Much like the hardware store that jacks up the price of snow shovels in the middle of a blizzard, so too will this app screw you over at the wrong time. It provides for entry of 20 contractions for free. That lasted about 1.5 hours, and just as my wife started a really painful contraction, this app told me that I had to upgrade, which of course I did. "What's going on, this really hurts," she says. "Hold on honey, just need to enter the credit card info, you doing okay?"
Of course, when you update, your prior information does not port over to the app you just paid for, meaning as your wife is in labor and screaming at the top of her lungs, "What the hell is my frequency?," you can't tell her all that effectively.
Bottom line, do not get the free version of this app. Either pay the $0.99 well in advance (the program was working fine while we used it) or avoid it altogether. A little more disclosure by the designer would have been appreciated. My wife thanks you.

Great app concept. It really is. HOWEVER, in this free option the company does not tell you that you are limited to 20 contractions. I should have read reviews before downloading, but they should also put that in the description. This is a great app with a horrid, sneaky marketing strategy. Contractions and labor are not the time to try and trick someone into purchasing an app after 20 contractions. I will not purchase the non-trial version of this app on principal. Even though it is the one I like the most and have found easiest to use. Tell people this is a trial!!! Really cruel way to reel users in. And looking at other comments/reviews, I am not alone. Way to ruin a solid service with horrible marketing strategies.

App only stores 20 contractions, then makes you upgrade to keep records of more. Problem is, this really only happens mid labor (when you don't need surprises) and it doesn't transfer the data to the paid version.... Which means all you data is disconnected and might as well be deleted anyway. But, in the throws of labor, you don't know this, so you just pay to upgrade and then you realize your data starts over. I'm sure they list it somewhere, but seemed like a bait and switch to me.
If the data transferred with the upgrade and they made it more clear that you have to upgrade to go passed 20, it would have had 5 stars, in my opinion.
