The app overall runs smoothly and my phone is fairly old. App wise it is limited on the types of exercises offered in app. However, earning medals inside the game to be able to unlock story content and more exercises is a great way to keep a person motivated to keep doing the exercises. You could cheat but where is the fun in that. I haven't finished the story or unlocked a whole lot of things yet but the story more seems a little weird and unnatural. Though I am curious to see how the story line end for some reason. Maybe I am hoping for something big to happen at the end. I think if they let you track your runs while having the character chime in every so often more like normal fitness apps I would probably like is a lot more. Also if they incorporated actual work out routines that would add a nice polish to it.

A fairly cheap app that doesn’t confuse you with a ton of complex exercises/routines, and even includes a counter (something surprisingly missing from other apps i’ve tried)! Not to mention the plot and different difficulty levels really help on days where you’re not feeling so hot. The caveat is that personally I think this app is only worth it when you buy access to the other exercises, which inflates the overall cost to more around $3-$5; depending on your circumstances, this could be a dealbreaker. Otherwise this has been a pretty great way of getting into the habit of daily exercise! If you go by the motto that “something is better than nothing”, this app fits in perfectly.

This app is truly inspired, but just lacks a few things that would give it that last bit of polish. For example: I really wish that there were a few other excercises/ stretch-routines that would help keep the muscle build-ups balanced while using the app as well as a cardio option to help mix things up a bit between each chapter of the story. Another thing that I noticed when just starting out with the app, was that Mayu tells you that you shouldn't be working out everyday so that you can recover; the app (on the other hand) does not.
