Anime Amino Reviews

AnimeAmino was still fairly new when I first got it and in the beginning it was amazing. I made friends on there, I saw interesting posts and even got introduced to anime I’ve never seen before. But as time went on it changed, it went from being a place where people could go to make friends with similar interests and see interesting posts about anime and the characters and everything, to a place where posts are becoming irrelevant to the apps purpose, more and more people who are just looking to “hook up” are coming in, and the wholesomeness of the community is just, gone. At least to me it is. I deleted my account and AnimeAmino a while ago because of these reasons and I’m not trying to tell me not to get it, all I’m saying is this, AnimeAmino is not what it used to be.

I followed all of the rules and guidelines. But had all of my art removed and was banned for not being “Japanese or Korean enough” to be a mangaka. My manga is published and I let people read it for free. There’s a category for Webtoons my manga is on wedtoons when I started getting likes blossy told me because anyone can publish on webtoons my manga can’t be a manga or anime, keep in mind anyone can publish anything if they know how so it was just me being discriminated against for my skin color and heritage. her friends are aloud to post oc characters and do what ever. Oh and the minute they removed all my post, my page was spammed with pornographic links by third party advertisers that blossy would let stay up longer then my art.

Neat idea to have everyone with a common interest in one app, but the community here is horrible. Not toxic, but more towards attention seeking post, suicidal post, drawing post everywhere, role playing, etc., there’s little to no conversation being held about anime or is there any effort to start one. The algorithm for flagging is out of control, don’t know if it’s a bot or human behind it but don’t grow attach to your account because eventually it will get disabled. Customer service is no help if that happens, they just give you a copy and paste response saying they can’t do anything about it but give no reason why it happen. This has occurred to many but there doesn’t seem to be any solution for it.

Before AnimeAmino used to be fenomenal easy to find what fits for you it practically had almost everything from anime chats about shows to role playing to simple socializing without being excluded but now it’s really lost its best audience. Now the community has really narrowed down to a bunch of edgy and depressed teens who barely got into anime recently and can be extremely toxic or boring. Despite being npc’s AnimeAmino was also forced to be extremely restrictive and basic just like every other social media application. AnimeAmino has its potential but now that it lost its best audience in a few years it’ll be forgotten because these teens will grow out of this phase

I love AnimeAmino very much but I rate it a 3 Stars because of the creators I’d rate it a 1 maybe a 2 but I gave it 3 because of my friends I made using AnimeAmino . But Sadly I absolutely hate the creators of AnimeAmino due to how there guidelines I follow every single one of them and I tested it, if I follow everything they tend to hate my posts and make them hidden even though Its about anime and my followers who ask me to make posts get banned. Then when I post something about anime and using drugs just to see how they respond they keep them up. Yet when I talk about in Global chat nothing is wrong but I share a post with anyone in the world they seem to ban them. So I’d say if you want a good app to meet people who like anime use this one if you want an app where you like to post about anime don’t there too stricted.

[2017]I really like AnimeAmino since I have many friends on it. I have other social medias but I don't see a point on why you should get it. But in here I like how you could talk about anything related to anime. So AnimeAmino is a must for anime fans to express themselves

[2019]Okay, so, it's been around two years since my last review for AnimeAmino. AnimeAmino is still great and all, though the community is slowly dying. But still active. During the years, you guys added a lot more features from voice chat, screening rooms, Amino+ and now being able to send videos from your camera roll. I'm not sure if it's just me, but AnimeAmino has been very laggy as time goes on. Probably due to the new features you guys keep on adding, I have trouble navigating around AnimeAmino . What's worse is, the Amino app is worse than Anime Amino. My app freeze often, which is something I can't handle, so I never use the Amino app. If this isn't a problem only I am facing and others have similar problems, I wish you guys could fix the issue. I can't stay on AnimeAmino long without it getting laggy, slow and sometimes even crashing.

I’ve had AnimeAmino for a couple years now and I’m still in love. I’ve made so many amazing friends and memories and I have AA to thank for it. My only issue is that it needs another update. Nothing major, just to fix some bugs. There’s this bug where when you’re scrolling through the conversations in your inbox, you don’t always see the most recent message sent. You’ll often see a message sent weeks ago even though you text that person daily. Another bug is one where at random moments while you’re in a back and forth conversation, the messages will suddenly appear out of order. This makes it so that when you scroll up, you see like 12 of your own messages as if they were all sent in a row and if you’d scroll above that, there will be 12 different responses sent by the other person in a row. It can be very frustrating. I have to keep refreshing and restarting AnimeAmino every time I encounter a bug which doesn’t always fix the problem. So please please please give AnimeAmino another update! Thank you <3

So I’ve been getting flagged for really weird reasons recently. So I tested it out. I posted a screenshot from Snapchat of a funny meme and it didn’t get flagged. Then I posted a picture of a horoscope from Snapchat and it got flagged. I feel like this whole “keep the content relevant” thing is not full proof enough to work. I posted a poll about BTS and it got flagged, while when another person did it, it stayed. At this rate I’m gonna get banned so please make it at least fair. If your gonna flag me the flag them. If your gonna let my post stay then let their post stay. Another thing is to make a page or something on how to actually use AnimeAmino . When I first started using AnimeAmino, I had to ask random strangers how to do stuff because there wasn’t a tutorial on AnimeAmino. I’m still having trouble to this day. Other than these two problems AnimeAmino is greate and I really love it that’s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 1. Thank u

Ok so I love AnimeAmino but people keep flagging my post for no reason. Recently I’ve been posting pictures about candy sushi and a new WEBTOON and they have been flagged for no reason. I read the rules to make sure that if I was doing something wrong well in the rules it says that keep the post relevant to what AnimeAmino is about and sushi comes from the Asian culture and anime comes from the Asian culture so I have no idea why that isn’t relevant to anime it even had a little animation of sushi on it. The webtoon that I posted was about an manga about BTS am I stupid or something I am pretty sure manga is in the same category as anime. Anime came from a manga. So fix this so that I don’t get banned from AnimeAmino for no reason. Because I love AnimeAmino and I’m doing pretty good.

AnimeAmino is great but to be a social media about anime only using an application is a minus points anime amino should also have a web browser because PC does much more then mobile and some ppl believe is not worth downloading an app on your phone, another problem is the polls I was trying to make a poll for the end of a year on a series I enjoy that have over 20 characters I couldn't do it because a poll gives you only up to 5 options maybe if anime amino is on pc I would be able to make all of the 25 characters in a single poll I had to make 5 separated polls, but in all anime amino is a great app were you can make friends that also love anime.

All right, four stars. In all, I love AnimeAmino , I've been there for over +2 years and it's amazing. I like the new voice chat and screening feature! But, the avatar is seriously creepy. I took a picture of myself and my avatar turned out like some kind of slender man. Honestly, it's either AnimeAmino has an issue or I look like slender man.

Issue with the Screening Room: I like it however, in group chats, it's actually possible for the other members (non-organizers) to change the name and pic of the chat.

Coins Update: I hate how I have to buy Amino+, but I have coins. Yet, they expect us to earn 400 coins for a month/5999 for a year. Like seriously? Why can't we earn certain amount of coins to buy stickers??

Flagging: Honestly, I have people flagging my posts because they're not anime related. First, they are!! It's advertising but it's all anime related!!!

Bans: Curators/Leaders ban members for no reason, I had a friend who got banned, for NO reason!

Overall I loved it back then it was more active and tons of people of different ages! Nowadays, there’s a bunch of kids only talking about the newer anime and forgetting all the OG ones.. but that’s not the point, there isn’t much people on AnimeAmino anymore like it used to. I’ve been using it again recently and it’s kinda slow as in not much happening, but that’s totally fine! You don’t need so much to happen all at once.. I really do enjoy using AnimeAmino before and I’m enjoying it now too!

I love AnimeAmino very much and I have met a lot of great people through chatting with them. AnimeAmino is a great way for fellow otakus to chat and find other friends like themselves. However lately I have been having an issue where my app keeps freezing upon opening it and I don’t know how to fix it. I’ve tried reinstalling AnimeAmino and resetting my phone but I just can’t get past the home page without it freezing. If I could get some advice on how to fix this problem that would be nice.

Honestly, I love AnimeAmino. I’ve been on it for two years. Out of those two years this is the first real problem I have with AnimeAmino . I have a notification that won’t let me open it unless I “upgrade”. I’ve deleted and reinstalled my app and I’ve signed out, but it’s still there. In my opinion, AnimeAmino is better than Snapchat because it has a better way of connecting with people and “acceptable” guidelines. I have made many friends within AnimeAmino itself by just chatting. I highly recommend AnimeAmino to people who like to chat about specified categories as well. It really helps a lot!
