Bilingual Child: Learn Spanish Reviews

Please critically read the positive reviews. Just because something is "fun" and "easy" doesn't mean it's effective. I am a 44 year old man and downloaded BilingualChild for free when it was featured in "apps gone free", so I have absolutely no reason to rate BilingualChild poorly because I feel I was cheated or whatnot. That said, if you pay a single cent for BilingualChild, you are being swindled. Within seconds of starting, I completed two levels by simply dragging the image of a thing I was familiar with into a box. One character calls the thing by its name in English, another character says its name in Spanish. Regardless of whether you've understood the Spanish term, as long as you correctly move the image into the box, BilingualChild assumes you've "learned" the Spanish term and you move on. In the two seconds it took me to advance through the first level, I'd already completely forgotten the Spanish word for "cat," because there was no incentive to remember it. Simply dragging the image portraying the word to its place implied that its Spanish counterpart had been learned, but I was simply relying on its English term and corresponding image in order to "win" that level ("cat" + picture of a cat = I know the Spanish word for cat).
It's a worthless app that will only give the illusion of "learning."

I'm a single mom and like others, I always hope that my son will have a bright future with his ability. This is the reason why I really want he has a chance getting access to 2 languages at the same time and I choose Spanish for him. Despite his amazing ability of learning languages, I also help him with vocabulary exercises. I know BilingualChild thanks to a next-door friend, I try and feel it's so awesome. BilingualChild surmerse my son into animated books, where characters Lucy and Carlos, teach vocabulary effectively. I'm so glad to say BilingualChild is a work of art!

This game is definitely able to enhance children's interest in learning English and Spanish, especially picking up vocabulary through adorable graphics as well as clever animation deliver language instruction in a game-play format. Besides that, when turning up on the screen, new words always go with ones in each language above the character’s head. That's the best way for children to have chance studying languages effectively.

BilingualChild is a perfect start to my 3-year-old nephew’s foreign language education, both English and Spanish. One thing I like best is that BilingualChild seems to be animated books, which include animals, colors, numbers, shapes, parts of the body, parts of the face, mode of transportation, clothing items, animals and also numbers. Keep up the good work!

My 3 year old is 100 percent native Spanish speaker but desperate for some Spanish game, I bought this. Didn’t unlock even though said purchased and iTunes charged me. I tried again individual and whole game. After 20 min BilingualChild still doesn’t unlock and now charged me 3 times and does offer how to contact help just takes you to some social media page to follow him. And honestly BilingualChild is eh. And English speaker won’t learn from it. It barely worked for my son and maybe it didn’t. The vocabulary he mostly knew

I'm working as a principal of a nursery school in the city. To respond parents' demand, I'm trying to find out the best way to make children learn Spanish effectively. After playing with BilingualChild, I think that this is one I want to have. Nothing better than learning a brand new language through several chains of amination

BilingualChild is terrible. I bought “all books” and it won’t let me access my purchases. I requested a refund from Apple, which they denied without reason, and there’s nothing I can do. Apparently Apple does not have an obligation to make a return, even with a valid reason. I tried contacting BilingualChild developer but the link takes you to a media page with no contact information. Don’t be fooled by BilingualChild. Don’t waste your money. Zero stars for BilingualChild.

Like I said this is a great learning app for a fantastic opportunity for a child to become bilingual. This learn Spanish for kids really captures my daughters attention and BilingualChild has actually helped her learn some basic Spanish in a short period of time. This is a must download in my opinion. Great job!!!

Fun and educational app for learning spanish. The games are simple enough for kids to understand, but challenging enough to teach real spanish. I recommend purchasing all the books as well for more great spanish learning.

I only downloaded this to warn others to read the reviews. They are all fake! It's pretty entertaining to read them- all have similar sentence structure, phrasing and bad grammar - mistakes that a native English speaker wouldn't make. And - many have the same quotes! Hysterical! I love the made up names too- because it's so authentic when you add '88' behind a name! lol I'm deleting it now....

BilingualChild is a scam. When you try to buy it - spending $12, once you get charged nothing happens, nothing is unlocked. Tried it on two devices and no difference. I’m surprised Apple allow such junk to be in BilingualChild Store. BTW, if you buy BilingualChild you are going to spend a lot of time trying to get your money back.

I try for two hour trying to resolved a number sequence no matter what i fail. I even when online and they no found the answer in a number sequence calculator. Could be around 100 combination but I believed the they program it is broken. Why no used a simple 8 digit password.

I recently downloaded this into my kids old iPad but I can't seem to be able to unlock the whole package... And I cant get through support. Help please.

Excellent app!! Very educational and the interface is luscious and easy to navigate! A must download for any parent!

I love BilingualChild for my 3 year old. He loves playing it but when I try to unlock all the parts of BilingualChild it doesn’t let me. I’m very disappointed because I thought BilingualChild was perfect for my son to begin learning Spanish. If this is fixed it will be great!

This bilingual app is a great tool to learn Spanish for kids. So easy to use and understand. It's really helpful.

Developer was proud of the revenue increase from in app purchases but too bad the content doesn’t actually get delivered if you are family sharing - seems to defeat the purpose of a kids apps targeted to the under 7

We loved BilingualChild. Unlocked all the content. Then, we got a new device, and it will not allow us to restore our purchases. I would be more than happy to change my review if this problem is resolved.

I just bought BilingualChild today and it's not working in my iPad mini, it opens and sounds but the blocks with spanish names never show.

I would like a refund. Please. Thank you.
