I just cancelled my subscription out of frustration. It’s the only mag I have trouble downloading. It beyond frustrating for it to constantly allow you to preview the first few pages then ask you to subscribe to continue. I then go to Apple to check my scripts for the 5th time and realize I have already paid. Hemmings go to Motor Trend and copy their process. Enough already.

Why did they abandon the old site?! It usually worked fine, and I checked it daily for new articles or to browse classifieds. For me, it wasn’t broke, so why replace it?

I guess the old site with the ability to search through all the ads is gone, eh? Such a pity. This magazine app is useless.

?? HemmingsMotorNews is broken. I tried to reinstall many times. What happened to the original app? This is a crome-o resto mod with a blown engine and nos frame.

The new release is almost as slow as before, and now it requires your user name and password every time you open HemmingsMotorNews !!! Other apps remember your login--not this one....Please fix!

Content is still great, that's why I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1/2.

As others have written, Hemmings the magazine is superb. Excellent. A wealth of information. Entertaining. Cant say enough nice things about Hemmings, the magazine.

Hemmings the iPad app. Well, it could be my iPad 2, but other periodicals that I have load well, don't quit for no apparent reason, and download issues very well. Hemmings HemmingsMotorNews takes a while to download each issue, but that could be the enormous file. But once an issue is downloaded, accessing it should be instantaneous, like my other periodicals. But it's not. It's feels like its accessing the Internet again (?) for the issue, which is as far as I know sitting in my iPad. Takes a while to open up each downloaded issue.

Also, Hemmings the iPad app quits for no reason while I am flipping thru the 500+ pages of this wonderful periodical.

I still gave Hemmings a 4 star rating. Fix some of the access issues, and it'll get a 5+ rating!

I've thoroughly enjoyed this super automobile magazine/catelog/classified for years, now it is even better on the iPad. The articles/classifieds are much easier to read than the print version with the ability to really zoom in on the beautifully photographed automobiles.

You can buy a single issue for $4.99 or a three month reoccurring subscription for slightly more.

****be sure to be in a strong wifi before trying to download issue, it takes forever and they don't stay in memory.****

The issues are beautiful and nice to flip through, they look just like the publication.... But again...don't plan to be at the hospital, airport or your sister in-laws when your starting to download the issues.

Hemmings is a great publication...in print. HemmingsMotorNews hangs up when loading and sometimes does not load at all. If, and when it starts, browsing through an issue can be painfully slow. Navigating through an issue is more difficult than previous versions as some options have been removed. If you like Hemmings, stick with the paper version!

No other magazine compares....and ipad app works much better after updates a few months back.

I'll repeat what others have already said; it takes a very, VERY long time to download one issue (12 minutes for the March 2014 issue with a full strength wifi signal!). but to add insult to injury it processes each page after the download which makes reading the magazine almost painful.
I love Hemmings, but HemmingsMotorNews is a true stinker.

The magazine is great, HemmingsMotorNews needs some work, very slow loading. At times, I just don't have the patience to even read the magazine. I'm using an IPad 3

I get all of the Hemmings in digital form. Every car mag that I can fit in my carry on. It's a wonderful thing.

App makes me re-download the issue almost every time I use it. Big pain because it also looses your place when it erases the issue each time. Called customer service and they were no help. Unfortunately can’t save a tree - stick to the printed issue.

Just used it on a four hour flight and it helped me forget how uncomfortable I was. E-Hemmings.....the only way to go!

Even better than the printed version.

Downloads continually hang. Does not recognize. My account. The other Hemmings online magazines work fine -this one is crap. Zero stars for HemmingsMotorNews - the content is great.

Paid my money and only got the first four pages of the only issue I'll ever make the mistake to try to buy. Stay away!

Ok. Works well, but when I try to archive old issues, app closes abruptly.

I have had to delete HemmingsMotorNews often when it stops working. I keep reloading to start over. When it works, HemmingsMotorNews is quite good.
