THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE ASHAMED

First off all of the recent reviews of LSATMax are 1 star should that should be your first sign! Second, It is ridiculous that in a global pandemic this company will not issue refunds on UNUSED tutoring hours. I bought three hours of private tutoring and was unable to utilize ANY of them before my test date due to certain events and when I inquired about a refund I was told under no circumstance would they give me my money back. In a time where people are picking lint out of their pockets, I think it is disgusting that this company would STEAL $300 of hard-earned money when A SERVICE WASN'T EVEN RENDERED. How can LSATMax maintain the belief that they care about their customers and that they are the #1 LSAT prep company on the market but WILL REFUSE to offer a refund when I purchased a service that I can not and will not be able to use because I have already taken my LSAT. I am not in the business of giving FREE money when there are people in desperate need right now. If other LSAT prep companies offer refunds then why isn't LSATMax? I will be sure to let others know to seek other prep companies just in case unforeseeable events happen down the line and they need to be accommodated for such.

Caution

Company has blocked access to the product. They have indicated that, “We are not revoking your lifetime access”, (which was an option at the time of purchase), however blocking my access because I access the product through multiple devices. For convenience I have accessed the product via my IPad and through my organization laptop. Their website appears indicates that, “with the convenience of a course you can access on web or mobile…”. I have attempted to resolve the matter, however found their response unreasonable and arbitrary.

It seems like a great product. However based on my experience I would suggest you proceed with caution. The product is not cheap and if they can chose not to honor your purchase, you may not be able to reap the full potential of the product.

SCAMMERS

When I first decided to take the LSAT my fee waiver application on LSAC was in review and I see this site/app as a recommended course or tool for the exam. Initially the instructor seemed nice but I noticed the outrageous prices of $500-$900. So I chose to only utilize the free material. However the next day I asked a simple question for help on what would acceptable for a law school personal statement (in mind that these instructors are either law students or former law students) and they told me they don’t want to discuss that at the moment and for me to send them my fee waiver. Yes I have a fee waiver from LSAC but that has absolutely nothing to do with this company. Also I noticed not many people are active on LSATMaxLSATPrepTutoring in 2021. additionally, these prices are rigged there’s a vast amount of free courses and material out there —beginning with KHAN academy as I have free access thanks to LSAC! I can’t believe this company. You offer free services and don’t even engage properly with students. They’re just money hungry. And it says $595 but after taxes it’s $690. So imagine the $900 package.

176 no thanks to this company

Stupidly bought the $1000 subscription and virtually only used it for the test infrastructure (which you can get with a law hub subscription alone) because I did not find the memorization based test method effective for me. I assume most of these reviews are from a time before there was decent test prep competition or from people that don’t know better. If you don’t believe me look at what the LSAT subreddit has to say about this service.

When I stopped using this service my high practice test was a 166 (up from a cold diagnostic of a 158). I ended up switching to 7sage and then LSAT Demon but there are also a lot of other good options out there.

After switching I had to relearn how to approach a lot of question types but was able to get practice tests into the low 170s within 2-3 months. I studied for another several months with a high practice test of 180 and my ten most recent test before the real test averaging 174.5. I scored a 176 on my final lsat no thanks to this service.

Be prepared for lots of calls

I downloaded LSATMaxLSATPrepTutoring because I really wanted to use it to study for my LSAT but I definitely wasn’t expecting to get phone calls within two days of having it. The phone calls, in my eyes, were pretty intrusive considering I was just starting out with studying and didn’t know where I wanted to go to law school yet, etc. I pretty much deleted LSATMaxLSATPrepTutoring right after that because I didn’t sign up for phone calls when I had a pre-law advisor at my college that I can ask any of my questions to. After about a month (of it being deleted off my phone as well) I received ANOTHER call and then finally tried to block that number. It’s fine if you want the help and to ask questions, however, we should have been notified of that before-hand.

Great lessons, glitchy app

I downloaded LSATMaxLSATPrepTutoring in order to improve my score and ran into a lot of technical problems right off the bat. (The videos wouldn’t stream or download on my iPad or mobile device, the tests would skip to the next section randomly and make me start over, my phone wouldn’t show the progress that had been made on my account, not showing me the scaled score at the ends of exams...) The support people were really responsive and did their best to assist, but every time they told me it was simply a bug with LSATMaxLSATPrepTutoring that needed to be fixed in the next update. (After two months this update still hasn’t been available.) As someone who paid for premium (~$900) to use this in preparation for my LSAT that was three months from the time of purchase, it’s frustrating to have to wait for the product I paid for to work. If the platform worked as it was supposed to, I would give it 5 stars for the quality of the information, but two months in, I’m just not sure just the constant glitching and hassles with technical issues makes it worth it. Hopefully they will have everything ironed out for the next round of test-takers.

Great resource for self studying but has its flaws

First off, I would like to say this is a good resource for self studying for the LSAT. As you have access to hundreds of questions(probably more) and hundreds of LSAT practice exams. The only flaw for this company is that they do have a fair amount of glitches in their system. Sometimes their questions are wrong that are marked as right. As well as the overall format of the sections tends to have glitches specifically the reading comp practice section. They host office hours ever so often which is great because it’s basically free tutoring but on specific topics with other students. I wasn’t too happy with the tutoring service I paid for with them although, because a lot of the times I came out of the sessions feeling like i didn’t get much information, especially in relation to the specific information I made my session for. Overall, I think there biggest area of improvement should be on their reading comp. The reading comp has the least amount of guidance as they just jump into the passages and only about 6 of them have explanations which is not much at all.

But, overall I was able to increase my score, so I am happy with the source, but I think it does has some room for improvement!

Great if you know what to study

I found this curriculum very helpful if you knew what type of logical reasoning questions you wanted to study. It also had a good overview of logic games but hardly any real help with reading comprehension. There are helpful videos for a very select number of questions, though all questions are explained by request. I wish the books supplied had more substance in them (like a transcript or something). Personally, I just didn't think the books supplied were very useful.

Use this for all your logical reasoning questions, 7sage for logic game explanations and powerscore for more about game setup, and basically just read to improve reading comprehension or look to powerscore for more reading comprehension help.

I bought the premium edition of this course and have definitely improved my score, but I probably wouldn't invest over $900 again unless there was more curriculum development in the logic games and reading comprehension areas.

Best $950 I have spent

I was a little aprehensive purchasing this LSAT PREP course after my school was offering a in person prep course for about $1000+ in pricing that wanted their payment weeks in advance and the quality was just TRASH to say the least. The course they offered us did not allow us to maximize on our learning or improve in our areas of opportunity it had limited access and was a big waste of money. HOWEVER, I love the breakdown LSAT MAX prep gives in each video, it explains everything well, and I look forward to increasing my score over time. It is designed to match your pace and needs, you can also have the application on the go making it convenient and comfortable. It is TRULY an amazing app dedicated to students who are struggling with grasping the material and WORTH every Penny. LSATMaxLSATPrepTutoring also allows you to finance the course for the individuals who cannot afford to front all of the money on the spot. GREAT WORK! Love LSATMaxLSATPrepTutoring !

Highly Recommended!

I was using all of the PowerScore materials to self study for the September LSAT, however did not see my scores go up. I had started my prep three months before the September LSAT. A month and two weeks away from the test day I decided to use another program and came across LSATMax. This program was very easy to use and the materials covered help me understand where I was not scoring high. Not only that it also gave me access to several practice problems and also allowed me to access answer keys that gave an in depth explanation on why the answer is correct. I would definitely recommend this program. If I had known about it sooner I would've probably stuck to LSATMax!

Nate Stein

Nate always goes above and beyond to make sure his students succeed. Whenever I had a question on a particular topic or wasn’t quite grasping a new piece of information, he would find creative ways to explain the concept to me using helpful metaphors and a range of examples. Nate’s patience is unmatched, and he approaches each explanation with a level of enthusiasm you could expect from someone teaching something for the first time, even though I’m sure he’s covered these topics many times over. I couldn’t have asked for a better tutor to work with and am so grateful for Nate’s help!

Better than a traditional course

Assuming you have the discipline to study on your own, which you kind of need for law school, this is better than an in-person course. The video lectures are as good as traditional lectures, and you can rewatch them as needed. The instructors are easy to each, and they will personally walk you through practice questions that trip you up, often tying them back into the lesson. This course doesn't just teach strategy; it teaches you the thinking behind the content, which is ultimately what the LSAT is testing. I haven't taken the LSAT yet, but I'm confident that this course will get me to the best possible result. I don't think I could have chosen better.

Amazing resource to work at your own pace with guidance and tutoring option

I started studying with LSATMaxPrep after being recommended by multiple friends at my university! The lesson plan and materials are such a great way to lay a foundation down in the first few months of studying and be familiar with all things LSAT. Then there are weekly office hours on every single subject and topic as well as all the recording of past ones in a library, so that there is always an available resource to target specific areas of improvement. So far I have had one tutoring session which was great and helped me make a personalized schedule and understand what kind of test taker I am. It’s feels so personalized and yet universal! I highly recommend!

Tutoring - Sam Adondakis

I am fairly new to using this program (started end of June) but I have been fairly pleased with using it. Everything is online which is great, including the tutoring sessions.

I have had about 5 sessions with Sam and it’s been great. He is really helpful in making sure that you understand and learn the information. Even when you make a mistake or get a question wrong, he’s always encouraging in helping you to understand every aspect of the question. You are not just learning tricks to pass each answer. You are learning concepts, terms and foundations, which is something that I appreciate and is important to know. Overall, he has been very helpful.

Incredible study aid, you will get out of this exactly what you put into it.

If self studying and motivation aren’t an issue, this is an unbelievable resource to prepare you for the LSAT. The lectures are very well done and you have the option to watch them at 1.5 and 2x speeds, thank goodness. This includes sooooo many practice questions, which is the key to success after you understand how to approach them. The question set up and answer breakdown videos were invaluable to me in the beginning. I wouldn’t say that you need a program like this one to be successful on your exam, but without a doubt this program (and many many hours) will help increase your score.

Highly recommend.

Excellent structure, great tutors

Throughout my entire LSAT studies I have gone with LSAT Max Prep. It has not disappointed me once. Throughout the struggles and stress LSAT Max Prep has really helped me learn my material in a productive way. I am going to be taking the LSAT Flex in 11 days and I feel quite confident about it. My score has risen 15 points since my first practice test. When I hit a wall I sought out a tutor. LSAT Max Prep parried me with the tutor Ben Mingov and he has been extremely helpful so far. He is a very intelligent person that’s doesn’t just know his stuff, he knows how to teach it. When I hit a wall, Ben really helped me get over it and back into studying how I should be. Overall LSAT Max Prep & Ben have been beyond essential to my LSAT studying and I would recommend them to anyone looking for LSAT Prep courses.

Best Way To Study For LSAT

This prep course is truly the best way to study for the LSAT. I had used various other LSAT prep courses such as Kaplan and the only one that helped me exponentially improve my score was LSATMax. From the endless hours of video tutorials along with the arsenal of prep tests, this prep course has it all. Another extraordinary feature of the course is the analytics tool, which helps to break down each area of the test and see where improvement is needed. I found myself still struggling with the logic games and was then paired with a private tutor, Ben Mingov. Ben was incredibly bright and was able to teach me a strategy regarding how to attack the logic games. This truly helped to boost my confidence level as a whole. Overall, I would highly recommend this course to anyone on their LSAT Journey!

Thanks LSATMax and Ravi

LSATMax has been incredibly helpful in my law school journey. I started with a diagnostic test score in the low 150’s and raised it to the high 160’s. The flexible program helped a lot with my logical reasoning and logic games, as they went from my worst sections to my strongest.

I would also be remiss if I did not mention all the help I received from my tutor, Ravi. He’s an absolute pro with the LSAT and can readily break down even the most confusing question into its most basic form. His experience studying for the LSAT also gave him the ability to help me come up with a detailed study plan to help me break through the score ceiling I seemed to hit about halfway through my studies. Finally, his relaxed personality and patience made him really easy to work (even when I struggled with sufficient and necessary early on). I definitely would not have been able to raise my score by 16 point without Ravi’s help.

Wise Investment

I’m very satisfied with the quality and services TestMax/LSATMax provides. I usually don’t write reviews unless a product/service is either very well or very poorly done, so this is telling because otherwise it is not a wise use of my time (!!!). At first, I was extremely apprehensive about getting an online tutoring service, but I spend a lot of time on the road for work, and in-person classes would not work with the unpredictability of my work/travel schedule. I don’t regret my decision. The information provided is unparalleled and in-depth, especially if you get the Premium Package (the one with all the tests and the Economist subscription). It’s worth the investment if you want a high LSAT score, and if you want the flexibility of building your own study schedule. It feels like having a private tutor and an LSAT class, but without all the unnecessary pomp and circumstance (high price, limited meeting time, generic teaching style/fit, etc.)

Tutoring Session with Sam

I am really happy after my 10hours of tutoring with LSAT MAX tutor, Sam Adondakis. I have a lot test anxiety and do get flustered when thrown into the spotlight. The LSAT is a beast that I had little control of. Sam’s style of tutoring have been relaxed yet informed. Sam is easy to work with and has been nothing but supportive. You get the feeling that you can actually achieve the desired score you’re striving for. My confidence definitely grew. Not only this, he’s been approachable and flexible to make sure I got the most out my tutoring hours. He really cared and was invested in my progress. Thank you Sam!
