2 years agoI have had the Daily Bfead app for quite a few years and never had a problem. I have it on my Samsung tablet. Just this week as soon as I open the app, it closes. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and the same thing happens. Help, please!

2 years agoThe app just started crashing each time I try. Has worked perfectly for a long time. Uninstalled, reinstalled, re-started phone...same issue. Will come up for a few seconds and disappears.

3 years agoI have used the Our Daily Bread app for a couple of years now and never had any problems. Just this week I’ve had problems with the app opening the devotion for the day. It just won’t do it. Is there something I can do to get the app working again?

3 years agoI have had this app almost 4 years and never had a problem. Today my daily devotional would not come up and all of January, February, and March devotionals are not downloaded. I have shut off my phone twice and nothing changes. Also checked App Store and no messages. I’ve reentered password and nothing. Please help.

Love the app, when it works
Ok, this is really getting annoying! When the app received its newest update version the app would not open! Realize everyone that updated to the new version was also experiencing the same thing! Wrote a review and the developers advised to delete the app. Once that was done the app worked. Now as of April 1, 2021 the app is blank for today’s reading, and when you click on the month it opens and the spinning wheel just continues to spin like it’s trying to open! VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! I thought it was a April fool joke but this is getting annoying because the next day it’s the same! Someone on the develop team is/has been slacking on working out the quirks to this app!!! And other main issue is when the new version was updated you all took away the motivation count of how many days being read! This was a cool feature and very motivating!! WHY?!??! Not liking none of this. And when mentioned about the day count on my last review complaint, the developers only address the crashing of the new version, and failed to mentioned about the day count. Could address that as well please?!?!?!? God bless!!!

My girls and I read ODB each morning and have really enjoyed it. I love that i can share it with people and easily go back and reread or read ones we’ve missed. This morning i could not get the app to open and saw that it had done an Update. I had to delete the app and reinstall it to get it to work. I will say that we are not too thrilled about this latest updates format/layout and find that the layout they had previously was much more user friendly when it came to finding and accessing what you are looking for. Especially when looking for past days devotions.

Great devotions - some bugs in app
I've used the Our Daily Bread devotions for many years now and enjoy them a lot! I will frequently bookmark the ones that speak to me and share them at the beginning of church meetings. I do have one issue and one request. The app will freeze if I try opening it at certain times of the day - I'm not sure if that's when it has the heaviest load and thus has trouble downloading the devotion or what. The second is that I find the "You read x days in a row!" counter very demoralizing. I only use the app as part of my weekday routine so every week I'm starting over and feeling like a failure since I can never get over 5. I would love to see an option added to be able to turn that off. Some people may appreciate that extra bit of motivation, but for others, it's very guilt producing - not what you want from a devotion app that is supposed to build your faith up. Thanks for listening!
