There is a Thanksgiving special to get FloridaToday 3 months for $2.99. When I clicked on it, it reconfirmed the price of $2.99 for 3 months. When it went to FloridaToday Store to complete the purchase, it said to confirm for $7.99. I reluctantly clicked confirm, hoping that it meant the price after the 3 months were up. The purchase was denied due to insufficient funds. I had $7 in my account, which means it tried to charge me the $7.99 rather than the advertised price of 3 months for $2.99. Fortunately for me, I am not out money and cheated, but this needs to be fixed! How many others were charged for this? This is deceptive and dishonest!

You used to have I believe 50 free articles to read a month now it’s literally one. I’ve seriously only been able to read one article a months since about November. I can go on their website and read it fine so why can’t I read it on my app? I don’t really have the extra money to subscribe and I really don’t want too. I guess unless your willing to dish out money you don’t get to know what’s going on in your community.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Florida today has gone down hill an extreme amount, too much fake news and misleading headlines. The people running their social media sites are incredibly unprofessional and are clearly amateurs. And they actually expect you to pay for their garbage online articles that you can read anywhere else for free. It’s a complete joke. Don’t bother subscribing or paying unless you like wasting your money.

I have become increasing dissatisfied with your content. As an example, you’ve given far too much time to the activist that was fired over her COVID data. It’s too emotional and lacks newsworthy facts. You have given too much credence on just her account of the situation.

You have drifted more and more to liberal issues and only given conservative issues cursory lip service. As a liberal might say “I am greatly offended”

I have the paid version, but still get old articles. It takes too long to get current data on the coronavirus. I know the state is releasing the data later in the day, but other news sources provide it the same day.
Carry same articles for days without many new articles.

I paid for my Sunday print edition and full digital access. It’s absolutely impossible to use FloridaToday because: I log in ( or so it seems, bc in settings I can logout!) BUT after I click Continue it loops forever asking me to login, then confirm my credentials, login, confirm account, login.... never letting me get beyond that screen!
I can just open FloridaToday and read some news like everyone else - but I subscribed!!!
Don’t waste the few dollars for FloridaToday, maybe try the website - no guarantees though.

Under iOS 12 it worked very smoothly. After updating to iOS 13 it crashes 2 to 4 times per time reading an edition. It also “loses” the password. Does the same on my iPad. We can only hope someone is busy updating FloridaToday .

Overall a fan and daily reader of Florida Today. I love the local perspective and detailed info.

As a subscriber, I’m not a fan of the many distracting advertisements. Many development stories also lack an environmental impact perspective.

Good coverage of local news and important issues. Substantive coverage of the problems with the Indian River Lagoon and excellent job keeping us informed about hurricanes. Strong reporters who work hard to get the real story, and get it right.

Not mention being totally ignored by those I have spoken with. So let’s see if this get’s any attention! I am a beta tester for apple. Having said that I can tell you that when I find a issue I tell apple about it. I also sometimes alert FloridaToday coders themselves as is the case here.

FloridaToday has a severe problem with focus. Generally it is just the photos but it can also be text. I have informed Gannet of this problem as well as the big chief editor of Florida Today. I did this before the official release of the latest iPad iOS release. Thinking they might like to fix the problem before the release.

Guess I was wrong. They have totally ignored the issue.

Can you say captured market? Ninety five percent of the people will never complain they just put up with the problem or find some other way to solve the problem. End results companies go out of business as their base disappears!
