Photo Album Private Manager Reviews

I used to love PhotoAlbumPrivateManager but recently they had an update and PhotoAlbumPrivateManager would crash anytime I tried to open it. I even bought the pro version to see if that would work and it didn’t so I sent them a message and they said they were fixing it, fine. So fast forward a couple of days and they fixed the crashing, but I went on PhotoAlbumPrivateManager and all of my pictures and albums were gone. I had a ton of pictures of my dog that I had to recently put down, all of my family pictures on there, and much more. So, again, I sent them a message asking if there was anyway that I could access these pictures because I would be devastated if I could not get them back and this time the creators read my message but didn’t answer me back. If you’re going to allow people to contact you guys for issues maybe not use Facebook messenger where people can see that you read their message! Terrible customer service, terrible app. Only use if you’re completely fine with the risk of losing ALL OF YOUR PICTURES. If you aren’t, find a different app. I regret giving them money for such a crap product and I’d give them 0 stars if I could.

Update: Got a message back saying my app was uninstalled and that’s how I lost my data but I can access them if I backed them up on the Dropbox app. What’s the point of PhotoAlbumPrivateManager if it wants you back them up on ANOTHER photo app? 😂 Now, I know to just cut out the middle man and use the Dropbox app to begin with.

This is a great app that allows you to better manage you photo library - however, it needs to be updated to meet new potential of iOS 13. Importation of photos is limited to only from “Photos” or “Dropbox” - app should integrate with the new “Files” app to allow import from any folder on device or even from memory sticks! Also, the sharing functions need to be better streamlined to work and function like the rest of iOS 13.

If PhotoAlbumPrivateManager doesn’t get updated to the more robust iOS features, it will soon become obsolete .....

Not a bad app. Should be able to make unlimited albums but apparently not with PhotoAlbumPrivateManager. Also to hard to sort your pictures within albums. Would love to de able to label an individual or each picture within the album as well. Needs to be able to move pictures back to iPhone photos if necessary. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Works well and easy to use. I would like the sort mode to allow sorting by capture date or by file name. Currently only allows manual sorting. I would also like to be able to display the photo Title and Caption in photo view or slide show. Without these features it is not much better than Apple Photos for me.

Only a few issues. Still, for years now, I’ve been waiting for other backup options besides Dropbox. Many of us use Google or other backup systems. Adding the option to add your own would make it a much better product.
Also, syncing between devices is number one on my wishlist. I have an iPhone and an iPad, and they just don’t sync. Why? They both have access to my iCloud. This should be seamless.
Besides that, I love the product, but these shortcomings keeps me every once in a while scanning for an alternative.

Great little app but has some glitches at time (using Face ID it makes you scan twice every single time so I just took it off, there was a 6 month period it was showing me a pop up every time I opened it saying I hadn’t done something that when I checked I had that I couldn’t resolve and then finally it went away). Other than that I love the albums and organization capabilities so I haven’t given up on it! Just minor inconveniences

I’ve used PhotoAlbumPrivateManager for quite long with no problems, but Lately, I’ve been trying to add photos from my iPhone to a specific folder in te app and when the it’s looking in my photo album it crashes, so I can’t add the photos. I have to repeat the steps and it happens the same every time. Please Fix it.

I so appreciate the non-subscription model here. Overall, it’s a great app. I do ave a few suggestions.

- make it to where you can zoom in on videos and it stays in the zoomed position instead of bouncing back to standard size when you release your fingers.
- it would be helpful to be able to select multiple photos and apply batch tags to them.
- get rid of the colored passcode screen.
- if you leave PhotoAlbumPrivateManager for a second, when you come back you can see the least viewed item momentarily. That needs fixing.
- enable the sidebar miltitasking ability.
- ability add photos from files app or wi-fi sharing... and ability to share to other devices through wi-fi.
- mid-screen time scrubbing would be nice (see aloha browser’s full screen video capabilities)

Okay... so more than a few ;) but still a very solid app. Good job!

Honestly, the only reason I’m leaving a review is because every time I open PhotoAlbumPrivateManager (I have the paid version) it asks. Because of that, I took away a star. I use this for storing and organizing my photos and have for over 6 years. I like that you can delete them from library once they’re added. Also, the paid version has a duplication feature which works pretty well. I wish there was an option for subfolders.

So, I tried PhotoAlbumPrivateManager and I love it it’s great for saving storage in your iCloud. But there is a little something that’s still ticks me off. So I was loving it, then I tried to make another folder and it said you have to get the premium version….like…..WHAT THE HECK!! Why do I NEED the premium just to save space like…do you even have a soul?!!!

4/5 until the following is changed. This would be 5 stars, but when you move photos over from IOS to this program it leaves/adds a slight white line on your pictures. Maybe one pixel, some may not care but the way I edit/post my photos this makes it more work and I am not a fan. I bought PhotoAlbumPrivateManager and I will be looking for an alternative until this is fixed.

Great app for saving photos you don’t want your kids or strangers or anyone else to see lol Love the delete feature to delete photos from camera roll after uploading. Also love additional passwords option for individual albums in addition to the apps passcode!

I rely on PhotoAlbumPrivateManager so much. I’ve checked out other photo manager apps along the way but this one continues to stand out, especially sorting photos in an album.
Updating to iOS 18.1 on iPad encountered a new problem: crashing when moving photos between albums. Eben has been great about updating PhotoAlbumPrivateManager and I’ll be glad when this bug gets fixed.

I am a diesel technician and marine engineer. I have been using PhotoAlbumPrivateManager for over close to 8 years. I’m able to save every picture of every boat I’ve ever fixed or worked on and it makes it easy to go back and reference issues or parts or find anything from the past. All documented in one place.

I’ve been using PhotoAlbumPrivateManager for a few years now. Probably the best app I’ve ever used. Love that I can make different albums/files for different things. Each one holds an amazing amount of pictures. I store things here that I don’t want cluttering up my phones photo album but I still want easily accessible.

Ok so I'm sure most of you want to know if there's a limit to pictures/videos or 💲money version. Yes there is a money version and there's probably a limit BUT so far, it let me save 40 pics/vids without a limit. Also, you can add a passcode, so to me it's worth it. I haven't bought the full version but I personally don't think I need more than 50 photos on there. To me, PhotoAlbumPrivateManager is great. Use with your own preference I guess.🤗

Just downloaded the free app my wife located for me; first 24 hours on my iPhone 6 were very frustrating as I never updated to "8". Your app calmed this 64 yr old down quickly with its ease of use and such great (and immediately gratifying) results!! The cussing and swearing stopped on my part within minutes of beginning my task of sorting and creating new albums - and I was really pleased to be able to use pictures in several albums - like up-close snaps of folks in vacation or party situations again in family collections! Sweet! Easy! Free! ...and the ads haven't been intrusive so far but I may buy the big one soon. Keep developing such awesome apps for folk like me who remember the days of "party line" telephones!!!

Every thing about PhotoAlbumPrivateManager is nice except for one thing. I am 70 and do not understand how to use a Dropbox to backup my information I have stored in PhotoAlbumPrivateManager . Can’t you just get it to sync with iCloud so I can restore it if I ever have a problem with the phone. I purchased the full version and am very happy with PhotoAlbumPrivateManager and use it every day. The extra lock out is a great feature for those private pictures.

I love PhotoAlbumPrivateManager so much! It keeps photos of everything I have in my closet and it is so easy to use and I like the fact that you can have a password that way if you don’t want someone to go through your photos then they have a passcode! You are able to delete the photo from your photos after you put it in PhotoAlbumPrivateManager and PhotoAlbumPrivateManager will keep it! But do remember if you want to delete PhotoAlbumPrivateManager and have already deleted the photo then screenshot the photo then delete PhotoAlbumPrivateManager ! It’s simple and easy to use! Best decision ever! Thank you!

I've been searching for a good photo album app and happy to say I found one I like. I like that I have the option of deleting the photos I've uploaded from my phone photo album. So far I haven't been limited to how many photos I can upload
