Disappointed and frustrated

2022-05-21

I downloaded PregnancyTracker at the suggestion of another mom. I enjoyed seeing a realistic version of the baby week-by-week, until I got to week 33. PregnancyTracker then wanted me to pay to be able to continue to see what I had already been seeing. This is our rainbow baby and also IVF baby - we overcame a lot of obstacles to even get to this point, and even though it’s just an app, it’s kind of a slap in the face that I suddenly cannot keep up with the week-by-week updates for the baby. Sure, it’s not a lot of money, but I feel like it’s a total sham that they pull you in and then want your money when you know it’s getting close to your due date. Can PregnancyTracker developer not make their money in a less insensitive way? Pay for doctor notes or tips or something? Frustrating.

Terrible!

2022-06-22

I can’t believe I payed for this! It got stuck at 36 weeks and now my baby has been born for a month and it still shows that I am 36 weeks. It is impossible to contact anyone for help if something goes wrong with PregnancyTracker ! There is not even an option to get help anywhere. The information they give you about pregnancy is not that useful and you can easily find it for free on the internet—same with images. The info on when to see doctors (pregnancy checkups) at certain points in pregnancy will not necessarily line up with how often your insurance allows it, so that’s useless. There were lots of other things wrong... to be fair the other apps I tried were even worse.

Good App but PUSH to buy paid version

2022-07-23

I enjoyed PregnancyTracker, however, there should be a disclaimer or more information provided on what information is available on the free version vs. the paid. I would go with a different app because other than the 3D feature it gives pretty much the same info but pushes you to pay for it. Moreover while downloading or setting it up, it never says anything about only be free for two weeks on this version. Looking at the other reviews, the developers also said it's only free for the trimester which is pointless if you're trying to track the whole pregnancy but can't justify why you should pay for information that is on other apps free. I've used about 7 different apps and while user friendly, I can't justify paying to just see a 3D image when all the other features are free on similarly rated apps.

PRO: User friendly, 3D image
CON: Unclear paid features, provides same information as other free apps (except the 3D image)

Narrow Focus

2022-08-24

I'm an SMC (single mom by choice). There are a lot of us, as well as plenty of women who are in same-sex relationships and plenty of women who are left single and pregnant not by their choice.
Of all the pregnancy apps, this is the one that's the most heavy-handed about assuming that a pregnant woman is a part of a heterosexual couple. Most pages have prompts asking about how dad is doing and have suggestions such as "ask dad to help...". Other apps mention fathers, but it doesn't feel as presumptuous. It appears as though Sprout has never considered that there isn't always a dad and there's nothing wrong with that.

The only reason I bought PregnancyTracker was for the week-by-week interactive fetus, which is worthwhile and better than some others.

Prepare to be talked to like a child

2022-09-25

I don’t know who’s writing the “The doctor says” advice section, but I can’t imagine it’s anyone who’s been a pregnant adult.
So far, it’s said that I’ll be a “monster mom!” due to fluctuating hormones (maybe just tell me that I’ll have stronger emotional reactions because of the hormones), and reminded to say “Excuse me!” when my relaxed muscles cause indigestion, among other “cute” tidbits of advice.
If men could get pregnant, would you talk to THEM like this, Sprout? Yeah, I don’t think so.
I just need information that will help me understand what’s going on as my body and baby changes. I’m an adult and I expect to be talked to like one, regardless of whether there’s a baby inside of me.

Not worth it!

2022-10-26

I’m on my third child and I see no need to pay for an app like this with so many good ones out. This is only the first, I would use the sprout baby app to track my nursing and pumping times but wouldn’t have permission to track my babies development unless I paid which seemed weird because there were ads on the nursing pages. I know you get paid from advertisers when I accidentally click their links while trying to update PregnancyTracker with one hand while nursing so why do I also need to pay for PregnancyTracker ? I’m at 24 weeks and it still says I’m 12 weeks so just beware that you will only reach 12 weeks pregnant according to PregnancyTracker unless you pay.

Images are not accurate - foetus shown more developed

2022-11-27

This has been a great app so far to keep track of certain pregnancy notes and how the baby is developing. However, their digital images show the foetus more developed than it actually is in reality. Almost is if they are jumping ahead a few weeks each time. Other applications are way more realistic, if you compare for example the 10 week digital image of PregnancyTracker with “Baby center” and then our 3D ultrasound.

I would encourage the development team to improve said images (especially weeks 7-11).

Tricky

2022-12-28

I loved PregnancyTracker and recommended PregnancyTracker to my husband because it has awesome 3D imagery but I got a pop up after two weeks of use that I would have to pay to continue to use it. I went back to App Store and looked and no where does it say that you have to pay for the FREE version. I read the reviews and everyone else seems to have an issue with this. Because of this, I won’t be using PregnancyTracker anymore. I hope, in the future, you can tell people up front they will have to pay after a 2-week trial period.

Good enough

2023-01-29

It’s really good to help me keep track of where I am in my pregnancy. I don’t use the journal so not interested in the future.

What I don’t like though is when PregnancyTracker gives its opinion on what you should or should not do during your pregnancy. They have a ‘The Doc Says” section which gives you a new piece of information everyday. I would rather have these information focused on the fœtus development, your body changes, and perhaps advice on things to help with pregnancy discomfort. But don’t tell me what I can or cannot eat, drink or do during my pregnancy. Also not a big fan of the “name ideas.” Instead I’d rather know another scientific fact about what’s happening in my body. Talk about relaxin, physical changes in my body (not just the baby’s), fun facts and anecdotes about certain things that happen to certain women on a specific day of their pregnancy, etc. But please STOP giving me your opinion on what you think I should do during my pregnancy. Also, perhaps you guys should read the book “Expecting Better” where the author gives us all of the raw data while giving us the opportunity to make our own decisions. That’s what I would expect from an app like yours.

Great but limited

2023-03-02

I love the weekly picture of baby and adore then included heart earth. I think the journal is great, the checklist neat and the format pretty good.

I do wish it was more inclusive and useful for people having home birth. There is a checklist for women to bring for their birth in a hospital but no such option for a homebirth. A homebirth checklist would be amazing. Example of some of the things a home birth checklist could contain: birth kit recommended by your care provider which includes medical pads and umbilical cord clamp, plastic mattress cover and double sheets, clean towels, a birth pool of intending to birth in pool, a way to drain said pool, snacks for birthing such as frozen grapes or coconut water, music if you want it.

The list goes on. It would also be nice if PregnancyTracker was inclusive of medical choices like midwives. As it is, I do like PregnancyTracker , but since it doesn’t actually help me, I’m not sure if it was worth the money I spent on it. I’m going to recheck if there is an area to put in medical information as it comes too, but I do t think it has that option either.

Great app overall. Just missing a feature.

2023-03-31

I love PregnancyTracker, it’s been great for keeping track of almost everything. The only thing that I have issue with is that there is no option for mothers that are having to go through with Cesarean. I’m 32 Weeks pregnant and have kept hoping that something would show up or there would at least be a mention of questions you could ask but there’s been nothing. The national Average from 2018 for women having a cesarean was 31.9% according to the CDC. That is a rather large margin of mother's to be left out of a pregnancy app.

Good start, but could use a few improvements.

2023-05-02

Pretty cool app overall but a lot can be improved. My baby will be mixed race and there is only an option for a white baby throughout your pregnancy. This feels really bizarre in 2018.

The images for the first few weeks are pretty crude. I understand that the baby is still mainly cells at this point, but app could do a better job at making it more visually pleasing. (I’m an artist so maybe I’m biased)

Ic is also not very intuitive. Good first start, but would love to see some improvements.

Helpful in pregnancy!

2023-06-02

I like PregnancyTracker because it really breaks down what’s happening with your baby. I love the journal tab and documenting the journey. One thing is I wish seeing the due date was more visible on the home screen instead of the numbers of days left. Overall I am happier with PregnancyTracker than the last one I used.

Great app with some limits

2023-07-04

I have loved PregnancyTracker for both pregnancies. I wish you could put some features on the main nav. For example it is just too many clicks to get to the contraction timer. It's a
really valuable tool but I need it quickly when I need it. An integration with Siri would be a great up grade as well - "Siri, start contraction".

Good job guys

2023-08-04

I found this incredible every week to see the changes in the baby. The information (next to the picture of the baby) was beautiful and amazing.

To be honest, the amount of information and changes in the weekly photos began to sound repetitive around 20 weeks. There didn’t seem to be as much information provided (compared to first trimester). But, that could just be because that’s how it goes!?

I didn’t use PregnancyTracker to its full potential. The weight tracker was great, and the appointment questions. Thank you for providing ideas of what to ask.

Regardless, this is a well thought-out application for your pregnancy....especially your first baby.

I actually miss waking up every Sunday to see the next week’s stage of my unborn baby. It was a special time!

Thank you Sprout!

My 4 year old loves it

2023-09-05

My 4 year old loves PregnancyTracker it gives him a way to see how his sibling is growing since he's so excited and can’t wait until the baby arrives every time he wants to see the baby we just open up PregnancyTracker and he’s able to see or have an idea how the baby looks or doing.

Great experience.

2023-10-07

First time grandad, after 4 years my child trying to have her own and with the blessings from God this little one finally is coming and we are thrilled to see it growing up day by day, we all are so excited and PregnancyTracker is helping us tremendously. Great super app. Thanks a lot.

Great timeline, visuals, lists, and info

2023-11-07

PregnancyTracker includes a journal you can update with pictures. At the end of your journey, you can order it as a photo book. It also has a timeline, an area to add appointments with any questions you may have. It has a baby gear checklist to help. Overall, I’m really liking it so far.

Very able to have

2023-12-09

PregnancyTracker is one of the best apps out there it gives a lot of advice help in any other accessories that you will need throughout pregnancy. There are a few things that I would fix, having to pay to see where your baby looks like that month and I think that we should be able to not pay and be able to see what our baby looks like that month however I love PregnancyTracker. I used it once and it was a miracle.

Okay but needs customization for second and third time moms

2024-01-09

Great overall but wish it could be customized to first baby or second or third. If you already have had one baby it should give you different and more appropriate daily facts/info.

Less content, worse graphics than other free apps

2024-11-15

If PregnancyTracker were totally free, I would rate it higher at probably 3 stars. It aggressively pushes you to pay to upgrade, and then blocks usage if you don’t after so many uses. It has nothing to offer over the various freely available apps. There is less content, less community interaction and fewer features. Would not recommend PregnancyTracker over the free ones even if it were free, and I would never recommend someone pay for it.

Interface needs improvement

2024-11-15

I’ve got a paid version, but got disappointed as it didn’t save my journal entries. Apparently, clicking “done” after entry was made doesn’t save it. Later I noticed that there was yet another step process that would need to be found n clicked in efforts for it to be saved. Would be thoughtful if it saved automatically vs a several step process and no warnings :(

I love this app!

2024-11-15

This is the best app that i downloaded to keep track with my pregnancy. Its so easy to use and you can customize it to notify you for different things. On iPhone its super interactive. Baby moves and you can even hear the heartbeat! Amazing app. A must have!

Love this app

2024-11-15

Really love PregnancyTracker. I love how you can hear what the baby’s heartbeat sounds like I love how you can look at the fetus in 3D. My 4 yr old loves it too. Every time I open PregnancyTracker she gets excited and says my baby brother😂(that’s what we’re hoping for🙏🏾) SERIOUSLY THO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PREGNANCY APP THIS IS IT‼️‼️
