Quran Explorer Reviews

A lot have people (regardless if I know them or not), have said that QuranExplorer is great for Quran. The updates have been great. Except for one. In the current version of QuranExplorer , you can listen to the first Juz only with the only free voice of Mishari Rashid. You can’t listen to any Juz... Show more , Surah, or Ayah from another Juz unless you pay. So to get to the point, when did this become an option ? Why do we have to pay just so we can listen to Quran. There are those of us that can’t pay for other voices in QuranExplorer . And now you want us to pay just so we can listen to 29 Juz ? Are you serious ? I mean, this can go so many ways:

1. You get more money
2. People would pay more
3. QuranExplorer costs more (in purchases)
4. People will not use your app

There are a lot of opinions on this, but I don’t have that much time to express mine’s as of now. My point is, please make it free to listen to the other 29 Juz of the Quran instead of paying.

The only reason that makes me give this amazing app 3 is the fact that there is something wrong with audio files for Mahmood Al-Bana. I have downloaded some sheikhs on my device so that I can listen to Qur'an offline. All reciters work fine except for Sheikh Al-Bana in Surat Al-Baqarq from Aya 96 t... Show more o 113!
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the application many times but it didn’t work! I tried updating the files, but the same issue still exists. No matter the device is connected to the wifi or not, when it shifts from aya 96 to 97, it says “Network error. Invalid data received. Please try again”. I was hoping that V. 2.5 would include a fix for this bug, but it didn’t.
Please let me know when the issue is fixed so that I can review my rating cause I love QuranExplorer.

thanks to developers for the free good basic version that is also ad-free. Just few thoughts on possibly adding perks like daily duas, prayer times, hadiths and may be helpful self-tracking ideas for everyday supplication and reading in addition to more translations as a suggestion. Show more be good to have a tool to jump directly to certain ayah or surah without having to click on the surah title to chose the next surah. there are apps out there that have those in the free versions, with ads though. again, good job! just comments to make it even better.

I haven't even used QuranExplorer to its full potential and yet all other Holy Quran apps pale in comparison. I've tried using others but I get so frustrated because their use is not as user friendly. I can easily increase this font which is very helpful in class. I can easily change the reciter a... Show more nd the speed of the recitation. I can easily keep track of my place. I haven't even begun to use the translation and the tafsir. I used to use Quran Explorer on my laptop, but when a friend was using her tablet and I saw how convenient and easy it was, I jumped right on board . I have no regrets and barely remember how it was before.

I would recommend QuranExplorer to anyone during Ramadan and beyond. Well organized and the footnotes are so thorough. I recommend getting the full version, but the free version is almost as good. During the 9th chapter I think it goes mute and says it's playing but no sound comes out. It doesn't stop till you power off and on the iPad and skip through that section. But I think it's cuz my iPad is possessed. I don't think it's QuranExplorer . Works just fine on my phone.

Mashallah this is a very good application, I have been using full version of this for last few years and it performed without any glitch. All praises to Allah. I have been expecting that Bengali translation will be incorporated in this application, since nearly 200 million Muslims speak in Bengali.... My dad first download QuranExplorer for me and I love it! It has been great use to me. But now after 4 years I memorized the whole Quran. It’s every single word and became a haditha. I don’t need it but I enjoy reading it! It literally hypnotized my brother, who is 3! He loves reading and learning... Show more new surahs! I am very very proud! Thank you! I’ve been using the premium version for years and I think it’s one of the best Quran apps. I only wish they could add the tajweed version for reading, the ability to create playlists of surahs for those studying the Quran, and adding more reciters like Sheikh Noreen to incorporate more recitation s... Importance note about audio issue (Husary):
There seems to be an issue with Sheikh Husari’s audios - since he is often used for memorization/tajweed practice, it would be helpful to fix his audio. I’ve come across issues for Juz 30 so far.

QuranExplorer is wonderful for reading Quran. I love it.
I uploaded the full paid version and was excited to be able to use the audio to listen to Quran at work during Ramadan.
Sadly, only surah Fatah plays on the audio. All other surahs, I get an invalid error message.

I love QuranExplorer it has helped me read and translate the Koran although my first language is Arabic

Teach your children the Arabic because this is how you will really enjoy reading the Koran and appreciate its meanings

I’ve downloaded the Quran Explorer app on all the smart phones I’ve ever had and it’s been very helpful and convenient. It’s a wonderful wash app to use. When using it, one can go directly to a particular Surah or Ayah without having to scroll and scroll, by just choosing the Surah and ayah number ... Show more and it shows up. There is also an audio recitation option if one wants to hear it being recited. It has tafseer also. Too many good things about QuranExplorer that I’m sure I’m forgetting to type on here at the moment but it’s a very useful app to have.

I’ve been using this for several years now. Upgraded from the free version to the paid one few months after the initial download. Must say it’s been the best investment ever. I really like the UI and appreciate the updates the developers give us. The best part is that the translation and commentary... Show more is great(English version at least). I also like that I can change the font size, the reciters and playing speed....I could go on and on! 😄

Though I have been using it for a long time and the application is great in every way, yet I feel there is a little need for improvement in the bookmark section.
Dear sir, is it possible to add folder to bookmarks? Sometimes, while reading with meaning, I pause and think over a particular verse and wish to bookmark that relevant verse with a folder name to save other bookmarks of the same kind to organise them properly for future references. I have been using this software for several years now. Great updates. I don't think any other Quran software even comes close. Especially the new scroll feature is awesome. Makes me stay concentrated and read better and faster. My mom and several other family members use it. For others who give a b... Show more ad rating because they cannot download it etc should check their device or Internet connection. So if you are looking for a good Quran software get it. I should probably get paid for this review but really it is awesome if you use it and know how to.

Love QuranExplorer and have used it for over 5 years. But I don’t know if something happened with the last update but much of the search functionality isn’t working. I can only search for “Affixes” but the buttons for “Exact”, “All Roots”, or “Al-Quran” or any translations simply don’t respond and... Show more don’t work. I use the search functionality a TON and it’s very frustrating that most of it doesn’t work since it’s one of the most useful features in this outstanding app. Please please fix it and I will change this review to 5 stars. I love the fact that I can read the Quran with translation (and commentary! This has REALLY helped me understand various ayahs in the Quran in their proper contexts) anywhere on the go!
I also love the way you can personalize bookmarks and hear recitations from different reciters. What I’d like... My family use QuranExplorer daily to listen to, and as the children grow up, I hope to use it as a teaching tool not only to translate, but also to discuss the history and timeline of the suras.

I believe about last month there was an update that took away the feature to listen to the complete recitation of the Quran for free. I’ve been using QuranExplorer for many years, and listening the to the full recitation of the Quran for free, but the update took away that feature and now requires... Show more the full version. Usually, you were able to listen with only one reciter when you have the free version. Now, you can only listen to the first Juz with one reciter on the free version. This is the only app I’ve found that allows you to slow down or speed up your recitation of choice. For me, that means I can choose a reciter I like who may be too fast for me to follow along with, by slowing down the speed.
