Had issues syncing data between two users.

2024-04-26

Really I had no issue with BabyTracker but rather the syncing of the data between my wife and I. I don’t know if it was setup incorrectly but it almost appeared as if my wife had an account separate from mine and Sprout was trying to sync between them. Worked with those support for a week or so trying to fix and still wouldn’t work right. I would have to force close BabyTracker get back in and do a manual refresh to see any of my wife’s data and for her to see anything I would log. Ultimately this became to cumbersome of a process and we moved on. While BabyTracker isn’t as whimsical as some others I would also say it’s not as streamlined either (feedings and diaper changes under tools?!?). Also the graphs and data appeared very difficult to determine what exactly your looking at. I use dark mode since I do most of the overnight stuff and the red on the graphs barely show as a thin line. Overall BabyTracker has potential but still needs some tweaking to get there.

Not syncing with watch correctly

2023-11-22

When I start a feed of a sleep from my watch it doesn’t sync over to the phone version correctly. For example , It will still be counting from a previous nap which started 7 hours ago and since baby has gone to sleep which was logged from my phone but the watch will still show the nap started 7 hours ago and still counting. I haven’t figured out a way to get it to sync without stopping the nap on the watch which then over writes the data of the most recent sleep logged on the phone. So then I lose my data of when the sleep started or when that nap 7 hours ago ended. So currently I also have a feed on my watch which started 5 hours ago and is still running it I don’t want to adjust it as it will ruin the correct data on my phone.... I don’t know how to get my watch version to update. This happens sometimes on the watch but not always. I have restarted both devices multiple times but the watch still shows the wrong naps and feeds and is still counting.

Almost perfect

2024-05-04

My wife and I love everything about BabyTracker. With our first newborn, we wanted to make sure we’re on the right track when it comes to feedings, diapers, sleeps, etc.
BabyTracker has a killer UI, amazing data organization, and most importantly, it feels secure. You’d be surprised how many baby tracking apps don’t discuss privacy or security anywhere. Amazing. Can’t believe people would’ve use those honestly. BabyTracker is spectacular tough. My wife and I are easily able to manage feedings simultaneously and it makes things so easy. We love the graphs and all the tools and things you can do with BabyTracker. Best of all, it’s extremely reasonably priced. We purchased after just a couple days of trial usage.
My only gripe so far is that the widget doesn’t seem to work properly. It displays information, but we’ve noticed that the feedings don’t display correctly. The timer will continue to count when someone else ends or starts a feeding. The timer just runs u til you open BabyTracker and refresh it. Kinda annoying. Please fix the widget as BabyTracker is near perfect! Thank you.

Almost perfect breastfeeding tracker!

2024-04-30

I’ve tried several apps now to track breastfeeding and this is by far my favorite. This is my third baby, so I was looking for something simple, but nothing was quite cutting it. Although this has a lot of extra features, it still makes it very easy if you are primarily using it for tracking- mainly you don’t have to click through multiple things to get to the tracking page as long as you don’t completely shut BabyTracker down. I love how simple it is to log both breasts in a single feeding and it shows how long it’s been since your last feeding (for some reason a lot of other apps don’t do this!). It would be perfect if it did two things: 1- showed breast you started on versus ended on (I need to start on the opposite side I did as the last time, and if I only fed him on one side the last feeding the check mark doesn’t help me remember this), and 2- if you had a widget that showed side started on, how long since the last feeding, and ideally allowed me to start/stop a feeding right there from my home screen!

Best Tracking app

2024-04-29

Ive been tracking my babies activities since she was born. I love that I don’t have to memorize 4 different times for daily items. I love the Medical tab with the development tracker and noting down when she has any symptoms so I can remember to tell the pediatrician. I love the Memories section. I can quickly add a milestone and in the future, have a PDF of all my daughter’s accomplishments.
I don’t like the redesign of the Home page and I let the Sprout team know about that. I really miss the Since last… section on the top to have a quick glance of the times; I don’t like and haven’t gotten used to looking for the last times on the individual cards. I also don’t like the new timeline on the Home Screen. When you start logging, you don’t see the daily messages in the Today at a Glance or the Closer Look section. I used to read that daily; now I never do. Took away one star because of that update.

All in all, BabyTracker has let me focus on my baby and not worry about ‘what was the last time I…’. I set up alerts when needed and love that it connects with my iWatch. Great App.

Recommend!

2024-05-04

This has helped us keep up with my son so much in the last year! He had some medical issues at birth that has made it necessary for us to keep track of his intake and output. This made it so easy and convenient to do so! Once we started sleep training, we began using the sleep tracker which made seeing our progress much easier! It has also helped keep track of any medications he is on and scheduled appointments! I’ve had several doctors and specialists tell us they were impressed by our ability to keep track of his daily activities but BabyTracker is how we kept everything together! My only suggestion is to add a place to track oral fluids other than just breastmilk or formula. We just put his fluid intake into the “solids” section so we can keep track from day to day, but it would be nice for there to be a designated place for that so BabyTracker can also add up fluid intake totals. Even though our baby just turned one, we plan on continuing to track his input and output so that we are able to monitor his condition closely and know if he is having any issues. Highly recommend!

Update 4.9

2024-04-29

I really like BabyTracker but the new update is kind of a bummer. I love that I can see data for longer periods of time but displaying data by calendar week, month, and year instead of by the last seven days, the last month, or the last year, makes it more difficult for me to see patterns in my child’s behavior. Especially when I’m at the beginning of a week or month and everything is blank except for that. It’s really a let down because the whole point for me in tracking everything is to see the patterns so I can make informed decisions about the timing of my child’s day.

Another minor thing that has always bugged me is that because sleep is tracked in orange and feedings are tracked in pink on the tools page, it is actually pretty difficult to tell them apart visually. It would be better if colors that had higher contrast to one another were used instead so it were easier to visually distinguish between the two without straining.

Great app!

2024-04-30

I love BabyTracker. As a new mom, it makes keeping track of my baby's needs so easy. I only have two 'issues' with BabyTracker itself. As a mom of a preemie, my baby needs every calorie available, meaning I have to supplement my breast milk with formula. So it would be really nice if instead of having to choose between marking a feeding as just breast milk, or just formula, I could mark the amount I used of each, in one feeding. For example- if I use 5 ml. of formula & 20 ml. of breast milk, I would love to be able to track both amounts, instead of only having the choice between 25 ml. of formula or 25 ml. of breast milk. My other wish, is in the pumping section. It would be really nice to have the ability to track the amount pumped from each breast, as well as being able to mark the total amount, in one pumping session, as compared to only being able to track the total amount from both, as it is now. Everything else about BabyTracker is great. Being able to keep track of everything in one place, is one less thing I have to worry about remembering in my sleep deprived haze.

Love it, recent issues are a pain though

2024-04-30

We have loved BabyTracker for the past 5 months, however within the past week we’ve had some irritating issues. The sleep tracker went haywire today on both our phones, our logged data has changed and is showing bizarre daily totals for sleep history the last few weeks, i know my son didnt sleep 21 hrs in one day, but now it shows that a few days ago. it also changed a nap from 3 days ago as being 48 hours long, instead of the 30 min we logged at the time. We have refreshed/restarted/uninstalled/reinstalled/backed up and restored data, nothing is working to get the correct data back. Also the “view all” screens have a different color scheme, the totals for each day are outlined in a gray bar with gray lettering, its near impossible to read the data at all. It used to be an orange bar with white letters, i cant find anything in BabyTracker showing an option to adjust the color theme. The “help” menu for these issues is completely useless.

Great App, A Few Improvements Needed

2024-04-30

I love BabyTracker and use it to the fullest (tracking sleep, feeding, diapers, weight, etc). I really like the daily summaries for each task so I can quickly see how much my kid has eaten or slept and how much I’ve pumped. The interface is very easy and rather pleasing to use.

There are just three small improvements that would greatly improve the user experience. First, as noted by another reviewer, it would be nice to be able to track how much milk is pumped from each breast. Right now, I have to manually add a note to each session stating how much per side. Second, it would be great to be able to specify how much milk is pumped and eaten down to the tenth or twentieth of an ounce. I don’t express milk in quarter-ounce increments and it’s irritating to have to round up or down each time and, considering I pump 6-9 times per day, a little rounding error each time really adds up. Similarly, my kid doesn’t eat in .25 increments so I’m not able to accurately track how much she is eating. Third, it would be nice if BabyTracker had a function that would take into account how much you’ve pumped and how much your kid has eaten and give you a running total of how much breast milk you have in storage. I briefly used another app that had that feature and really liked it. All in all, these are small-ish nits about an otherwise great app.

*Update - Developer Response* Recent update has frustrating feature

2024-01-22

*Update: Thanks for the developer response.

Good app, but two things make it frustrating to use: 1. The most recent update changed the Tools section to reorder the tools based on what was used last. This is very confusing & makes constant use of BabyTracker more cumbersome because before I knew where each Tool was based on muscle memory, but now it’s always resorting & I have to take extra time to make sure I’m hitting the right tool. Since I’m usually waking up, feeding, and diapering my baby in the same sitting, it doesn’t make sense to have it sort the last used tool at the top because I most likely will be using a different tool immediately after. PLEASE, bring back the way it used to be with the tools just in a set order. 2. The feeding tracker only has oz input, so I am constantly having to convert ml to oz. I’d like it to offer input in either unit of measurement & then display it in both.

Shortcuts/Siri works well, watch support could be better

2024-01-22

This is one of the only baby trackers I’ve found that supports shortcuts and thus Siri - this is amazing, and the single reason why we use this one vs some of the others with better interfaces. Hands free usage is obviously valuable when holding a wiggle monster!

I wish the watch app had a button to manually sync data from the phone, on demand- the babytime watch app does this well: As it is currently, this watch app often doesn’t show what the timers are currently doing until BabyTracker is opened on the phone causing it to sync - this kind of defeats the purpose of the watch app for us (ie trying to avoid having to open the phone as much as possible). We also often want to know what the previous breast used was, and the watch app does not show this info like other apps do - that’s another place we have to open the phone app again to check.

Data could be better

2023-10-02

For months, my son didn't have a lot of predictability with his naps, so I purchased BabyTracker to help track them and get a better idea of his schedule. I have to say, tracking REALLY helps! I love the ability to input events as they happen, including feeding, pumping, and diapers. However, BabyTracker's data charts aren't well-designed. The icon shows a plotted chart, but they only offer bar graphs (no plot points), and the time schedule is on the bottom of the graph (where your current day is at the top—very hard to read, especially in the middle of the night). For the price, I would've appreciated more data features, like for the overview, seeing data over a selected period of time, instead of only the past 7 days or 1 month. Would I purchase this again for that price? Probably not. Maybe for a lower cost. But I gave it 3 stars since I do use it ALL the time... Just wish it was better.

Has been working well but now glitchy

2023-11-02

We’ve been using BabyTracker shared among both parents and grandma, all who take shifts with the newborn, for 7 weeks. It is GREAT because time goes by so weirdly with a small baby and you can easily log diaper changes, feedings and pumping (including duration and volume). And everyone in the household can see the schedule, so handoffs are easy.

But recently it seems to be glitchy—diaper changes or feedings I SWEAR I logged are disappearing, like an entire days worth of diaper changes is missing. Possibly when multiple users have BabyTracker open at once there’s an issue?

One improvement I would suggest is for the mood tracker—add a timer similar to the sleep tracker for crying and fussing. When baby is going through the witching hour or is inconsolable it would be helpful to actually be able to time how long those periods are, as well as log them.

I use this app for myself too!

2024-08-08

I started using BabyTracker for my son when he was a few weeks old. I only used it about a week then slacked off, but that week was enough time to finally know his patterns. He is four months old now and I started happily using it again. I really like the set up of BabyTracker and the different things you can track. The widget is very helpful for me and the Siri and Apple Watch apps are great additions.

I love BabyTracker so much for him that I use it to track my own health! I just add myself as a child. I own a business and am very busy and tend to neglect myself. I always forget to eat, drink, and take my vitamins. This way I can see how long it’s been since I ate and set reminders for myself. Hopefully over time I’ll see a trend in what I do and how it affects my mood. (Hey adults get “fussy” to right?) I know sprout has an adult care app but this one works so much better for my needs and it’s in one place with my baby. Love it!

Love this app

2024-07-28

My son is 22 months old and I have used almost every feature during various parts of the last three years. A new mommy must have!!
My only complaints is the milestones section where you can add your own. (A) there isn’t enough room for everything I want to write on each entry (b) I have well over 500 memories and I know some are duplicates there’s no easy way to filter or scan they them quickly (c). The pdf it generated is huge so I split out the first year of life and sent to Staples online to print in a huge book. It cost approx $150 but it’s got way more details then his baby book! The ability to be able to capture a photo and a memory or note has been priceless! My pregnancy and His whole 1st year is captured, thanks to BabyTracker. I am working on year 2 but BabyTracker is slowing down and it’s getting a little frustrating, but we are almost at his 2nd birthday so BabyTracker is a real gem in my opinion!

Love!!!

2024-08-08

I love BabyTracker. I only use it to track my son’s feedings and sleeping because im not worried about his diaper amount or how often. I’ve only used BabyTracker for about 4 days now and im 100% going to pay for the 3 month premium and probably more. My son is in his 4 month sleep regression so i started using BabyTracker to track his natural routine so that i can set a routine based off that, and i will continue to use BabyTracker to keep up to date on his schedule and make tweaks as we both grow together. I do not breastfeed so I can’t personally say how well that side of things work for BabyTracker , but ive seen reviews of breastfeeding mamas and families who love the features BabyTracker offers. But, as a formula mama, BabyTracker works so well and its easy to use. Thank you for an amazing and stress-free app!!

p.s.
i dont write reviews for ANY apps so the fact i took my time into this should say a lot :)

My baby is almost 5 and I’m still here

2024-08-08

I have been using the Sprout apps since I found out I was pregnant in 2018. The pregnancy and baby apps of Sprout are an amazing way and opportunity to remember and record moments with your little one before and after he/she/they have entered this world.

Pregnant, I was able to upload ultrasound photos, record memories and moments that occurred, experiences we shared, and moments our daughter shared before she entered this world with mommy and daddy.

After birth and to present, I am able to easily access my daughter’s immunization and growth recordings. It is easier for me to observe BabyTracker then search the database of medical records. I still upload photos of my daughter, include her milestones and personal accomplishments, firsts and everything in between.

Time passes so fast and in a blink of an eye my baby I feel like I just welcomed into the world will be 5 in a few months. Tiny memories, thoughts and experiences are lost if they are not recorded in the moment to reflect on in the future. Use BabyTracker, get BabyTracker - baby and pregnancy - you will not regret it EVER!

Thank you Sprout for creating and sharing such a beautiful, timeless piece of love that can be reflected, remembered and shared with my little one. It is highly unlikely these two apps will ever be deleted.

The only app I've ever bought - must have for new parents

2024-08-08

My entire family knows that I am notoriously cheap and absolutely refuse to spend money on iPhone apps. I was using google sheets to keep track of my newborn daughter's sleep/eat/diaper habits and although it was wonderfully free, it was also extremely cumbersome, frustrating and unnecessarily time consuming. I decided to try a handful of iphone apps (including Huckleberry and a couple of free ones) and really liked the intuitive interface and easy to use one handed operation of Sprout. Instead of fumbling around on my phone for five minutes at 3am to record a feeding, I can start/stop/pause a timer and record details with the touch of one, two or maybe three buttons. The graphs make visualization of her routine easy to understand at a glance and with the help of Sprout I have been able to get my 2 month old on a sleep schedule and make sure she's eating enough every day. Well worth $9.99/yr!

Comprehensive Baby Tracking App

2025-06-09

This baby tracking app initially stood out to me for several reasons: syncing across multiple devices, simple and elegant user interface, export to CSV, and options ranging from the basics like feedings, diaper changes, pumping, summaries and trends visualizations that really show how your baby changes over time, etc to more advanced options like growth tracking, medical history, creating medical reports, a “memories” feature to highlight those special moments (that are too easily forgotten), etc. Our special needs infant required medications daily with constantly changing doses and drugs to find the best fit and BabyTracker made it easy to track. Our son’s caregivers used BabyTracker so we always were on the same page and I could easily check if he fed or slept well while at work. The syncing feature is not free, but was worth the few dollars I wold have spent on a Starbucks drink. I highly recommend BabyTracker to anyone who is serious about tracking various aspects of their baby’s growth, development, and daily tasks.

Best Baby App on the market!!

2024-08-12

I’ve been using BabyTracker since my first child was 2 months old. My kids are now 6.5, 4.5 and almost 2 and we still use it regularly for symptom and growth tracking.
BabyTracker does everything you need, all in one place: track breastfeeding and what side you last fed from, bottle feeding, sleep/naps, growth, symptoms, medication, questions for the next dr appointment, you name it! You can even add pictures and memories, keep track of milestones and it has daily play suggestions and tips for the first year. It’s all neatly presented on a newspaper-like overview page.
You can even add pictures to symptoms you add in the symptom tracker which has been amazing for tracking allergic reactions with hives to later discuss them with the doctor. I’ve never had issues with bugs or BabyTracker not working; it’s always been really reliable.
I rarely spent money on apps but this one has been worth every cent!! I’ve even gifted it to several new moms and moms-to-be and they all loved it too.
If you’re torn between BabyTracker and another, forget the other and get this one. You won’t regret it.

Every you need in a tracker.

2024-07-13

I’ve used this for all 3 of my children. Love
That I can look back at my older child’s profile to compare. It’s great with twins because it can be so hard to keep track. The best part is my partner also has BabyTracker so we don’t have to constantly ask “was she wet?” “Did she finish her whole bottle?” “When did they last eat?” It’s all there in BabyTracker that we both has access to in real time! It’s SO EAST TO USE! I set up shortcuts and now just tell Siri to track the activity even if my phone is across the room. I love that the pumping tracker is on here too. One less app to keep track of. I wish it had a way to track frozen breast milk stored, but no way would I knock a star for that. BabyTracker is the best. Track medicine, doctors visits, special moments. It’s allll here 😝as someone who loves organization, I love BabyTracker so much.

Best app for keeping mom’s sane!

2024-07-28

BabyTracker is a life saver! I’m using it for the second time with kiddo #2 and it’s been so helpful. It helped me see patterns in napping and feeding so I can better structure our day. It lets you set reminders so you don’t have to lose your mind or try to remember when to feed and change diapers and nap and all the things we have to remember. When baby is sick I use it to track when we give her meds, and I use it to track pumping as well. I log all her milestones and growth (height, weight, head size), and it has the ability to see her growth curve and what percentile she’s in. And all of these features allow you to see your use over time which is super helpful and generate doctors reports which thankfully I’ve never had to use. On top of all of this the developers are also super responsive. I filled out a survey asking for a new feature and I swear two weeks later it was there and I use it all the time. with my first kid I started off using a couple different apps so I could compare but Sprout is the one I stuck with for two kids. Highly recommend it!!

Great tool!

2024-07-28

As a first time parent, I have no idea what to look out for when it comes to developmental milestones. Sprout’s milestone tab has assisted in keeping me aligned on where my daughter needs to be. But perhaps the most useful tool for me is keeping up with her feedings and diaper change. Entering this information, as long as I remember, was especially important during her first two week doctor’s appointment. When the dr asked how many wet diapers she had in a 24 hr period and how often she fed, I just opened BabyTracker and relayed the information to her. BabyTracker also keeps track of my pumping schedule and helps me track how much I pump on each breast! I do wish they could integrate a conversion calculator (milliliters to ounces). I also like how personalized it feels when they use my daughter’s name and how I am able to add important “first time” dates and pictures of her. My boyfriend downloaded BabyTracker , per my request, and also updates it on his end so that I can keep track of her feeding times. Overall, this is a great resource.

Great! Just one suggestion...

2024-07-28

I spent some time looking at various apps before and after my baby came. For some reason, some of the reviews initially made me skip BabyTracker. I think probably because I was looking for the best app that I could use completely free. I ended up trying out Baby +, but after the first couple days I really didn't like it for various reasons. At the same time my friend who just had a baby too recommended Sprout, so I went ahead and tried it. I love it! Easy to use. Works on both my phone and my husbands. Has everything I've needed so far.

My only suggestion is that it seems to drain my battery a lot when I record a sleep. It's convenient to have a count up timer for feeding and pumping but for sleeping that ideally happens for hours at a time, it really doesn't need a timer that keeps running in the background. It would be great if I could open the tracking, log what time he started sleeping, then come back in to BabyTracker when he wakes up again. Then BabyTracker would calculate for me how long his nap was.

DREAM COME TRUE

2026-01-05

BabyTracker is AMAZING! I had my first little girl 6 years ago. I forgot a lot of things from when she was a baby. I just remember getting her on a schedule fairly easy. Well my baby girl currently is 4 months old and we were struggling with a schedule and her naps were never long enough. I got BabyTracker last week out of desperation to just help a mama out and for 3 days now my daughter is a napping queen. Sleeping 2 a half to 3 hours in the afternoon and 12 hours at night. BabyTracker helped me stay in check with her eating because we realized that she was waking up hungry and not because she was ready to wake up. BabyTracker helped us realize her sleep patterns and even though it was a rough start, we are praising the Lord on how much BabyTracker helped us!!! So thank you so much for creating this and we are recommending everyone we know to download BabyTracker!!!

Truly a remarkable app!

2024-12-16

I am so thankful for BabyTracker! It’s helped me out so much when my mind has been low functioning and sleep deprived, especially in the early months. I wish I had known about BabyTracker before baby came, I had only discovered it after being frustrated with a few other apps I tried early on. BabyTracker is worth the upgrade. I LOVE how I can set several timers at once and nonfiction the times (as sometimes I forget to do it), and the milestone feature is wonderful at remembering things I want to remember happening (i love how you can add your own milestones) and the baby’s development is also reassuring and helpful. One more love, I love the home page that gives you tips on baby and just an overall overview. Really truly a great app, bravo to the makers! I absolutely love it, recommend it, and a big thank you!!!

Every new parent needs this

2024-04-22

We have been tracking our baby’s data for 1 year now. In that time we have achieved the following: 1) transitioned to no nighttime feedings over a 2 week period at 3 months of age 2) monitored the impact of vaccines on her routine, so we could see if she has any adverse reactions (she didn’t) 3) identified when she was having a terrible day so we could keep our perspective 4) prepared reports for the pediatrician in under 5 minutes using the physician report functionality 5) captured at least 1 memory per month in the memories tracker - time goes so fast!!! Next we will be transitioning her from formula to solid foods. BabyTracker has been critical for my husband and I to stay on the same page about our baby, while he stays home full time and I work full time. 10/10 recommend.
