WTOL 11 Weather Reviews

New update is terrible, doesn't open to map as before, a bunch of needless menu boxes. You have to select a menu box to open upon app opening. New daily and hourly forecasts are terrible looking. They just took a great app and made it worthless. App just keeps getting worse with each update. Opens with an ad first, and full of adverts using junk. Menus are crap. When it first came out it was the best weather app out there. Now it's just full of bloat ware and slow.

I have always relied on WTOL11Weather and the First Alert Weather Team, but WTOL11Weather is not nearly as good as it used to be. I hate to say this, but 13 ABC, WTVG’s weather app is now a lot better. They give you the next 6 hours of weather, not 4 hours like your app does. Their radar screen display is larger, they have a closing section and seems to be better organized, even though both apps appear to be designed by the same people. Please go back to your old version and update it, so you are back to being the weather leader you and your app used to be.

I think WTOL11Weather needs an update or something. It has been taking a long time to open compared to before. It just shows the background screen for a while before any of the data loads up.

Of all of the weather stations I have listened to, WTOL 11 always seems to get it right the first time. They show it all from daily to hour, radar is greatest and I really appreciate the “ road conditions “ they report. You can choose a location , take a picture to send, and they quickly respond to any questions you may have. Traffic conditions are a “ must “ and you truly can “ plan your day” around their reports. I appreciate them all for a stellar channel. God bless.

Keeps telling me not available in my location. It’s always worked before. I live in Lucas county how does it not work here? The new update I think screwed something up.

Just watched WTOL11 weather forecast on TV and it’s not the same forecast info on WTOL11Weather . Now, I realize with the civic-19 going on that some things might change, but c’mon people! Let’s take the appropriate action to keep WTOL11Weather info “current” or what would be the point of having this weather app...right???

WTOL11Weather is great but not a five star at this point, I would give it a four an half star. The problem I have with it is that sometimes it won’t load and I have close WTOL11Weather and wait a few minutes and restart it, then it takes a minute or two to get loaded, but beside that it’s great, keep it going and thank you.

Fairly accurate with the weather! From the winds to the downfall of rain or snow.

Some of your competitors have nice almanac info on the weather. Why don’t you guys have it? Also your weather app is identical to channel 13. What’s up with that?

It’s good to know Toledo’s weather while living in FL for friends & family here as well as when we return for family events & holidays!

There are times when the forecast that is given on the nightly TV newscasts DO NOT match what shows on WTOL11Weather ! Very frustrating!!

With 1 touch I can check out the rest of the day weather and make me aware of any potential storm threats during my day

What has been changed is very annoying it that it is constantly prompting me to update. Then when I do try to update it tells me the version is not applicable to my device asking to download WTOL11Weather . VERY ANNOYING!!!'

I enjoy reading the weather two or three times a day thank you so much for keeping me posted I’m 82 years old and I always want to know what the weather is thank you again

The weather is very important to know because I drive a long distance to work. I regularly check the Channel 11 website to help me plan my daily commute.

I check the hourly forecast every day so I can plan my schedule. I depend on it so I don’t waste time planning outside activity and have rain. Indoor projects can usually wait, if I plan well. It’s great that the predictions are pretty accurate most of the time. Love it !!! Thanks.

App is garbage. Radar is inconsistent and not accurate. Constant ads and alerts about nothing. It gets really annoying when you are trying to look at their crappy radar and a carpet ad kicks in. You always have to watch their videos to get updates and it crashes regularly.

I love how fast and accurate this weather app is! And you can click on any city as well, not just your current location. You can also set it up to give you weather alerts which is very useful when you’re out and about

This is a very convenient app for me to get local Toledo, Ohio weather on the go. I’m a sales representative/vendor and work outside in the elements, so whenever I feel the need, I open it for a quick update and I’m good to go. The hourly forecast and up to the minute radar makes it quick and easy to use for my liking.

Everytime I open it the commercial for pizza or something just freezes and that’s all it does. Yes my phone is up to date and its an IPhone 10x. Please update or I will just use 13 ABC.

I only want to receive severe alerts I have alerts turned off for every other thing and I constantly get alerts telling me that you’ll need sunglasses or some other garbage like that I don’t want those annoying alerts. If these don’t stop I’m going to have to delete WTOL11Weather .

Alert button being pressed for rain showers, instead of being reserved serious weather. Getting as bad as the news cast overusing Breaking News. What happened to the boy that cried wolf?

This new update needs another update. Upon opening, it says it is raining when it is actually sunny(one of the fees times we have had sun the last few weeks). Just had a heavy storm and radar was showing nothing

I have used WTOL11Weather for a long time and have been very happy with it until this update. The screen will not rotate to landscape. It is very annoying.

This use to be a great app. Now we have to wade thru a zillion ads and jump thru hoops just to see the forecast.

I was very happy with WTOL11Weather but suddenly I have lost access to current conditions like current temp, wind chill, humidity. What has changed and why have they been removed?

I have loved having WTOL11Weather for years however, it hasn’t worked at all for several days now. Absolutely won’t open. It does this several times a year, so I think it must need an update.

I believe WTOL11Weather also needs an update. Too many times I need WTOL11Weather and it will not fill in. Becoming very disappointed.

WTOL11Weather was amazing prior to the latest update. Easy to navigate, with all of the most important information shown on the screen when WTOL11Weather opened. Now, it's a hot mess. You have to swipe through annoying little boxes to find what you want (or worse, use the complex drop down menu), and when you finally find what you're looking for, the information presented is terribly designed: too much clutter! Looking for a new weather app, which is such a shame because this one used to be the best one out there.

This is my favorite weather app! Great local weather clips and I enjoy the radar no matter where I am in the country!❤️❤️
