I can understand Italian but reluctant to speak. Now I can see though some dialects are different. Roman Italian. Tuscany Milan. All have a slang. Accents as well. Thank you. Ciao D

I'm learning a lot

I enjoy LearnItalianPhrasesWords. The only downfall that I have with it is that once you put a recording in and then exit out LearnItalianPhrasesWords , it does not save your recording. I hate the fact that I would have to do a whole new recording for each individual one. Other than that, I think LearnItalianPhrasesWords is amazing!!! It still needs improvement, but it's helps me so much.

This is the best there is for basic Italian.

Even with the paid version of LearnItalianPhrasesWords, it's missing some very basic, important phrases, such as "Do you speak English?" and "I don't speak Italian." The favorites feature is handy but very limited since the categories aren't saved to organize the favs. It's also annoying that there are two different voices that speak the phrases, and one of them has horrible sound quality—very muffled and too quiet. If you turn it up loud to understand this voice then the other voice is too loud. These annoyances would be expected and forgiveable in a free app, but I paid $4.99 for this! It needs more content, better sound quality, and better UX on the favorites feature to make it worth this money.

LearnItalianPhrasesWords is the best on the market. It's user interface is brilliantly laid out. You choose the subject matter you wanna learn and off you go. The list format in the subject matter is awesome because every word you're about to learn is at your fingertips, not having to go back and forth between screens. And the subject netter.....LearnItalianPhrasesWords covers it all. The ease of use and the tons of material makes this the best app hands down. Wether you're a nerd or novice, LearnItalianPhrasesWords will help you achieve your goal of learning very basic Italian. You're gonna love it!!!

I love LearnItalianPhrasesWords. I feel like I can get the start of my heritage language. Although LearnItalianPhrasesWords requires to buy for more advanced learning as you go, it's still great bc you can go at your own pace. Plus there's a voice tutor to listen to as many times as needed to get the correct pronunciation . I wish I would have found this sooner. :o)))

This is a great app for learning basic words. I like how it groups words into different categories. I also like how it gives you sentence starters and various options for completing the sentences. You won't be able to hold lengthy conversations, but knowing basic words will allow you to understand what basic Italian conversations are about.

They've included very useful phrases, not "can you play basketball?" But "May I have a glass of water please" and "what do you recommend".

The speaker is very clear and I found it easy to practice along. The record your voice and play it back against the speaker is very useful too.

Easy to navigate through - good for kids and adults to learn together - haven't gotten too far in and it already asks for a rating so I'm hoping it really does dive in deeper and help me built sentences and things, rather than just spouting off random words to communicate what I want :) but pretty good as far as I have gotten

Whether you're traveling to Italy, teaching your children or want to learn yourself-this is a fantastic way to get you started! It is not like Rosetta Stone and certainly will not make you fluent, but it gives you everything that you need for common phrases used in conversation and travel.

My boyfriend is Italian so I need to learn the language. LearnItalianPhrasesWords makes it very easy. I like being able to record myself saying the words as well, I only wish the recordings would save. I would give it five stars if it had more phrases, not just the basics.

When I was a child I lived in an Italian neighborhood and spoke enough Italian to converse with my friends moms. I've since forgotten most of what I knew. My wife and I are planning strip to Italy and this program is helping immensely. I'm surprised at how much is returning to me after all these years.

This is a great app for all those key phrases you want to learn. The ability to slow down pronunciations and record your own voice to compare is terrific. I use LearnItalianPhrasesWords in the car when I'm driving to meetings. Get it.
