a level just for the history questions. Subsequently, if you get all the social science questions wrong you should go down a level only on the social science questions. Also, it seems like the level one questions are harder than the level 3 questions.
The quality of the this app isn’t bad but isn’t great. Question wording is shorter than the average Jeopardy! answer, and this leads to some ambiguity and some questions which are a bit complex to read. I’ve seen questions with multiple answers that were technically correct as worded.
Difficulty level is random. Dirty Harry’s last name is as easy as knowing streaks in specific LPGA tournaments. The questions usually are questions you could know or puzzle out. I haven’t seen any “according to a survey” or “according to an article” style questions where the answer is something you can’t know, bur I have seen some questionable “most common” type questions with softer answers.
I don’t like the timer implementation. There’s a reason why Jeopardy! doesn’t turn on the buttons until the question is read. The questions also feel particularly shallow because there’s no info about why you were right or wrong. The up and down level gives you something to think about, but it also means to get a higher score you need to start at max level (I think)
No (truly) custom UI for iPad. Ads are small, except interstitials which usually can go away quick enough.
It’s free. It’s fine.
Both my wife and I are British, but have lived in Hawaii for the last 16 years. This was our favorite quiz game after trivial pursuit seemed to have disappeared from Trivia Store.
The game took its place rather well and we usually play it whilst waiting for food in restaurants. We liked it because we could choose England as our region. This meant questions relating to our culture, TV shows, political, sports etc.
But now it seems that the phones gps is determining that because we are in the USA, we must be American. I do not know about American sports and are not particularly interested in the political goings on.
App now a bit useless if you can't choose the region you are most likely to be able to answer questions on.
Hope they put this option back asap please.
This game has a nice and simple layout. And, none of the questions have repeated so far. I like how you can go back and reaver the ones you got wrong, it’s easier to actually learn it that way. The only thing I don’t like about this game, is that most stuff is super random! A lot of people like having random information though. I however feel no need to know any of this really. Some stuff is interesting and cool to know, but most of it I’ll never use in my life, ever. So it’s kind of cool to do but it feels like a waste. So now I’m looking for another this app game with slightly more common knowledge, simply because it may come up more in life and conversations. I really hope to find one with as great of a layout and program as your game though.
How many rounds of questions there will be and how many questions. I love the variety, how it shows you correct answers when you get one wrong. How you go back later in game until you have answered all questions correctly. Sometimes I hit the wrong icon by accident resulting in an incorrect answer. The music is even soothing. The adds are a little annoying but worth it! If Trivia has 1000’s of questions, I will upgrade to a 5 STATS! Thank you developers for not being greedy like similar apps! Please keep up the fantastic work! I’m bed ridden so this game helps with my neuroplasticity and boredom. Keep the brain games coming! Thank you again!!! ☮️😎
Trivia was recently updated and I miss some features of the old app, such as the state's averages. I also would prefer they return to the previous feature of a running average score on each subject that stays permanently. Now, if you go to the "Improve your knowledge" feature where you get another chance to answer the questions you got wrong, it changes all subject areas to 100% which doesn't help. Overall, it is still a great exercise that rewards you for correct answers and for the speed you select the answer.
I like this game app, this app is something I really enjoy. However there was an question in the technology category that reads something like
To create color in your tv fires three electron guns, one for each primary color. Witch of these is not one of them? Red, blue, yellow, green?
The answer is free as it is not a primary color! But the game insists it’s yellow. Unless you know something I don’t, how is green a primary color and yellow is not ?
I use this as a tool to improve my knowledge. Questions are not easy though, even as someone with a bachelor’s degree I find many tricky. But on the other hand, the categories are vastly different and allow for different types of questions. I like how you can go back and try to rework the questions you got wrong previously. I really enjoy Trivia.
I have learned so much from this excellent game. I LOVE how they give you a second or third chance to answer your missed question until you get it right. I recommend this to everyone of all ages, at the same time you are learning new things. This is such a learning tool thank you for allowing learning while enjoying myself. K. Smith
The last upgrade doesn't open on my ipad - it freezes and I have to reboot everything!! I used to love the knowledge trainer - it was great this app and fun too but now it's useless - doesn't work - the last upgrade is trash. This would have a 5 star but they better work on the bugs!!!
Love the rigor of this game and the huge range of subject matter covered. It’s all multiple choice which is cool and definitely gets the mind working, however because it’s multiple choice you’d think that when you answer incorrectly they’d show you which of the remaining three answers was in fact, the correct answer and why. All that aside Trivia is the best for real this app
This is not a mere this app game of the collection of interesting snippets of information. You need to really challenge yourself to figure out the correct answer at times by the process of elimination. All the options have a plausibility of being correct in the more challenging questions, and knowledge in other areas helps greatly. Most challenging brain game I've seen on Trivia -circuit.
I love the game and have been playing it now for about six months. However, recently a glitch has developed in the program. Now consistently during each game Trivia just shuts down and takes me back to my phones home screen. When I reopen Trivia it takes me back to the question, but it says the time is up and you lose that round. Very annoying when you have a streak going! Please fix!!!
I really enjoy the way the game is set up, the variety and difficulty of the questions. I like that you level up and down as you answer questions correctly or incorrectly. The time in between the questions are a little long because they always respond by showing the level of challenge each question is rated, but that’s not a deterrent for me to continue playing. Most of all I really like that Trivia does not up-sell me on other features and I keep playing for free without disruption.
Questions I had gotten incorrect in one game, immediately come up again in the following game, which is really the best way to learn, vis-a-vis rote, but it wasn’t always this way. Years ago, and now still too, wrong answers went into the “learn more” link, and I’m paraphrasing there. But now, the incorrect answers pop right back up within minutes. That’s different. No worries though, I just won’t need to exit the game and drill myself in each section where I missed questions and drill until there are 0 left, in say, “Technology.” Just an FYI. Your Quiz is the hardest I know of and my highest score is 8/10. I’m 71. #notrump

Trivia is PHENOMENAL if you’re a this app-fan! There are a myriad of categories, several levels of difficulty, and options at the end of your game to improve your knowledge by answering questions you got incorrect. Trivia runs perfectly, too! No lost connection, no annoying ads, they NEVER stop/disturb your game w/a “rate our app now” pathetic begging-maneuver for their app to gain attention->(thank you for not begging for fake-positive-reviews!) The creator(s) of Trivia are GENIUS & SPOT-ON with the design/layout of a this app/brain-power game. Perfect if you love to learn, love knowledge and this app, like games that keep moving and like to know what was incorrect & be able to retake missed questions. Get Trivia: you’ll thank me later!! Thank you so much for keeping our brain’s healthy and happy! xoxoxo!!
It is definitely the best quiz type app out there. The questions are challenging and you learn as you play. You can go back to the questions you missed and try again. Don't be surprised if even on the second try you struggle with some answers. Absolutely the best!
